What would you recommend? The old neewer 176 or this one. What are the pros and cons on them? Another question, what about mics, headphones, camera for a person that wants to start RU-vid? I know it's not necessary to have them all, but i want them all to start with :)

Excellent questions. If you can afford the Neewer NL480 kit with two lights and two softboxes, I would definitely recommend going with that. The benefit of having two lights is that you have a lot more flexibility in how you want to light your scene. If you only have a single N176 light, it limits your options greatly, and if you don't have a softbox for it, the light will be quite harsh and unflattering. That said, the N176 is still a great light starting out. Combined with a light from around your house (or just a big window) it can make the scene look much better. That is how I made my first videos. So TLDR If budget allows it, go with the NL480 kit, if not, the N176 is still a great starter light. In regards to camera, mic and headphones (guess you mean for editing the video sound??) Unless you already have a dslr or mirrorless camera capable of 1080p30 video, then I would recommend starting out with just using your phone (granted you have a decent-ish phone). Modern smartphones have excellent cameras. For a mic I would recommend something like the Røde Videomicro or a lavelier like the Boya by-m1. It's generally more important to spend money on the audio, and not the video quality (you ofc also want good video quality, but audio is more important). For headphones I can recommend the Beyerdynamics DT770 or DT990, or the Audio Technica ath-m40x or ath-m50x. I will also post more videos going into these topics in the future, so keep an eye out for those ;) Also, remember that the hardest part about starting on youtube, is actually making the first video. So sometimes you just have to jump in head first, and get started :) Good luck, and feel free to ask any follow up questions ;)

@@SungaM_official Wow, that was a very informative respond, will look into this. But also want to see some topics on it, as you mentioned. You make excellent content. Cam from the neewer 176 video, and can't wait for more videos, especially on the setup stuff (mic, camera, headphones/speakers) Do you have a schedule for uploads, as I can see that it has been awhile since you uploaded, or do you just upload when you feel like it? Yeah, just want to have the setup first, before I get my head into it. Can always turn it into an office space if it doesn't turn out good :D And using a phone won't be an option for me as I have an old Nokia :) There are so many Logitech cams, so I'm not sure what to take on that part or if i should get a used cheap one Another off-topic question, for background music. Did you pay for it, just visited the artist. Aren't you afraid that he one day could claim you on it?

@@flamingcarrot4754 Happy to have been able to answer your question :) Currently I don't have an upload schedule. The long break was due to personal life stuff, but that has been taken care of now, and I'm back and intend to stay this time :) I hope to at least post weekly. It will take some time to work towards being that consistent, but hopefully before the end of the year haha :) What kind of videos do you want to make? If you want to make talking head videos (like mine is) I wouldn't recommend going with a Logitech webcam. The quality isn't particularly good. A cheap older highend phone would be better for that like the google pixel 3, or the Samsung Galaxy S8-10. Or if you're going with a dslr camera, you can probably find a used canon 200D (called SL2 in America) for quite cheap. That is what I use currently. Regarding the music, it's actually one of my close childhood friends who makes the music I use, and I have permission from him to use it. But you can easily find royalty free music all over RU-vid. So, there should be plenty to choose from. That's what I did for my old videos :)

@@SungaM_official Well, I hope you stay around this time! I'm glad to hear that you're doing great and take your time, RU-vid isn't going anywhere :D I'm not sure yet, I'm still planning out the details on what I want to do and besides that I need a that gear for office work anyway :) so might look at used stuff for the camera and such. Must be nice to have someone produce music for you, one of my friends used music that was "free" but ended getting a claim on it a year after or so. That's I asked if you're not afraid of getting a claim :D
