Girl, I feel ya! At 34 I decided to leave my horrible husband right after we lost our baby. His reaction to that was all I needed to know I was making the right decision to leave. But at 42 I’m now happily married, with 2 amazing step daughters and a husband who is so supportive and amazing. Cheers to coming out a better version of ourselves!

Divorce was the best thing that ever happened to me. The breakthroughs, lessons, growth, self-worth epiphanies, and my strengthened relationship with God was birthed from it. It all works out. 🙏🏾✨✨

I got divorced in 2019 as a 29 year old. Single mom to a 5 year old. I left an 8 year marriage that did not serve me and where I was headed in life! Best thing ever, at the time it was difficult but I’m so happy I did that. I spent 3 years finding myself and not competing to any relationship. Today I am married to the man of my dreams, with another child 6 month old and my 10 year old from previous marriage. I am an entrepreneur, with a very supportive husband. We live on a 5 acre land living my version of happiness today.

As a child of divorce, I can say that what matters is not the divorce, but how your parents choose to live their lives and work on themselves afterwards. Your path to loving yourself again is the best thing you can do as a parent. I've been feeling lost in life and really resonate with your struggles in your 30s - watching you gives me hope that I can learn to love life again. You're glowing inside and out!!

I was diagnosed with cancer just before my 30th birthday while I was TTC and it's completely changed my perspective on life. How I show up to work, how I view friendships, how I plan to live the rest of my life, etc. I know I would have looked back on my death bed regretting so much if this hadn't had happened to me. It's crazy what divine things have to happen to make us realize happiness isn't in things, it's in experiences with the people around us and in our mindsets

Starting over is scary especially when you’re in your thirties, but it’s the best thing to do if you’re in an impossible marriage. I divorced at 36 , got lots of therapy, worked on myself and then I dated for a couple of years (that was not fun! The pool of eligible men had changed quite drastically compared to what I was used to when I was younger). I finally met a wonderful man and remarried at 39 and have had two healthy babies with him. Although it didn’t feel likely at the time, anything is possible. Never give up on yourself and expect to be unconditionally loved by your partner and always walk away from anyone who has your dealbreakers. Good vibes and good luck to you!

Wow, I'm really impressed by how you were able to describe your journey - with clarity and confidence, while conveying the raw sheer pain you experienced for so long, acknowledging the role your culture, society, relationship, and even your own decision making played in the process, while also not tearing anyone (including your former self!) down and instead channeling all the pain into your own growth and love for your child. That really speaks to your growth, compassion, and maturity. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing.

Having a baby and another life to think about really changes EVERYTHING. I’m so proud of you for taking that leap and having the courage to choose yourself and chase happiness. My first baby was also born on Feb 20th and let me tell you… after I had her there was this huge flush of clarity and desire to protect that little baby that I cut out so many toxic family members like my own dad. So you go girl, I’m rooting for you!! ❤

We are so worried how we look to other people that we end up so miserable in making ourselves shiny on the outside all to realize years down the line…no one cares. No one literally cares. They only care if it benefits them or your life provides gossip for them. Why work so hard for other ppl? Do you girl. ❤

I am 31 and will soon be divorced. I've been married to my husband for 7 years, and 6/7 years have been HARD. He has suffered from addiction for over half of his life, and my son & I have greatly suffered from it as well. He's been in and out of addition, in and out of jail/prison, and recently has gone back to jail for drug possession again. And this was the last I could take, after everything we've been through. I have compassion for him, and still will be his friend, but I cannot be his wife anymore. This hurts so much - I invested so much of myself into him and our relationship all these years, tried to be the best wife, and I've lost myself. I know divorcing and moving on is the best for me and our son, even though it is very painful. I am looking forward to healing, and building a life that is good for me and my son. I am looking forward to peace and freedom. And I'm looking forward to one day having a real, healthy relationship with a strong, whole, healthy man who will love me and my son. Thanks for sharing your story. 💛

Addiction is something a person never overcomes. I divorced my exhusband because of these issues. I didn’t have any children with him so the situation was different. My advice to you is to have compassion for him from afar. You cannot be his friend; you need to just be his ex wife so you can move forward with your life. You couldn’t fix him when you were married, you won’t be able to fix him now.

I just wanted to share that i was in the same boat as you when i separated from my ex husband in 2020 thinking that he would change if he’s “out in our life” as his consequence. Guess what, years passed and he is still in denial of his addiction. Our divorce was just approved last year in December. Can’t describe the feeling at the time. It was freeing but also something inside me is grieving. I am 33 now with 2 kids I solely raise. There are days when it’s lonely. I sometimes would still get jealous of other families but it definitely gets better. ❤

Wow... Thank you for sharing you're story. I really needed this as I'm going through the same thing. Single mom at 38 with an almost 4 year old and walking away from a very toxic relationship. I would love to see more videos like this ❤

So happy for you! I found your channel years ago because I was reinventing my style. Then I started teaching a course for young ladies about work and how to dress for work. Guess who's videos I showed them? You stand as an inspiration not only for me but many young ladies who are now women in the professional field with a sense of great style. Thank you! I look forward to this next chapter. 🎉

Thank you so much for being sooo honest! I feel like so many people due to family or culture has to walk by there standards. Not their own. I am 38 and I do feel like at 35 you’re truly growing and in the 30’s is when most people should get married so I do have a lot of friends who had been divorced and are now with partners they know they want to grow old with. I personally went from being a hustler single mom for years and now that I’m married to my second husband I now want to be a stay at home mother. Just know things change in life all the time. Ladies learn to love and grow with and in every season in your life. Give yourself a good amount of grace and remember no one knows everything and the things you do know teach the next generation of women to help them. ❤❤❤

THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your story. I have a similar story and I don't feel so alone now!! It takes so much courage to choose your own path, Rather than the path society expects of you. I applaud all the single moms out there carving their own path. You are the strongest humans on the planet. Love to all 💞

Wow, this put so much into perspective. I met this guy when I was 22 and broke up by 25. Obviously we talked about marriage and I was bummed I hadn't hit that milestone. I also felt so dumber wasting 3 years of my life with someone who made me less happy every day but luckily at the time I was able to think well it could be worse it could be 4 or even 5 years. Looking back on it everything that has happened since the break up has been awesome, especially getting to know myself again 💕

Thank you for sharing! For those of us who have been in relatable experiences, it helps to hear and share with others. Social media can give the impression of perfect lives and cause a depression of comparison. Knowing that we are all living real lives and making it through helps, and inspires people in the pits of to know there is a light at the end of it.
