Intelligence is a ability to adapt to change - Stephen Hawking Once we step our Limits we go beyond them - Albert Einstein *I am Mad Scientist, Its so Cool, Sonnavabitch* - Okabe Rintarou
@@5id. yep, basically the story of the hardship of that version of okabe of the work he did so that they could reach the steins;gate worldline, so it does make sense why he's like that.
Reasons to watched the subbed over dub: Steins;Gate Edition 1. THIS SCENE. 2. If you decide to play the visual novels, it's the same voice actors. 3. HILARIOUSLY good/awful Engrish moments in Steins;Gate 0
@स्पाइडर मैन its basically an audio novel with visuals. like whenever the main character is talking to somebody in-game, there's a painting of that character on the screen. theres also computer graphic s(cgs) in visual novels, which show a scene happening, like a fight or people running away (or h-scenes for the horny ones) .
I'm just about to go watch the series, and then this shows up on my suggested feed. I think I need a doctor, because I'm dying from laughter right now. XD
From the moment this scene starts, we have some quick shots showing the alleyway, what's being sold, and the main characters taking part in this scene. The characters in question being of course, the street vendor, Mad Scientist HOUOHIN KYOMA and one of his lab members Suzuhara Amane, which mostly stays in background to this interaction. There's a few seconds of a staring between Kyouma and the Street Vendor himself, as he remains silent, giving off an intimidating aura, Kyouma is taken back, in doubt as to how to genuinely approach this fellow. We could dig into the psychology of the characters in this moment in time, Kyouma is obviously assuming that the Fellow Street Vendor of African Descent, might not speak or understand the Japanese language, causing him to figure out the quickest and most simple way to express his business, at that moment in time. Kyouma then proceeds to speak out, first with a friendly but direct addressing "Hey Mister!" it's a bold yet necessary action that he takes to properly set up the rest of his incredible introduction. He gives a strong and determined look, while pointing at himself with his raised right hand thumb, he says: "I'm mad scientist" in a decisive tone of voice, he's speaking with confidence, this is a fact as he is a mad scientist, and establishing and relaying this information to this stranger is vital, which also leads into the rest of the introduction. "It's so cool!" is the next line being spoke, it's enthusiastic in nature, an obvious remark in regards to his being a mad scientist, by using this line Kyouma shows a sense of proudness in doing what he does, he states clearly, how cool it is to be himself. While saying this he simultaneously raises both thumbs towards himself and gives a strained expression, just to emphasize his words even more and leave a greater impression, maybe in hopes that the display of confidence may persuade a sense of respect from the man he's speaking to, which is further developed and closed in the last line. "You son of a bitch!" This line ends the whole introduction on a strong note, that display of confidence is dramatised to an extreme extent, he goes out of his way to point his finger directly down with his arm fully extended (this could be further demonstration of his dominance over him) to clarify that he is indeed, the son of a bitch he's referring to. The line is also slurred and spoke with an almost vile tone that truly marks the dominating nature of these words, Kyouma in just a few lines managed to perfectly relay how: 1) He's a mad scientist 2) being a mad scientist is cool 3) that because of his status, he is above this street vendor. It's an incredible introduction, that although is quickly deflated once the Street Vendor replies, with a casual and very frank tone in Japanese: "Yes, What is it?" at which Kyouma resigns, for having given too much effort for nothing. This marks the end of one of the greatest interactions that this series has to offer, maybe the greatest of all time. I could go further on, talking about how by the end of the interaction, the Vendor might have accepted Kyouma's display of dominance, with how he shows no sign of ill will even after being addressed as a son of a bitch, or that maybe we could be hitting racial territories with this scene. If we truly realize the factors that determine this interaction, we could call out Kyouma on his racial prejudice, for thinking that an African male might not speak Japanese, but at the same time it might be mostly unintentional. But maybe this tells us more so of racial prejudice in Japanese society as a whole, considering how the Street Vendor is totally unphased by the interaction, he might just be an extremely calm and collected individual, but it might also be due to past experiences of seeing the same display. Ultimately, we can't truly be sure about such depths and either way, this is truly a spectacular masterpiece of a scene. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
***** Not all dub, The DBZ dub shows much more emotion then the Sub, have you heard King Kai's Japanese voice, compared to the DBZ Kai Voice of King Kai
Now I REALLY want to watch Steins;Gate. EDIT: Holy crud, I wasn’t aware of how many people liked and replied to this comment.... Well, as of now (December 28th, 2020), I have watched Steins;Gate. (I still need to watch Steins;Gate 0, though.)
Miyako Suzushima watch it waaatch it WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IT!!! steins gate IS SO COOOL SUNUVABITCH!
This is the best sci if anime I have ever watch by far. I was only 7 years old back then when this masterpiece on air. I wish this franchise will come back.
@@goolgepl2112 Lmao I somewhat vaguely remember seeing a video (please feel free to correct me if the below information is incorrect, my memory sucks...) speaking about how in Japan, schools were being closed down as an effect of a youth population decline or something to that effect. And I kid you not...there was a comment that said something to the effect of "I can't believe these are the people that brought us anime".
Fuckibg love it how he sneaks sunuvabiatch in there. I can't tell if he tries to satirise how westerners talk or he wants to appear more friendly to the seller
If there's one critique I have about the English dub, is that it's missing this line. I can't be helped though, because y'know, they're already speaking English.
lordcloudx I'm spanish and yes, it's the literal translation. But he says it wrong in english (sonuvabitch), so, the best translations should be something wrong (like i said, hueputa, wich is literal and with a mistake on purpose)
I see alot of things changed in okabe's character from steins;gate to steins;gate 0. This dude really went from a hyped af 17 years old kid character to a depressed 40 years old character, even though he's 18-19 in these two seasons.
The difference between this scene and real life Japan is that the Japanese people irl would continue to use broken English even after the foreigner has demonstrated Japanese proficiency
bro do youu know what is the best order to watch is it the chronological or the release date im know in ep 19 and im scared of watching in the wrong way
