@@PalmwhatWhat made you think to share that to someone who clearly loves the podcast? Does it make you in some way feel better about being frustrated by your opinion. Show respect to the Triple OG or be cursed with 7 years of bad luck..
@@ZacMcglinn i just want people to wake up when you see it you cant stop and triple og is an American gangsta term this bloke played footy his whole life far from gangsta he calls people Dogg of the week but calls people dogs for leaking stuff to the press his very confused
Don’t know if anyone else felt the same but far out I think from a pair of halves in the first half, best kicking game I’ve ever seen. Every kick from Moses/Luai came with a result
@@selteneyohannes6469 u sure abt that? Last when Blues let Yeo start and try and ball play it took out our halves and QLD defence just slid every time. This year w Murray in game 2 we just played direct and ran QLD fowards off the park.
The mentality of scoring points isn't there when you are 34 points ahead at half time. Although even in the second half, nsw were punching through the line, absolutely thrashing them in the contact. And it was easy to see the ref was trying to even up the penalty count. Qld were bullied in the contact all night @jbb8600
There’s always gonna be a little bit more motivation when you’ve lost the game before, that’s common sense. Now queenland will want it more at Suncorp after being embarrassed last night.
@@1362pc and yeh ur 100% right. They needed the decider for the greater good of the game. No way they would let it go to a dead rubber again, 2 penalties and 2 six agains in the first 20 gave the blues that leg up, we were then gassed and couldn’t recover, but the blues played well.
I support Queensland but it was honestly incredible to see the blues spark up like that. Moses was the key that unlocked the synergy for the whole team, him and Luai were just telepathic out there and with the presence of Latrell and the way all the other boys showed up, it was just incredible to watch, can’t even be mad. Can’t wait for the decider I think we’re (Queensland) in for some trouble if the boys don’t find some mana, Walshy tried but he looked shook after getting man handled by Latrell. What a game 😮💨
@@1362pc The boys have to bring the heat from kick off or they’re gonna get steam rolled again imo, we just looked physically too small as well in that game, I wonder if Fifita will be brought in and honestly I think we need Cobbo back because in my eyes he can match Latrells physicality etc, he’s a big boy too, Idk just thinking out loud, Billy will be at the drawing board for sure, can’t wait.
From the first 5 minutes it was easy to see the presence of latrell had a huge impact on queenslands right edge. Exactly as the triple OG stated many times. It is no different from regional grass roots competitions, if you have ever played in any of those competitions, you learn who is a threat to your postion, who they play for and when you play them. You know who is dangerous and who will make you look silly. Latrell is that teenager in the regional comp you play against that everybody knows, everybody knows he will be great and he schools you everytime you play lol. He just does it to people who are in the top level. He is a different kind of player. But the mentailty of the people lining up against him is no different to when you lined up against the guns when you are younger. How anyone could say latrell isnt that player, hasnt played a game of rugby league. Simple examples would be what he did to Will Chambers when Latrell first stepped on the origin stage. Latrell has been the best centre in every origin game he has ever played. Val holmes is a world class player, he is one of the best players consistently in the nrl every year. Latrell hasnt played centre in years, hasnt played origin in years. He steps in with two games under his belt and wipes the floor with Val Holmes, Reece Walsh, DCE, and bent the queensland pack everytime he ran into it. Latrell is a generational player, and we are all lucky to have him in our game, the fact people talk about him draws people to the nrl. Thats why people watch it. Because of greatness some players possess, and latrell has it in spades. Love him.
I expect to see every player that pats an opposition players head when they force a error to be sent for 10 in every NRL match since it happened in an origin
I’m sorry that as a Queenslander you are lumped in with the horse fans. All our animosity towards Queensland is against the broncos fans. They are handed everything on a silver spoon and yet still carry on and are the kings of hypocrisy and being condescending. We got lucky with very biased reffing at the start of the game. It put us in the position to win the game and then we had a lot of players pulling off miracles to take advantage of it. It’s great to enjoy the win and I’m savouring it because Queensland are still favourites going into Suncorp and having more than 7% possession will make it more like the 2nd half. It will be a cracker of a game. What a shame it’s going to be over in three weeks and we have to wait another year for it.
Angus chriton was amazing latrell was tough and focused mitchell and jerome just class And everyone eles just worked hard What a nsw win what a nsw team.. What about spencer lenui & yeo wowsers
Blues about to make origin history. No doubt about it, it won't be easy, but it has happened in history where we've beaten the toads at home! It's bloody overdue... Blues all the way 110%
Hey boys, appreciate you getting my questions on the last 2 episodes. Did you guys notice some of the looks in the eyes of Reese Walsh after Collisions , i know Mas had said he couldn't be at 100% after only a couple of weeks from such a bad knockout but he looked dazed at points, especially after dyl Edwards try after he came across in cover defence and then stood up he looked stunned
In the UFC, a knockout like he had, which on the scale of knockouts is severe (he went straight into the 'fencing' position, arms up), both the UFC and the fighters own coach wouldn't let him fight again for at least six months.
17:54 Martin’s been doing it at the panthers all day every day, he’s got that instinct in him to be able to read the line perfectly, especially when the opposition is fatigued
I love Trell. I can't believe there are NSW fans out there that don't want him picked based on his week to week form. It's hard to fathom that there are people out there that watch NRL every week and some how think it's the same game as origin. One of the best ever origin players barely even played NRL and killed origin every time.
The blues defense and discipline are keys to winning the series..their defense line speed and discipline was on point in the 1st half 20 minutes that set them up to winning the game
Love it ima queenslander but it was scary the first 20 nsw did well to close the game early we just kept falling off our tackles couldn't do our one on one tackles like Willie perspective on the game Dylan played bloody good
Kicked off my first Origin with you guys & GI at the Olympic Hotel Tuesday night, was my first time going to something like that and you guys made that Origin experience all the more special. If you’re on the fence about going to a Levels event go and get amongst it, I for one will be traveling to wherever your next one is. Appreciate the time you guys give to fans, it’s what makes this great game Levels above the rest. Stoked we got a decider, fire us up before Game 3 Mase!! NSW 13+
Nsw needs to work on that right side defence, in the first half Queensland opened them up twice down there, and in the second half scored a number of tries down that way
If you look back at Zac Lomax's High take try in the corner, he jumps early and pushes his lower leg into the defender's waistline to prevent him gaining height, GENIUS
I don’t care what anyone says nsw we are the battlers everytime we play in Melbourne it’s pretty much a home game for nsw. The reception last night shows that. 90% qld supporters in that stadium last night but against the odds every year we turn up 👕💙🩵
Mason, dude your the shizit my Bro. You Brothers are the best nrl podcast. Maybe add replays of what your chatting too. Keep up the amazing work. Respectful with alot of real life banter.
We played the perfect half, no one is stopping that! The only time the momentum swung was when Liam Martin got binned. Went from a knock on and our ball to penalty against. Game 3 is another beast so hopefully we’re up for it again! We played tough with lots of niggle so expecting fireworks game 3, going to be hostile.
Such a hard watch tonight cause im a fucking sore loser but bang on from you both. I hate how good mitch looks. Happy for him still somehow lol. I remember lining up both sides on paper in 2022 and thinking we're fucked, NSW bout to go on a proper run. It unfolded as it did. But that same feeling hit me watching the blues last night. Im concerned 😂. Love ya work fellas 👊
Damn, that wouldve been freaking awesome to see G.I.. Willie, unexpectedly your reaction to the blues is like Gordys reaction hahahaha, i like how it works and i get, its not over yet.
@@Hardcastle83 I mean it’s clear that they wanted a Decider otherwise he would of sin binned Liam Martin for his Lifting Tackle and Latrell for his High Shot in the second half
@@fatniss__6931 I did. I've sincerely never watched a game with Klein reffing where he didn't piss me off. He's the king of the petty and unexplained "6 again", and that's just for starters.
@@davidduffin1580 sorry to pop your bubble but yous gotta win the series to start a Dynasty 😂😂😂 NSW were Lucky not to have any sin binned earlier with all the High shots could of lost the game if Liam Martin was Sin binned earlier in the First Half and Mitchell in the Second
Love the instant origin recap guys amazing to listen to! Would like to hear your thoughts on Bennetts comments during the week? Seemed to be bring up a lot of issues you guys have been speaking about’! Maybe Wayne has been listening to the podcast to haha.
Good work getting the poddy in sooo quick❤ Also agree, episode with mitch pearce was great. He is made for podcasts. He speaks so well and is so nice and authentic.
Spencer Leniu is as dangerous as the amount of ball he gets. Nearly every run is code red. In the first game he was one of the best players on either side. He didn't get much ball in game two, but broke the line on one of his first hit-ups. And I think the get put on right in the last minute, cos he's the guy if you have one set left that can break the line. It felt like him, Latrell Mitchell, and Stephen Crichton were mean, but you'd want them to get even more ball.
Felt like QLD came to play footy, which they were able to do in the first game. NSW came to play origin. QUESTION: If you could eliminate one of the opposition players from selection going into game 3, who would it be?
What's up boys. Love the poddy. Listen to the review/preview at work every week. Can we all please acknowledge that the real threat to a NSW series win is not Reece Walsh but the Hammer. He is racking up Darius Boyd try scoring numbers and does not have GI feeding him from the inside. Walsh goes off injured, QLD still win. Hammer goes off injured, NSW win. (He comes back on the field and QLD win the 2nd half 18-4.) Side note. I know it's Origin and there is a little more leniency in certain areas but how are QLD able to hold players down, or hold on, when NSW attackers are finding their front or standing in tackles? It's absurd how long Carrigan and co can just cuddle blokes and not cop a ruck infringement. The one time it did happen, it was initially ruled an Edwards drop ball, before the challenge and over rule. Thank fuck they had the presence of mind to challenge that farcical interpretation
Agree with the Hammer, he is miles better at fullback, he is tall for the kicks, physically stronger in defence, probably faster, walsh is way overrated, yes some exciting attacks, but overall not up to it, media beat him up too much, prob the only mistake Billy has made for mine selection wise.
I wouldn't necessarily replace Walsh at fullback with Hamiso. I think Walsh has to be there (with Ponga being unavailable) for his acceleration alone. But yeah Hammer is way more reliable in terms of effectiveness in attack and defence making him the overall more dangerous opponent@freedomofchoicelover3734
How do use feel about luai I feel hes stop start style of play doesn’t suit the aggressiveness of Latrell Angus and to’o as the right sweep looked so clean and everyone had time and had the defence thinking . Love the poddy keep it up boys
Great podcast! This is what we want to hear from ex footy players! Talking about footy! Not like those ex nrl flogs Merrin and that other guy talking about mental health and how women suck. NSW forwards stood up tonight and lead the way! Allowed the backs to do their thing.
Kings of the sports podcast game fr!! not just NRL but all sports poddys EASILY and it’s not even close. You guys are in a different realm. NBS no glazing just straight up fax u guys are the leading sports pod in Aus ‼️
Question for the boys, do you think it’d be better for origin 3 games be at a neutral venue? Reckon it’s unfair advantage having the biggest game at Suncorp (although acknowledge Blues don’t have a stadium with the equivalent atmosphere/intensity).
Thanks for putting this out so quickly for us fans boys. Question re QLD playing Hammer in that 2nd half? As a QLD fan you are brought up to believe miracles are possible - but even the most optimistic of fans knew that game was gone at half time. I couldn't see any upside to Hammer coming back on. It felt short sighted given the most important game is coming up in 3 weeks. Was it the right call? Also do Origin teams owe any duty of care to the player and the clubs that allow them to play origin - because Redcliffe must have been filthy he went back on?
hey lads love the pod watch every ep. what is your thoughts on a all time nswrl/nrl top 50, similar to nba 75 anniversary but just not anniversary and top 50. who do you guys think would be involved in the selection process and who would be in your guys lists? chur
Was listening to an old podcast with the Tonga vs Samoa series, if that does occur what would happen to the samoan and tongas that play state of origin, do they pick state or country? Love the pod
Great win for nsw but I have seen this movie before means nothing unless we turn up for game 3. QLD are going to come out a lot stronger and more with more intensity, crowd and history behind them but NSW are good enough to break history just have to play to our best COME ON BLUES
Hey fellas big fan of the podcast and love the 1am podcast post game 2 Despite losing game 1 with 12 men, there were good signs being down 10 with 20 mins left we just struggled to ice our opportunities with QLD one man advantage I agree with Mase that the series would've been over had their been 13 men both sides full game Haven't been this confident as a NSW supporter since Trell & Turbo combined soooo fkn keen for GAME 3 I do wanna get your thoughts on a QLD backline change that could spice up the matchup of Cobbo with Holmes on the wing with his versatility vs Latrell and Too on the same side considering QLD are unable to utilise Coates height against Too and already having Nanai as a threat under the high ball??
Yeh latrel just anchors that right edge for qld they know the only way to contain him is get an extra number across and tighten up the space around him but that just opens space around edge of ruck and the result is nsw forwards can dominate. if qld dont do that nsw just give latrel early ball and he bathes them up anyway.
Surely critta is a underdog of all dogs, his effort was outstanding defensively and just the little 1%ers that go unnoticed, Definitely buy of the year,
Love the show boys don't sleep on Stephen Crichton he can produce a fend a one arm carry and set up his wingers too. As shown in Lomax 1st try Critta took out 3 of them. Coates was outside Holmes
If you plan on touching on origin more can you both give klein’s refereeing performance a grade? I understand it can’t be reffed like it was in years gone by but fuck it feels like he just doesn’t have a feel for the game? Sin bins for rubbing someone on the head is weak asf in nrl let alone an origin match, do either of you give him game 3 so all matches are officiated the same in theory or give someone else a go?
