It is genuinely impressive that Cartoon Network made a comeback with its scheduling variety, as opposed to Nickelodeon and its sister channels which sadly won’t do the same anytime soon ☹️
And modern MCU. People gave the post-Endgame era way too much flak, but if there's anything that can make the post-Endgame MCU era look like the Infinity Saga era of the MCU, it's none other than Nickelodeon's Scheduling, especially NickToons. If their schedules in their current state can't convince us to apologize to modern Marvel, then I don't know what will.
If Nick Shut down this is what would happen: Many of there viewers would resort to watching Disney or CN All upcoming Nick show’s would prob be booted to Netflix or paramount + Nick Would Be Removed From All Cable
*If* it does happen it’ll be jarring to see SpongeBob air on either Cartoon Network or Disney. But Paramount and Nickelodeon are in horrible shape right now and it’s only a matter of time when the purge begins.
It's really manipulative of them to hold channels hostage and force people to subscribe to Paramount Plus even though the the app is unstable and barely useable.
I just realized that Paramount is only purging alot of their post-2010 Nicktoons because of how they didn't do as well as their older stuff. Unless it's TMNT or Loud House. It's weird because at least WBD only got rid of like six post-2013 Cartoon Network shows (not counting WBA ones) from Max. Either way, I'm glad I've moved on to indie and overseas animation. The only American mainstream cartoons I matter the most these days are Looney Tunes, Pink Panther and Chowder.
Pretty much all companies are stingy about their content being on RU-vid, but Paramount/Viacom seems to be particularily stingy, because whenever someone uploads a clip, episode, song or compilation of any of their shows on RU-vid, they either claim it or strike it and take it down.
I honestly feel the quiet on set documentary was the true killer for Nickelodeon. Also people on RU-vid happen to call dan Schneider "DS" now as to avoid demonization.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews Out of the few shows I actually watched as a kid, most of the shows were created by Dan Schneider. I love Henry Danger (do not know why), but things started coming around about him while the show was still running.
I really think the Nickelodeon cable channel could shut down within the decade. It will play out exactly how it did with Sega when the Dreamcast flopped and they instead opted to license their games to other consoles.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews no it will not shut down it’s perfectly fine the documentary is just talking about former child stars and how they were abused and harassed back then
Paramount was doing sub-par for the longest time but made up for it with the amount of content offered on streaming and they had nearly every Nickelodeon series available, but are now taking the Warner Bros Discovery route
Quite on sunset is why Nickelodeon is a worse channel than Cartoon Network because at least with how pointless Cn real was they didn’t treat there short lived child stars like garbage and get them into bad situations while growing up, but Disney isn’t any better with there child stars either
This is really heartbreaking. I really don’t want this to be the end of Nickelodeon and Paramount as a whole. The garbage that happened behind the scenes of the Nickcoms shouldn’t have to reflect the entire channel as a whole since we had other great things from it. Plus, Paramount Pictures can still sometimes make quality movies.
I like they new Nickelodeon branding, but I miss the days where Nicktoons and Teennick had their own unique style of bumpers and idents separate from the main channel, and more variety in the schedule. I would honestly prefer getting the old mid-to late 2010s Nick networks branding back, if it meant getting more schedule variety.
So sad to see Paramount Global going downhill and I feel so bad for Nickelodeon now since they just really fell off in the last 10 years and now has become a complete pale shell of it’s former glory, now relying on SpongeBob stuff and Loud House for money. Also, the impact of the Quiet on Set documentary and several recent Nick shows being taken off Paramount+ recently really harmed and hurt Nick’s reputation completely. At least this is why I stick to Classic Nickelodeon stuff than the modern ones(the 90’s-2000’s era was golden, the 2010’s era was mixed bag,and now 2020’s Nickelodeon is just terrible) and I feel the studio,Paramount Pictures and the CBS Network are the only parts of Paramount Global that have way more heart to them than the other parts of Paramount Global(such as Nickelodeon)now, since CBS is still doing well as a network with recent hit shows like Young Sheldon and Survivor and Paramount Pictures is still going strong with recent hit movies, even having a great winning streak of box-office blockbuster hits back in 2022 thanks to Sonic The Hedgehog 2,The Lost City,Smile,Top Gun:Maverick, and Scream(2022) and will have a even better and competitive year this year with Sonic 3,IF,A Quiet Place:Day One,Transformers One,and Smile 2.
Paramount even rebranded Showtime to *Paramount+ With* Showtime a week after this year started. It is really is so explicitly embrassing to beseige people to watch a streaming service, only for them to learn that they can only endure so much of the vexing outcomes to it, especially when we know that Paramount can slowly manage to embarrass theirselves in front of David Zaslav, and that Quiet on Set is airing on a channel that HIS company owns, meaning that WBD senses the folly.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews paramount pictures are getting crushed by their rival studios! They really fell off around the pandemic! I know Top Gun and Mission Impossible brought in billions for them, but that was because it was famous reused IP, and the production was wholly done by their partner Skydance Entertainment (btw, currently Paramount and Skydance are working to merge)
Paramount is doing so awful in their business right now, that they're literally making the post-Endgame era of the MCU look like Avengers: Infinity War by comparison. Because at least they're somewhat more fun and breathtaking to watch, putting their flaws aside, than the scheduling of almost all Paramount channels and the recent mistreatment of Paramount's own streaming service. Like seeing all the bad things Paramount has done recently are making me feel like we should regret shitting on Disney and Marvel very soon. Like VERY, VERY SOON. Especially all content that was made after Avengers: Endgame came out. And also since we already have X-Men '97 which is thankfully getting good reviews from Marvel fans.
Both of you are absolutely right. Say what you want about Disney but at least they're still trying new things & Trying to keep people investing meanwhile, Paramount & nickelodeon is contempt with just doing the same thing over and over again hoping people will stay
I’ve checked Paramount+ Canada, and the shows that were on that purge list are still on. Again, I live in Canada so we have YTV instead of Nick. You should compare Nick’s schedule to YTV’s schedule to see the difference.
Likely they didn't purge because they don't want Corus(who they partner with for PlutoTV) suing for breach of contract. Still, it's really bad when even the Canadian Paramount+ is starting to look better than the US one.
Pretty much. To be fair, they going to start declining anyway the moment digital TV, RU-vid, and channels like VEVO and Stingray cane online. But the moment they focused on reality shows and Rob Dyrdek, they really shot themselves in the foot. Now I never had cable but some of my friends did and I would go over to watch Celebrity Deathmatch, Jackass, Beavis and Butthead, and Daria. At least I could make the argument that those shows were somewhat music adjacent.
I use to Always look up to nickelodeon when I was younger and I always say "I know you will make future generations happy when the years come by" and Then I see this.... Very heartbroken.
2:26 And MTV Classic spams the same week scheduling. Like "I Want My 80s" spams the same 30 music videos. If you want more 80s music, stay up all night until morning for MTV Classic Videos. BET Soul and BET Jams manages the 80s music videos better.
If Paramount's going to shut down Nickelodeon or other networks, perhaps they could bring back Saturday morning cartoons on CBS (or The CW provided Nexstar agrees) as well as maybe putting their adult shows on syndication or Fox and also, I guess people were right when they said the V of Doom lives on via Paramount's sketchy business practices!
Why the hell does Nicktoons air 24/7 SpongeBob when the main channel does that most times anyway(except during nick@nite and the 4 hours of preschool programming they have for some reason). Teenick only airs The Loud House and Henry Danger. Who is in charge of this programming and scheduling?!?
Viacunt- oh I meant Viacom. They have no idea what the hell they are even doing. I'm actually convinced they are purposefully making shitty schedules so people feel inclined to get Paramount Plus.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviewsThey actually air 6 hours of preschool programming a day, and most days they spam SpongeBob, even allowing it to slip into nick@nite! Nickelodeon also airs the same movies over and over and over all day!!! Teennick recently started airing weekend iCarly marathons, but mostly spams Henry Danger during the week. I understand why some older shows aren’t airing on the main channel, because average viewers are more likely to tune into SpongeBob(not that the average viewer would recognize Invader Zim or Harvey Beaks, anyway)because it’s the most marketable show, but why not air them on Nicktoons, which less people are already not watching anyway? Not to mention, them taking off some shows off of Paramount+ that aren’t available anywhere else. And they wonder why piracy rates have skyrocketed in recent years.
I don’t really watch cable TV anymore, but sometimes I pay a little visit to these channels to see how they’re doing, and well… I can’t help but laugh when I see there abysmal schedules 😂 How can you call yourself a channel when all you do is spam one program 24/7??? Everything you said is on point, but as of this moment, I think TeenNick is spamming The Loud House and The REALLY Loud House with the occasional movie thrown in there to spice things up a bit lol 😂 Gone are the days when TeenNick was actually a channel that played teen sitcoms and dramas… We all know VH1 is a shell of its former self, and MTV proper might as well be renamed RTV, but I actually do like there sister channel MTV classic. The Channel has a pretty solid schedule (though, it does tend to show certain music videos more than others), and I actually appreciate how MTV classic shows variety in genre unlike MTV Live… I feel like if MTV classic was a lower tier channel, it would be way more popular
I really wonder what the Skydance deal will end up doing regarding this situation. Feels like alot could end up gonna happening. While it is a decently sized company, it's not one of those companies that makes big headlines often, not from what I've seen. So I don't know what to make of this.
I've had bad feelings about nickelodeon, if they do shut down, i want every piece of Rocko's modern life to be saved, that is my favorite show on nickelodeon and i don't want to lose it :(
I’m on the fence on the documentary since it felt kinda sensationalized at some points. Not to mention the fifth episode was unnecessary. I didn’t even watch it and just watched the Ms Mojo video on episode 5. For that reason and also because it was made for Investigation Discovery and all I thought about was that Warner Bros, pre and post Discovery, should suffer the consequences of their own decisions. And Disney Channel needs their own installment as well. Nick, Disney and Cartoon Network have been sabotaging practically every show that isn’t a spin-off, sequel series or reboot for like the past 5 years now. They only have themselves to blame.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews it may be better than the US by a bit but it still isn't good. the oldest show aired is some Canadian preschool show from the mid 2000s and while they did air legacy shows at one point, they're all gone now because of Paramount+
Brian Robbins is the head of paramount pictures and Nickelodeon. He is an old friend and Partner of Dan Schneider. He is as much a bubble dweller as anyone. Paramount and Nickelodeon mtv and vh1 and all are going under. They will never be reformed
Weird thought about Paramount being bought out. What if, Since Sega is having the knuckles show on P+ and upcoming Sonic Movie 3, "If" Sega bought Paramount, wonder how that'd work
When you showed all of the Paramount networks, why were WDRB and WBKI there? Also, I was also collectively pissed when Paramount blue-balled us and said that Nick on CBS would return!!
@@ArtieRaccoonReviewsAnd... that show has been removed from the regular Nick lineup starting this week. Reruns are now Nicktoons-exclusive, unsurprisingly...
What’s Paramount, and Nickelodeon can’t go out of business besides if they go out of business I have to watch something else in another channel besides, how many TV channel companies are going out of business and it feels like that every TV channel company is going out of business and besides if every TV channel company goes out of business, that means no more TV shows
Comedy central is awsome since they give so many great shows to watch but MTV isn't good at all in fact all they is do is spam teen mom and its so damn annoying like I wish I was around when MTV was atcully good
It's sad that Paramount did the same purge with many of its series just like Max did. I wonder what's next? Disney+ removing a bunch of FOX shows and other series? Despite, having a new logo as well
2:01 in South Africa (where i am), the schedules for BET, MTV, Comedy Central, Nick, and its sister channels are way different than what you'd find in the US scheduling. For instance, on Nick SA, Spongebob would only be shown at 2am, 6am, 9am, 2pm, and 8pm, either for one or two episodes. After that, it's just one, two, or three episodes of random shows after another (both live-action and Nicktoon). And on MTV, you'd only find 2-3 episodes of Ridiculousness in the morning, afternoon, and nighttime, followed by other MTV originals, including local ones. It also broadcasts music from midnight until 6 am. On Comedy Central, South Park only shows at night, usually around 10pm.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews Nowadays, they air shows from like a decade ago like The Thundermans and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn overnight, and other times, they would air shows involving Dan Schneider.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews South Park made fun of Disney alot, but what about Paramount and Warner Brothers? I wanna see Bugs Bunny as a stingy CEO, and SpongeBob SquarePants as a grabby penny-pinching CEO.
3:42 i'd rather had david ellison and skydance to have paramount since skydance and paramount have worked on some movies like topgun and mission impossible and that ellison knows the movie buisness
I Love Seinfeld On Comedy Central But It's Too Much It Was Worse On nick@niTe Back In 2022 Yes Seinfeld Was Formerly On nick@niTe Back In 2022 Then They Replaced It With More Mom Reruns And Mike & Molly Is Getting Removed From nick@niTe One Day Honestly They Need To Spam More George Lopez, King Of Queens & Everybody Loves Raymond On Weekdays On Weekends They Can Spam Seinfeld, Friends & Will & Grace I've Wanted Will & Grace To Be On nick@niTe For Years Because It Has That Same Friends Esque Setting They Can Probably Have 2 Big Bang Theory Episode Reruns After Everybody Loves Raymond So There Wouldn't Be Any Problems
And I Thought TV Land Was Spaming Everybody Loves Raymond Everynight It's True Even Today But I Found Out The Friends Reruns On nick@niTe Made Be Say Fuck It. Let nick@niTe & TV Land Have The Same Shows
