Uuip uuip, my fav powercat builders are on again,, 🥰! Ohh yes. The Multitools are the best to cut fiberglass with. Leaves very little dust due to the thin blades, and theres no cooling fan like in anglegrinders that blows/whirls the dust around. Im using a half circular carbide blade thats original designed to take down cheramiks in bathrooms etc, to cut glassfiber with, and its extremely wear resistant and not so expensive. The FESTOOL ROTEX 150mm/6" are hands down the best tool Iw ever invested in. With the right sandpapers and a strong vacuumcleaner conected to it it leaves very little dust to make you itch to death,, 😬, and it keeps the "papers" clean from dust and thereby the "teeths" on the paper can reach the surface. (Hmmm,, my English are not enough to exactly explain what I mean. Hope you understand anyway 😅) The best grindingpapers for the Rotex is FESTOOLS own and MIRCA,s D150mm grinding net, that are totaly "see through". // I would without hasitation leave minimum 4" from the tunnel, whatever the drawing says. 4" are 4 times stronger than 2", and 4" gives the epoxy and glass some real surface to grip on to. Cheers, much luv, huge hugs and may the best of weekends lay before y´all,, 🍻🍻😎👍👍❣️
Wow! No worries. Your English is excellent. Thanks for the info. Festool is great but so expensive! I suppose we’ll use it enough to justify the price 😂 thanks for tuning in and have a lovely weekend as well. 🙏🏼
If you want more glamour in your build you might want to think about using some eye shadow and a little blush, maybe even think about updating your wardrobe with some more elegant outfits? I'm just messing with you 😜 You're doing a very nice job & thanks for the videos!
Eh we did the patreon thing for a little bit! Decided it wasn’t for us at this stage in life! Merch 🤔 might need to throw some designs up somewhere just for the hell of it.
@@BuildingMVDauntless Yeah I did the patreon thing for a bot as well a few years ago, came to the same conclusion plus some of them think they own ya now. I chaffed at that. Now I just use my patreon account to contribute to other great projects, ya know like yours ;) But merc... I NEED a MV Dauntless t-shirt for my collection of great boat builds :D
We are using modified plans for the spirited 230. They are an Australian based boat designer. The helped with the design modifications to meet our standards. Thanks for following along 😊
@@BuildingMVDauntless I’m currently looking for plans to start a build but I can’t find anyone with plans I like I’m looking for 35-40f with a 10-12’ beam. I want a open layout center console and I can’t seem to find one
My experience of my multitool is that it’s very slow for long cuts, but I’ve never tried fibre glas, only wood and light concrete. He jigsaw has the big disadvantage of flaking the top side while the multitool makes much nicer edges. By the way great to see your project going forward while having this sort of discussions! Keep up the good work!
