Amazing project! Very complex. I’m surprised at the weight - very light. I’ll go back and watch earlier videos, but it looks like it’s going to be a beauty. Nicely done!
Back in the 50's they measured boats along the gunnel from bow to stern then in the 70's they measured the keel again bow to stern today it's as the crow flies bow to stern also OMC measured HP at the prop where Mercury measured at the head making mercury marked as lets say a 15hp but is really a 20 or 22hp motor and thats why OMC had power and Mercury had the speed !
Hello and thanks for the update!!! I'm following a couple building a catamaran in San Diego named SV Lynx. I was telling him that I saw your video about using a drill in order to twist your "worms" or "snakes" or "ropes" that you filled the edges in your foam panel with at certain areas. I cannot find that video in order to show him!! Please help. I've almost rewatched your entire library in fast forward tapping. I'm almost convinced that i made it up. 😢
Ok so it’s at step 27 assembling the transom, time stamp is around 16:50! The way we did it is “controversial” to some other cat builders out there tho 😅 thanks for tuning in.
Congrats on the wedding guys. I have been hanging out to see where you are all up to. Craig has done a great job on the redesign and you have done a brilliant job realising it. Rossco
At the time that we purchased our plans, they were approximately $2k we added extra cost for the upgrades on two separate occasions. We will go over total costs for everything, in depth, when the build is completed. Thanks for following along on our journey 😊
Hi guys, congrats on your marriage and good to have you back. You are very creative as I see modifying the design to your requirements. I was not as courages as you are, keep it up. Just a little, suggestion, may be you already planned it but, make sure you strenthgen roof top to be able to step on it
Thanks 😊 the newly designed roof has a step in it which makes it very ridged. We also added extra glass on both sides to reinforce. Thanks for reaching out 😊
Great to see you back and congratulations to you marriage! ❤ What is that honeycomb material called? Can you fiberglass with both epoxy and polyester over it?
Thank you. If you search honeycomb composite panels you should find some. We had some issues with the company we purchased from so I would rather not send people there. As far as resins we are primarily using epoxy resin. Unfortunately I am not familiar with the properties of polyester. Thanks for watching 😊
Amazing build both of ya at 6.24 you have your hand on the facia boards white ones that look like corrugated boards or are they some type of honeycomb panels but what are they called. Thank you so much for your time. Again Amazing boat build
@@traviscarter9182 I remember… they’re from a company called Carbon core. We had a terrible experience with them and try not to put their name out there for recommendations. But they were the cheapest around when we ordered them back in ‘21. Again, would not recommend them because of their awful customer service but the product seems great.
@traviscarter9182 unfortunately we did not do a build video of the hot wire cutter. Our version was very rudimentary, but it did work. Thanks for following along😊
Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the difference in windshields from the rendering , until it was too late. We were mostly focused on the new lines of the boat. Thanks for following along 😊
