This is the start of my journey, beginning with 1-10 day art cards for the 100 day project. I'm working on Rolodex art cards but using sheets of rotary cards that I can collage on and then put through my printer.
In this video I'm going to show you how I collage on blank rotary cards to make a sheet of art cards, and then what happens when I run the sheets through my printer with some postal themed illustrations.

I am having so much fun with this project! I am using an old Rolodex, similar to the one you are using, that I was lucky enough to score at an estate sale for $1! I am also using photos from an old album that I purchased at the flea market and am going old school by collaging my backgrounds with scraps. My plan is to do a weeks worth of cards in a different theme. So far so good! Thank you for the inspiration, Margarete! I have never done the 100 day project but I'm feeling confident that I can do this AND enjoy it.

If you can’t find a Rolodex you could use index cards in a recipe box instead.

I'm doing 100 days of tags/pockets, using bases from my use it box and decorating only with what is within reach. Kind of a clean my desk 100 day project. 😊

I used to call the horizontal card holder a Flipodex! I would imagine that there's a punch that makes the Rolodex slots, so you could use the Avery template with cardstock, cut out the cards, and punch the slots.

No worries, Margarete - I totally understand! I wa anxious about not keeping up as well, but somehow I’ve managed to do a project a day so far! Work has been intense… it seems as if the Sr. Leaders decided my team of 12 should have a new roll out the DAY AFTER Day 1 (how do they always know?!? 😂) I love your channel btw! Especially as a relatively new paper crafter. My niche is specifically mixed media, collage and junk journaling so with that I’ve decided to hone my craft overall. My first 100 Day Project, I’ve decided to do whatever flows to me the night before for the following day - so anything that I can do that will allow me to look back and measure my improvement post 100 days as it relates to techniques that are associated with my new hobby of junk journaling is what I’ll be doing; mostly hoping to improve composition, layout, and process! Anywho - as U mentioned, I love your channel, so I’ve decided to do cards inspired by you here and there to add to my journals or mixed media pieces throughout the project. You inspire me so much. Thank you for sharing your gift!!!

I just saw this today I’m so excited to try this with you! I’ve known about your various challenges, but never felt I could keep up with them, but this challenge is, yes, 100 days, but small spaces! Luckily I have a Heidi Swapp Rolodex & enough pages! After watching all your other Rolodex videos, I feel like I can do this! I think my first category will be “junk”! I’ve been saving tea tags, stickers off fruits & veggies, Chinese fortune cookie papers…etc! I’ve never added them to “regular” pages, but this a perfect place to play with them! Thank you so much! Thank you for the encouragement! I love the idea of the notebook with the folded pages as a base and it will work well for me since I'm going to do index cards. This will be my first 100 day project and I'm not going to be hard on myself if I can't get to it every sinle day. I'll just play catch up if I fall behind. I really just want to enjoy the process.

Margarete, I like your idea 🙂. I'm doing the 100 day's project too and started today. Not on rolodex cards but in a small artists book. But the idea is the same. Every day a small collage. I think I'll do one or two pages also just with simple papers and postage stamps, inspired by you. And then I print out the templates, fussy cut the stamps and glue those on the pages. So thanks for the idea and the templates ❤.

Those turned out great! I am continually impressed with how you make a larger collage and then cut it up and it looks good. The only small ones I have made (ATC size), I did each one individually.

I love how those turned out. Do you follow the alphabet and put things like birds, bat, blooms etc under “b” and so on? Or do you take the letters off from the Rolodex and just collage?

I don't sell any zines at the moment. I think the one you mentioned is one that I received. Check in the description of the video for a name of the creator.
