I had my appointment with the LV Care Expert about my issue with the glazing on my Pochette Metis. Here we go!!

Not encouraging to say the least that a known defect of this bag is such an issue for LV to address.The fact the manager said it cannot be repaired is a huge red flag. He should've sent it in instead of just dismissing the customer. I get time has passed but the issue has not. They know for a fact they produced many defective bags that are still out there. It's like they just want to wash their hands. Hope you get a new bag.

So true. And they would claim its a sign of usage! Yup they did it to me. And mine was like 4 years old when it started cracking.

Hello! A client of mine had the same issue with her preloved LV metis bag, she took it in about 10-11 months ago and at her particular store they said, ‘oh we are so sorry, yes this has been a known defect on these bags, we will be happy to give you a credit for the bag or do a repair, which ever you wish….They also told her, we can give you a refund for the bag at the cost it was in relation to the date code inside of the bag.’ She also told me … her husband is in the car business and if someone purchases a used car, and a recall comes on that car model, it is the companies responsibility to fix it on ALL of the cars not just the new ones! You are such a sweetheart Jennifer and I hope that you get yours corrected the way so many others have.🙏🏼💖

All I can say is WOW, my happy behind would be marching back to that store (after I have a solution 😉) & give them a piece of my mind! This is a know issue with this bag & no matter what should be rectified to the best of their ability no matter when it happened! Keep us posted Jennifer, good luck!

Jennifer, I’m so glad that you continued to look into receiving a solution to this issue, and that you didn’t just accept the rejection from the Orlando boutique. I really hope the LV Atelier resolves this for you. I mean seriously, who would want to risk being your “best friend” (boutique or otherwise 😉)? You’re so right, those darn bad 🍎 ruin it for those of us who have a valid issue. (Don’t get me wrong, I love apples 🍎😅) Again, great follow up video. I look forward to the updates on your bag. Hi Jennifer, I didn’t catch your first video on this, but from what I gather you have the glazing issue. I’ve had two experiences with this. I did a video on my Ikat never full, which they recently replaced all the sticky glazing. I have another video coming out this weekend where I had my Luminuese bag that had the same issue and I opted for a replacement of a totally different bag and I just paid the difference. Although they would’ve repaired the bag for me if I wanted to, so they can clearly repair the glazing. As far as your leather pull tab, I totally get that you want the original version. I remember years later when I wanted to buy the pochette Métis I called my sales associate and asked if I buy the Matisse now that doesn’t have the leather tab can I purchase that as a replacement part and they said yes. So you may want to ask if they go ahead and replace your bag if you can purchase that tab separately or if they could give you that leather pull tab to keep. Good luck with everything I’ll be interested to hear what happens.

I’m so sorry I can empathize with you, I bought the Pouchette Métis secondhand because you couldn’t find it in 2019, the glazing got so gummy I was afraid to use it. It was in excellent condition otherwise. I contacted the Denver LV Store and they refused to help me. I ended up selling mine to Fashionphile and lost a grand on it. I haven’t purchased from LV since: I hope it works out better for you than it did for me.

You did an AMAZING job keeping your cool! Loved how you handled the phone call. On another note .....a year?!? Yoive already been in FL a year already?! How is that possible? Wish I had a nail salon for you(non-conveyor belt type). 🌸

Thank you!! Yes, it has been a year (on Jan 14). We can't believe it either! Can we call ourselves Floridian now? Hahaha! As for the nail salon, why is it so hard to find anything between the strip mall conveyer belt experience and the Four Seasons All Day Grand Spa experience? I'm more than happy to pay extra for a better experience but don't need or want to make it an all day event with cucumber water and tea sandwiches. So frustrating. (First world problems...) 😊

Hi Jen! That's great they'll check it out. I think it depends on the person at the boutique; it's unfortunate that customer service in general is not the "customer is always right" anymore, like the old days. I would fix it and keep it if they give you the option. It's a great bag. Your hair looks amazing - can you please do a video on what you use for hair care (shampoo, conditioner, leave-in treatment?) I have color-treated hair and growing out highllights that caused dry ends and flyaways and am having a time looking for the right products . Also, your lipstick is so pretty! Which color is it? Thanks for keeping us updated! :)

I brought a Metis years on the preloved markert and it had problems with the glazing and they took it and replaced it with a brand new model, from LV in Cairns Australia

Jennifer, I would consider taking off the zipper tab before you send it in. Chances are you won't get that back and I know you like it.

I hate to hear that. I’m in Jacksonville fla and I have had great experiences with the LV store at town center . Had a wallet where the red button was scraping off and I had for 2 years. They sent it off ad put gold tone button on it for me . Took awhile but was worth it . Good luck with your bag it is beautiful

Jennifer, as am familiar with the particular boutique and the area in general, sadly I am not surprised with the icy lack of customer care you received. It’s inexcusable. One observation I have had is that because of the area being the destination area it is, and the tourist/transitory nature of many people there, building and maintaining good relationships with the customer sometimes isn’t a priority. Because most customers aren’t going to be returning. And customer service should be a priority. I can remember visiting the Nordstrom in Bellevue 8 years after we moved from the area, and being greeted by my first name by the sales people when I stopped by during one of my visits there. I’m sincerely hoping that you will be happy and at peace with the outcome of this repair journey. 🍀

Yes, I agree with your assessment of that location. Such a shame though, as there are so many affluent people living permanently in the area who I'm sure would love to be treated like a valued customer. Plus, they looked up my account, saw where I live (20 minutes from the store) and saw the many purchases I have made at LV's all over the world. So strange.. I love your wonderful experience at the Nordstrom in Bellevue. That's fabulous!

@@JustJennifer Was just going to ask if the store bothered to look at your Client Profile and purchase history. My guess is that once you reached out thru this most recent contact, they actually did that and realized "Oh hey, we need to do right by this client - we need to call and have a discussion and see how we can help." Can't wait to hear the outcome!

Hi Jen Hope it all works out, they need to take care of their defective item. The store you went to just seems like they didn’t want to be bothered. I think Louis Vuitton needs to remind the stores they are there to provide service to the customer, this is not their personal store to pick and choose who they want to provide good customer service to.😡

Yes, it does seem like the managers and employees at various stores have their own rules and ways of providing service. It would be a much more "luxury" experience if they could all follow the same protocol across the board, company wide.

I think if it's a manufacture defect, it should be looked at and dealt with however they see fit. But I don't believe that anything manufacture defect related should be dealt with at the boutiques. They should change that policy and have corporate office (repair department) deal with it right across the board.

I can be confrontational when I need to be - paying thousands of dollars for a handbag and the designer house won’t take care of poor quality- probably would be my last bag! You are definitely nicer Than I would have been!!

I just did a repair claim with LV in December. They charge me $735 to redo the glaze and vachetta and the bag looks brand new. I love the bag so I went ahead with it. It looks perfect. I bought the bag in 2018. I think it was worth it plus they complimentary cleaned the canvas. I took pic though so you might get a different outcome then the video. I did exactly what she stated and LV will contact you with the details of your repair.I hope everything goes well with the repair. Tfs❤

LV don’t stand behind their products, they don’t want to repair but they will to sell you part/s which will cause at least 30% & up of the cost of the bag. I don’t buy bag from them anymore only SLG limited and made in France only. Most of their bag got issue due to the style flaws.

To me, as a customer service manager myself for many years, I feel this person is really wanting to do something for you! They would never go thruasking you to send the item back to them, just to say no. If it is unrepairable and they have no replacement bags, I suspect they will give you a gift card. Be aware though that you may not get this bag back, once you send it in to them! Fingers crossed and I look forward to hearing a happy outcome from you hopefully in a few weeks!

oh my what a load of fluff from LV - I could almost hear her squirming in her chair! A bit of progress none the less. Sounds like they need to provide better training to their SA’s so that customers receive consistent service. I have to say though, you handled that very well indeed.
