GAZ 53A firetruck sitting there 23 years Soviet truck long time hope it need battery air tires get the monster running from the grave awesome job my friend keep bringing new videos sit back relax eating vegetable soup
Bro, u just never dealt with this type of soviet crap irl. These trucks were total shit even when they were brand new. If u were working on this type of truck, daily drive it back in 70s, this junk needed a repair twice a week, I’m not joking. Also keep in mind that this thing produces like 150 hp with a fuel consumption of 37litres/100 km lol
I like watching your videos where you start those cars or trucks that seem to have been forgotten. They are so eager to start with your help as if they still want to ride and live. These trucks can still handle a lot. They would need to be sold to people who will reuse their potential and let them continue to operate!. Thanks for the video!.
*sits for 23 years* *Starts up and drives away like it was parked yesterday* Soviet made vehicles are literally indestructible. It's incredible how well built they made cars. The simpler the better.
Any vehicle from any part of the world with that old technology will start and run if not suffering a big mechanical failure. I’ve run many cars from the 40’s to the 70’s and none have let me down ..the few times I’ve deemed to run modern stuff they’ve been useless for reliability from broken parts .poor electronic faults .and they say Lucas electrics were bad back in the day .not compared to todays electronic uselessness
"The genius of a invention lies in it's simpleness, everyone can build complex." That said Sergey Korolyov once, the most influent rocket engineer of the USSR who send the first man in space.
@@craigpimlott204 That is true, but eastern vehicles were just build different, you can torture them but they never die, i mean, what other truck could do this everyday: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AcPvHobX3D0.html
@@DanaTheInsane Thats wrong, the eastern bloc had quite the same tolerances as the west. I have an east german moped, the engine tolerances are a few hundreds of a millimeter and most new spare parts have bigger tolerances than the original GDR parts. And by the way, it is more efficient than the scooter from 2020 that i had.
When i was child(about twenty five years ago) in my village was abandoned the same GAZ firetruck in worse shape than truck in this video. That truck was like playing attraction for village children))
Flexiny you are so young that you bring such cars to life and I have not watched it yet, but I definitely like it because I know that this is another cool video
Actually I think that a restoration on such a car probably easier than on some of the more modern cars with all the electronics. This is very simple design, it's very robust, so I'm not surprised it actually fired up after all those years.
Aluminum engines were one of the first in the world to be installed on GAZ. The very first one was on a GAZ 13 Chaika limousine
That was awesome hearing the engine rev you knew you had a V8 under the hood rebuild the carb upgrade to a performance exhaust system new wiring brakes suspension those upgrades will make it a sporty firetruck why not it would be fun.
What I most like about this video is the title: “Starting….” There must be a thousand You Tube vids that say “Will it run?” Or some variation. Of COURSE those cars, trucks, tractors, whatever, will run. If they don’t start we would never see the video.
I have thought about that also. Can’t really write” will it run” and “ test drive” in same headline. Vice grip garage Derek has had two cars over the years that he gave up on.
@@maikelnait4495Matt at Diesel Creek picked up an absolutely shot track loader recently. It had ALL the warnings of a machine that was junk: abandoned for years in a yard full of scrap-ready equipment; partially disassembled; obsolete brand. He is savvy enough to know right away it wasn’t worth saving - but that he could squeeze a vid out of it before letting it sit, scrapping it, or maybe finding a desperate buyer for a few parts.
Fantastic) thanks a lot for your job! BTW I have a tips about this vehicle, gear box of GAZ 53 doesn’t have synchronizers. And unfortunately you must use double clutch.
