Reminds me of the time when I was diagnosed with cancer..just a year ago at age 22. You know what Wil? We humans are stronger than we think we are. God created and molded us in such a way where we can handle things far beyond our limits..in a way that we don’t think we are capable to handle but can. So yes, I’m saying that I fully trust in you that you’ll get through this. There are many people rooting and fighting with you including myself. You’ve got this Wil! Cancer is nothing. One tip from a cancer survivor is there is nothing, absolutely nothing stronger than one’s faith in his/herself. It was a difficult task for me, but without it, I wouldn’t have become the person I am today. Full of confidence, encouragement, enthusiasm, love, and much more. It was definitely a hard time, but definitely a time worth spending, especially with laughter. It was a lesson worth more than gold and these types of lessons cannot be received by anyone. Wil- Ask for a needle biopsy of whatever they see in your lung. As a cancer survivor, I'm a firm believer in advocating for yourself. Put the pressure on the doctors to give you answers and to give them to you quickly. Knowing as much as you can about the enemy (aka cancer) makes you a better fighter in the battle. I know the fear that you are feeling. You are not defined by cancer, it is just a part of your life. You are so much more. It's ok to feel whatever you are feeling whenever you feel it. Don't feel like you have to act or behave a certain way. You are human. Feelings of hurt, fear, anger, etc are expected and normal. Cancer sucks! Plain and simple. You are loved and it's times like these that we learn just how tough we can be, but you will be even stronger when you lean on those that love you. May you draw strength from family and friends. I'm sending you positive thoughts and vibes and sending up prayers for you. I have a "weeble wobble" philosophy about life since I was diagnosed with cancer 14 years ago. (Look them up.). We weeble and wobble when things like cancer come along and knock us down, but we stand back up again because we are strong. We are fighters. Our strength comes from different sources such as family, friends, and God. So whatever they see in your lung is just something that may cause you to weeble or wobble, but you Wil stand up and move on. It very well may be something very simple that amounts to nothing. Positive thinking all the way. You got this!

Hi Wil. I mentioned here before that my 62 yr old husband was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer 2 yrs ago, had a sigmoidectomy, then chemo for 9 mos. He went back to work a month after he finished his chemo cycle. After chemo he had a PET Scan and they found a “growth” in his upper right lung. He also saw a pulmonologist and was told to just wait because all his blood test came back “normal” for a patient who just had chemo for 9 mos. By the grace of God his been doing ok. The “growth” in his right lung was gone. He just had his CT Scan last February of this year. I can’t say don’t worry too much because I never been in your nor my husband’s situation but hang in there Wil if a 62 yr old guy can beat cancer you can too!!
This vlog makes me want to cry, I hope you realize how incredibly strong you are for as transparent you're being through all this. Just take in all the love and prayers wil, it's ok to be scared. My family sends our love and support. I would love to share my tumor story but another time...
Stay positive, I survived twice, stage 4 when it came back...You can do it, keep eating right, working out...I have a tumor right now but it's non cancerous, so I don't worry about it anymore...I love your attitude and just keep that up...You know that laughter have been known to heal the body...I know it's scary and it's human nature to be afraid of the unknown, but the best advice I ever got was from my Doctor when I received the news....He told me "What ever my faith was, to stand on it without any doubt, and also your body will do whatever the brain tells it to do"....I've been cancer free for 5years now...I will continue to pray for your speedy healing...All is well, God bless you Will!...😊😊😊❤

Wil hang in there!! The good news is your reacting well to the chemo. About what they found in your lungs, their is a big chance, that it will not be as bad as you think. Your Young, positive and still have a great level of energy. Your fighting chance are way better then most people, because of your high level of energy and your natural way of being positive. Good thoughts, make a big difference. Believe me, i know cancer, it as been part of my family. Few months ago, my mother won her battle. She is now planning to go to Bali. Your doing good, i know its hard..... But you need to focus on what is positive in your life right now. These challenge's, build great men's.... And greatness, is in your nature!! Great news that the tumour has shrunk... now action time for you: focus on getting your body/mind stronger for your cells to beef up again and plenty of rest, fresh air (balik alindog on that bike and hike with mudra for tough legs), minimise infections now it’s fall/winter time and eat like a bulldog! More time to plan fun things this party season and more energy while on your chemo break so that’s a good thing. Stay strong. I know you feel out of wack and the uncertainties shake you a bit, but live without fear as you have always vlogged about. My sis who had stage 4 cancer was responding to chemo when nodules were discovered in her lungs. Everything went well without any surgery just meds, and this is her 4th year in remission.

Hey Wil, my mom is a stage IV colon cancer patient. She is now dealing with her 15th chemotherapy, and she is doing well just like you! She does exercise in a park with many other cancer patients. I see so many 10+ years cancer survivors even if their doctors said they only have 1 year when they're diagnosed. I admire people like you and my mom who has a big heart full of braveness and love. Besides I totally understand that sometimes people keep asking how's treatment going on makes you stressed out. We often have same feeling as cancer family. Just share things you like to share, care people who truly care and love you, ignore things that bother you. I believe good news is on the way! Wish you many many more years of health!!

Yo Will, I don't know if you read any of my previous comments but basically, I don't have cancer but because of my brain anurisyms I'm constantly going to the doctors for tests, physical rehab and what not and every time I go its terrifying because I don't know if the news they give me is gonna be good or bad. This Christmas will make it 5 yrs. since I had the anurisym and I still can't walk w/out a tongkod, not able to work any more, or drive. So what I'm saying is that you're in a good place despite all the bumps in the road you encounter. What's awesome is that you have loving family and friends that have your back & will be there every step of the way. One day at a time paray.. . . eventually, it'll only get better. Deuces!
And so it goes... the coffee is finished, but the day rolls on. The first image in the video sets the stage for thought. We see you through a second lens. One that is cracked, but still intact. This got me thinking about how you described the lens. It was new... not even a day old, when you dropped it. You suddenly mentioned that the lens would have been destroyed without a protective cover. Now, we could look at the lens as permanently ruined and that no good could come from the crack. I choose to take a different perspective today. Cracks, scars, blemishes, are always seen as imperfections and therefore of lesser value. That crack in the lens, though always present, could create a whole different viewpoint and even make an effect that would never have been even contemplated without that obvious imperfection. You may see things in a whole new way just through a drop and a crack. And the other beauty of that short piece about the lens was "the protective cover." Your protective cover moves with you from treatment to treatment, hangs with you in a warm living room, and eats meatless sausage with you. Yes, you fell on the floor and it hurts and there is fear, but there's merely a crack in your lens right now. Pudra, Mudra, Haley, Alodia, Lil' Crik, Johnny "four leaf" and your roommate Mike are that protective cover. Slip it over that cracked lens and keep filming... Fear... man... I know it... I've walked through different forms of it. It's much like a shadow that is glued to you from initial waking moments to when we drift away in to calmer seas of sleep. I am only aware and shaken when I'm reminded of my shadow and I fearfully turn my head back and see it, stretching from my feet and splashing across the floor. The funny thing is that despite that terrible fear is dark and it never leaves me, I can turn my head forward, move my feet and move toward the joy that awaits me in the moment. Shadows, though ugly and frightening, are merely shadows. It's okay that even in the brightest of days, filled with love, joy, and purpose, the shadow remains. We always have fear. It's part of who we are, but when we put on that "protective covering" the shadow isn't quite so bad. So, snap on your "protective lens cap", step into the sun, tell your shadow to "piss off" for the time being and Keep on keepin' on...

I am a dakilang ‘couch potato’ im not a healthy/active person, but Wil made an immense impact and instantly made me want to change my life(style). Hi WIl. I am just so blessed to have found out about you and your channel. I am just a teenager, but both my mom and dad have struggled with similar experiences. My dad actually was found to have matter in his lungs, and the doctor believed that cancer was one of the options. Thank God, it turned out to be a disease called Sarcoidosis. This is a disease where inflammatory cells collect in one's body and it is pretty much where one's immune system fights against itself. But it was better than cancer, and he is doing A LOT BETTER NOW. Honestly, there is so much that could be your grey matter. Even though cancer is one of the options, not being cancer is also another option. My mother also dealt with cell growth in her breast. We were afraid that it was cancer, but we later found out that it was a fibroid and it was easily removed through surgery. Cancer is something that runs in my family, and I am afraid that I will genetically receive it. However, I have faith in God, a higher power. I am Christian and there is just something so powerful in believing that what is happening to you right now has been planned and it is for a reason. I don't know if you are a Christian yourself, but I highly encourage you to give God a chance. Because there have been SO MANY CASES where many patients give their lives to Jesus, and they become healed of their diseases because God healed them. God is real. I can never deny that. 2 Corinthians 4:16-19 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Psalm 107:20 20 He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Isaiah 40:31 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Romans 8:24-25 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. I am praying for you daily and I know God is doing this for a reason. Trust in God with all of your heart, and you will see the glory of God. I promise you, you will. In Christianity, the Lord encourages us to test everything. So try out this faith and see where it takes you. God bless you!

Wil, remember that you are not alone and you have thousands of supporters. Sadly people of all ages can get cancer, not just adults....I’m 13 this year but I was diagnosed with cancer a year ago at the Norfolk/Portsmouth CHKD in Virginia. I also went through cycles of chemotherapy, 6 to be exact. Unlike you, all of my hair fell off. For each cycle, I had to stay in the hospital for 3-5 days. The side effects would hit me hard for several days. Food in the hospital was terrible, lol. After I was done with all 6 cycles, I had to do about 2 months of proton radiation therapy. Currently I am about 6 months cancer-free :) In fact, even though I couldn’t go to school for 7th grade last year, I’m still taking advanced English and math classes in 8th grade this year (Geometry and Adv. English 8) with an average of 95%+ in all 8 of my classes (Geometry, adv. English, Civics/Economics, Physical science, PE, Band, Criminal Justice, and French 1). For 7th grade, one of my teachers would come to my house after school for about 2 hours to teach me the main curriculum, so I didn’t fall behind. Just be careful when you’re outside and exercising cuz your immune system is weakened and you should stay clean. I want you to know that whatever happens, always keep your face towards the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you. Time doesn’t stop going forward, so we can’t stop. If we fall, we get up and keep going!
I just found you on RU-vid and I’ve never even considered subscribing to a channel until seeing your story (I’m a mother of two young adults just like yourself). I know you don’t want to hear this but I cried for you. You are such an inspiration with a magnetic personality. I will be praying for you and following your progress. I have to say I have fallen in love with your family and no matter what’s going on you brighten my day and make me smile. I think all cancer warriors have their ups and downs along their journey. Some more than others, but staying positive and visualization of your body attacking and eradicating the cancer cells. While your body is healing and growing stronger daily. We may not know all of the ins and outs of everything that going on because it is not in our “normal “ wheel house, but that is why there are so many medical centers that they focus is on helping the patients and their families to get through it and to provide any help they can. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Cancer treatments aren’t cheap and can go on for many years even after you are declared cancer free. 6 years out I still have tests done every 6 months and yearly in addition to monthly blood work to make sure the chemo medication I take daily isn’t hurting my body as it continues to work against the cancer returning. In addition I see my oncologist every time I have the blood work because they have to inject an extremely expensive chemo drug that is in a time release form. We literally have to freeze the injection site because the needle is the size of a 10 penny nail and is extremely painful if you don’t freeze the site. The needle makes a tunnel under the skin on my abdomen where the pellet is placed and slowly releases the medication. My first cancer was hormone positive and the maintenance chemo medication had an adverse effect with my body chemistry and was extremely harmful by weakening my already compromised immune system and allowed another cancer to start growing in me. I have never done anything the normal way and this was yet another example of that. It took 4 different consultations with 4 new doctors added to my team to argue over the best way to treat the new situation without causing more damage and still working against the first cancer so that it couldn’t return. Because I hadn’t been cleared to drive on my own yet I needed to be able to see the oncologist at a satellite office that is not even 3 miles from my home. The new doctor was the one who came up with the perfect treatment that in some ways is experimental as it is using a chemo drug normally used in treating men with prostate cancer. In a female it suppresses my hormones and puts me in medically induced menopause. It is a medication that I will have to have injected monthly for the rest of my life or until they can safely do a complete hysterectomy. Currently due to my spinal injuries and some other health issues that surgery is on hold. Complications or cancer related scares aren’t always talked about along with many other things that cancer patients aren’t really warned about as we start our various treatments. And as with everything in our world everyone is unique and can react differently from the “norm “. That has been my experience with so many things in my life journey. Cancer support groups and counseling are extremely helpful for both patients and their families and caregivers. You are extremely Blessed to have such a large, loving group of family and friends to support and be there for you and your family. Many times when someone finds out that they have cancer, they will notice that some of their “friends” and colleagues slowly start distancing themselves from you. This can be because they are scared or because they don’t know what to say or do to be there for you during this time. It didn’t help that I had already had been forced into medical disability leave that same year because of my spinal injuries. I did find journaling was helpful. Keeping you in my prayers. I Am Happy And I Deserve It Wala syang lung cancer, i believe his cancer has something to do w/ his colon. But during his chemo, the doctors found somethin/infection on his lungs (no confirmation or ruling out yet so we can't say it's cancer & we're all hoping it isn't). Good riddance.
Im a cancer survivor. On remission for 2 yrs now and just had MRI result today and everything is clear according to my oncologist! Amen! I know how you feel. You got the right attitude keep being positive Will and you will overcome all this. Have you consider attending some cancer group meeting? it will help you a lot too. Im not sure if you have faith and believe in God? My God is bigger than my cancer! He is definitely my savior! :) How i wish my two sons will speak tagalog like you !
Dude, man you got this. And IF you ever get sick of hearing people ask you how you're dealing, seek out a support group. Your doc should give you the hook up. Then you can tell everyone you're fine because really, you're dealing. You already know from reading comments here how the support from people going through what you're going through or have already gone through it, make you feel.

I'm also on the same boat; was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma since I was 13, and has had an amputation and 4 thoracotomies because of lung metastasis. Everything will be okay! Waiting about results is really the scariest moment, but take it easy and do what you do. Hi, Wil! You probably remember me from way back in your first vlog. You’ve been a great inspiration to me. I instantly connected with you from the first time I started watching. Being a native of Southern Manila, I lived close to your place in Rockwell. And you took me to back to the places that I’m very familiar with in your videos. You made feel at home especially with the bike ride that you did accross the city with Pudra, all the way to Intramuros(where you made me reminisce my college life).Living in the U.S., I’ve been in the SF Bay Area for a few years now which somehow made me feel like we just switched places(I think that’s why you got me hooked). And now, being on assignment for my job here in Southern California, you’re surely making me miss the laid back life and my friends in the Bay Area. Anyways, your videos and your upbeat personality really help me get through one of the darkest days in my life. I was sinking into depression at that time. I had a stressful job, which I quit and ended up unemployed for six months. I wasn’t sure what to do. I didn’t feel like working. I had family issues back in Manila. I wanted to go home during that break but I couldn’t because I was broke. I’m the lone breadwinner of my family. And my mom’s never ending medical bills there has been draining my pockets. I was also still recovering from my youngest brother’s incarceration for a year after a firearm accident caused him to end someone’s life. In short, I was really down. My friends advised me to go to a doctor and take antidepressants, which I did but they never did work. In fact, I felt like nothing did. That was until I saw your “Salitang Beki” videos. I went from binge watching nonsense movies and shows on Netflix, oversleeping for up to 18 hours a day and not showering for almost a whole week to being inspired by you. Your vlog was the first step to my recovery. I shouldn’t have even tried those antidepressants if I just have stumbled into your videos a bit earlier. In short, I’m okay now, man. I’m happy with my new job and that awful experience turned me into a more outgoing and positive human being. In fact, this is probably the most that I’ve felt that I was ok in my whole life. You will be ok, too. Pudra will be ok. Haley will be ok. And most especially, your mom will be ok. Just smile. God loves you, dude. Yo Wil, killin it with the vlog man! You should take a trip out to Point Reyes, Abbotts Lagoon specifically, gorgeous scenery, I am sure the drone footage would be good. I love it out there because there are not a ton of people. maybe a 3/4 mile hike to the sand, but it is very relaxing and easy going. Stay healthy man(mentally) don't restrict yourself too much haha
Wil, I have been following your journey silently for the last several months. I am slightly older than you and just before the holidays, diagnosed with colon cancer. The remarkable part is the similarities. I wanted to tell you that after my surgery, I was told there was a spot on my liver. I went through all of the emotions you are experiencing. I then had all of the scans. I will tell you that waiting for those results tested every bit of my resolve. The final result was the spot was nothing. In fact, I was told that it is not altogether uncommon to have this type of event while undergoing chemo.I am hoping the same for you. The only advice I can offer is try your best to stay busy. It only sort of works, but it does pass the time. I am now through all of the chemo and I assure you that you can make it too. Steve

Keep your head up Wil. I must say I have never seen a cancer patient that is treading so strong through his illness. It's to the point that I don't feel you have any illness. My Grandfather had colon cancer stage 3 at 85 years old. He had to undergo surgery and lots of stuff. He is now celebrating his 93rd birthday! So keep the faith

Bro the tumor shrunk , that shows your body is fighting. You will get through this. I think it’s just an infection. You do need to relax because of you, I'm better today and my chemo is finished and my other stupid things are finished the only problem I have that addition seem to go away is I will be living in a 60% lung capacity. But let me tell you something I didn't have half the energy you do I don't have have the drive I didn't haveHalf of the wind. All I wanted was to watch Wil and Haley videos I was in the hospital for three months three long agonizing months and all I wanted was Wil and Haley videos and to see your parents because your parents to me are the same age they reminded me of friends I wish I had. The spot on the long could be absolutely nothing it could be just that spot and unfortunately these doctors will milk the shit out of everything it's almost like they enjoy seeing you suffer I don't know why everything is next week results are always next week you can take a test and get the results back the same day why is that? Because a lot of it is just bullshit boy trust me, I got faith in you you help to me let my words help you I love you I love you sister I love your parents I'll talk to you later you're my inspiration kids

as something extra, ask your doctor if you can supplement with Turmeric... i am a dietitian and i like to supplement all of my patients that are fighting cancer with it, it is a great antioxidant... excuse my english i am from Guatemala :)

Wil, I believe talking about stuff when it's tough helps those that share your experience, a side benefit is you get stronger from it. You are awesome for the help you give to others Also, from experience with my Mom going through chemo treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (which developed due to her diet), I hope you read this and ask your Doctor about Platelet Transfusions for infection control. Maybe it hasn't reached that point yet, but it's good to know as much as you can. AND, I hope you and your family will watch the "What The Health" documentary regarding food and cancer on Netflix. It is available here on RU-vid-Red for $3.99, and well worth it if you don't have Netflix (sometimes it's free, so check). Going Vegan was one of the best non-medical things you could have done to help your system fight. Wishing you and yours the best.
