I honestly don't know how many times i searched "steam controller", "steam controller in 2023", put to most recently videos and your videos never showed, all that to RU-vid just out of nowhere recommend this video. Kkkkk nice job

I am opposite way. I use left trackpad for move and left joystick is relegated to less often used things. To be frank, I would prefer there to be a directional pad instead of a joystick.

I do hope the rumored vr pc machine/steam machine 2 will come with a sequel to the steam controller or a controller with a deck-like layout. I would love to have a controller that has perfect parity with the deck.

Yeah there's definitely been increasing interest in it, hopefully Valve will deliver. I'll be sure to post some demos if they do :)

Nice! You'll probably get better gyro performance from the new Gyro To Mouse mode.

Yup, that came out while I was in the process of making this video so I was able to go over it briefly, but didn't have too much time to familiarize myself with all the settings. I might do a follow up guide, especially after the wave of new users with the OLED :)

Id love to test these settings but I cant seem to edit and save the config at all. It resets every time on the controller. 😢 Have you updated yours with the new firmware? Any other ideas?

Actually on the SD's latest beta release I was able to try it.

Yeah that's a really annoying bug that can reset a lot of work, to the point where just to be safe, I save a new one each time ("Layout 1", "Layout 2", etc.) and delete the old ones later.
