Looking great, can't wait to see the outcome, there's one dude down where I stay that has a 86 coupe and it's teal blue lol, but I don't see alot of these and it's a bummer but keep up the great work, you'll get there!!!! Much respect!!!
Hey man, loved the vid! :D Also I was wondering if your ae86 had tow hook mounts. :) Mine sadly doesn't, but I am trying to get a better picture of what they look like. ;)
It's got the factory mount strap down mount things on the very front of the two frame rails which you can see in the video. And I believe the holes on the very front frame rails would be were a tow hook would mount to?
Maybe thats the part which I was talking about and thank you so much for replying, but may I try to confirm that? :D The part I am talking about it kinda a box on the rear of the car that is directly below the bumper brackets. Looks like this. gyazo.com/eaf48849ca61adef238731980ed3cf6c gyazo.com/337d7a1d4241bd0088c37fe95e16b31a gyazo.com/168b535f06f9bed56b4b317846ebe8f8 Best regards, -treerexaudi Official @@TincanTuners
@@TincanTuners i ment undercarrige/chassis, and its a good idea to strenghten a chassis as well. Its 30something years old car and i bet it's a bit flimsy where chassis pannels meet, some spot welds tends to crack on ae86s. I overloocked that step in my restoration and i need to take a whole car apart again :(
Ah okay well there is actually very minimal rust underneath the car actually. But yeah it is old and everything but I don't have the ability to reinforce the frame myself unfortunately
