Well, technically galaxy is not purged until you purge all forms of life (that includes pirates, ether drake, void clouds, crystal entities as well as dangerous wildlife tile blockers. Oh yeah and space cows as well). But outside of that that's purification of the galaxy well done.

I think you can replace the "Slow learners", which is pretty bad on its own, by "Disgusting" perk in the species traits, because no one is going to suffer -5% to happiness if they do not live anyway,

Imagine coming across an entire galaxy with ancient ruins and no sentient life. An entire cluster of stars that lay dormant in a (for the sake of argument) in an otherwise lively galaxy. Deciphering the religious texts of the race that wiped out a galaxy and, eventually, finding actual peace in the abandoned wastes. Just one solitary traveller was set off course or something and arrived in an area entirely bereft of intelligent life. Now imagine stumbling upon what was left of that traveller. I like the idea of stories stacked on top of each other.

Imagine if this is what happened, but they didn't notice us. Noone left as a witness but the empty cities on barren worlds, Earth being the last beacon of life in an entire galaxy. Kinda depressing, isn't it? EDIT: Holy shit top comment, 13 replies and loved by Valefisk... Wasn't expecting that.

It's kinda like a cosmic horror story for the newly ascended race. Here we have a xenophobic materialistic civilization who'd only recently ascended pass the space age, full of a wide eyed anticipation for making new discoveries in space while being a bit fearful of who they would meet, only for their fears to be justified when a race of terrifying insects outright conquered them and worked their entire species to death. However, to the insects in question, the new species were just an insignificant bump on the road to utopia. Lovecraft would've been proud if Earth wasn't the xenophobic insects' last target...

You clicked on the button that sets the default species rights, which determines the rights for newly encountered species. Modifying rights for existing species is on the left, underneath the portrait.

This was the video that got me the most interested in Stellaris since at the time I had a shity computer and could not play the game. I started pushing myself to clean up and reorganize my room, and also get a new bed so that I could get a new computer and play this game. Now all of this has come true, all thanks to this video! You went through all that work and left the enclaves and space born aliens alive?

I would play a game about those few pirates that survived on the outskirts of the galaxy, where they just explore and try to survive in the ruins of all these different civilizations. They would tell stories they heard as children about the mysterious Purifiers that systematically murdered everyone in the galaxy and then just vanished, leaving behind a massive galactic empire in utter silence.

This video introduced me to paradox games, vale I hate you but love you because of this. On one hand my political opinions swung wide and I became a bit of Turd back in the day due to the marvellous characters associated with paradox games. Yet these same characters lead me to meet some great people and now I sell arms to the us government and other silly little guys in Europe and the Middle East. Without watching this video 7-8 years ago my life would probably be different and I thank you for helping me onto my path.
