It's called a punch-hole. I used to work in the film industry, and up until maybe 2010, I had to use an actual hole-puncher to make holes in film reels.

i love how perfectly you translated many of the quirks of early mickey shorts into the game. the steady bounce, the precise swinging motion when he uses the cat like a mace, even the way pete purses his lips to spew tabacco ! please never stop making games. your work is masterful.

That’s what makes it not genius, it’s basically a video game of the short. Despite this it’s a derivative work containing a trademarked character so don’t think about selling it, cause while legal to distribute for free, IT ISNT LEGAL TO SELL IT.

I feel like a game where you can serve customers, make stops to other places, complete objectives, and just screw around as steamboat Willie sounds more fun than just “Mickey but scary”

I’m so used to the Epic Mickey version of the song it took me more than half of the vid to realize what I was listening to😅 Edit: also!! If this game will have multiple levels, you should make the big black dot in the corner appear when a level is almost over! The dot was to show the ppl who were responsible for putting reels in the projector that that reel was almost done! :)
You know what, this actually looks pretty good! Mickey even abuses animals as one of his attacks! So far, this looks like the best game to come out of Steamboat Willie being public domain.
@@GlitchyBoi64RU-vid Nah man it's trickier, steamboat willie mickey without the hat looks VERY similar to ALL instances of Mickey that is still trademarked and NOT public domain.
This is only the second use of him in the public domain I've seen that I actually like. Can't wait to play it. Then I took a look at what channel this actually was and then it all made sense xD. Who else could it be.

I just can't get over how Mi- I mean Willie absolutely *EVISCERATES* Wartimer using an actual live cat as a weapon! 😂 100% true to form and looks like a ton of fun!
This is by far the best steamboat willie game I've seen. It would be super cool if the sfx, animations, and music were timed together kinda like how they did it in BotW and TotK!
