Everything you make it looks Factory made, amazing how your mind works, God gave you a beautiful gift ,definitely it’s from your maker that blessed you with amazing gift from God.
Usually don't see this level of skill till the grey hair comes in. Very talented young man, humble and always ready to learn, that's what makes a master craftsman.
Right he reminds me of the old man thay builds his own replica mini cars like this one and they actually look very well done I know this ones mostly like a tricked out go kart engine powered one but it's still fucking legit and more than unique... Can't wait to see his next build like this he obviously has the body work and metal shaping down but I'd like to see one be built and fully legal to cruise down the road in.... I know interesting cars is what got me started as a kid.... my first love of a car was a 59 4 door bel air that was my dad's first car my grandpa bought him thay was almost knew cuz it eS a rich old lady's Sunday driver.... odometer was at 68 k all original miles when it got parked finally.... one of these days I'll have to cash to atleast get it running and driving again.... my dad parked it cuz the rear end went out and it's sat in blocks since I was like 3 or 4 and I'm 26 now but I always said growing up it was gonna be my car and still to this day it's my absolute favorite of the aeroplane styling they went for in cars at that time with the bird in flight fins on thay ass end and just the front bumper styling and the front an rear lights..... it's just amazing
@@MakeItKustom love seeing your creativity and the quality craftsmanship. What is the tool you are putting into the drill at 20:10? Looking forward to your next video.
Karl your so talented and skills are fantastic!!!!! I just love to watch you design and build something from scratch in to a piece of art. Keep up the great projects and thanks for sharing.☺️☺️☺️👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
Every time I think I've learned and gotten better with my metal work, I watch your video and realize I've got a long way to go! But, it's very inspirational, so keep it up! Note to self: I also need a few more tools and to do a few hundred more projects.
I love that you show the "learning experiences too" it takes a level of skill to do things right the first time, the level of skill to repair or change is much higher. Thanks again.
Man even at my age I’m learning a lot. (74)I’m building a chopper removing the Right side drum brake to left side disc. I’m using a lot of Dble split colors as bracket units. I know, a bit strange. I don’t have a milling machine, 😍. I love this Buick Special!!
I absolutely love this project, just keeps getting better. I think I’m a little old for mini bike football (I don’t heal up as fast as I used to) but it looks like a great way to pass some time with friends.
That's a lot of sweet bracketry courtesy of the plasma cutter . All looks great in place and also proves ya got it right at the end of the video . Great to see soo many mini bikes and soo many grown up kids having fun . Gotta let ya hair down once in a while . Love the look on your face when it actually went backwards for the very first time . Thanks for sharing the fun Karl
Your fabrication skills just blow my mind this thing just gets better and better! Your friend is somewhere up above praising the work that you’ve done and wishing he could be there to enjoy it with you I’m sure ! keep up the great work my friend and great videos! 👍🏼🤩💪🏼
Carl my most favorite build. So happy to see a new video on the build my friend. It's really coming together nicely done. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God Bless.
@@tomcoryell Thanks, I have repeatedly done so. A thumbs down on the scammer's post, possibly by many other viewers, may have an effect on their removal.😁👍
Love the Trail 70s. My wife and I take our two Trail 70s out on the logging roads during the spring time. Never thought about playing soccer. Looks like FUN!
I absolutely love what you do Karl, you have such a incredible mind, you already have it figured out just by looking at it, I really think you see things in 3D😂 You are such a problem solver and there is nothing you can’t do. The tools you create is what sets you apart from others, just the added details you see in your mind, to me is pure talent. The Hot Rod industry is so lucky to have you, you make learning fun. You are a special kind of person.
Looks like a great design. Hmmm steel on steel with no grease nipple and no way to get the reverse lever apart. I think it’s only going to be short term solution. You got a lathe! You should have added some kind of bushes and cir-clips or some way to disassemble.
Love all your videos! Please never stop doing them! Your fab skills are incredibly impressive!!! I sure hope I get to meet you one day. You seem like a cool dude!!
you should try a thumb trigger for your tig ... I can't live without it anymore. makes welding in awkward positions so much better. good work, keep it up
Another great episode. The minibike party was great. 71 Honda sl70, 79 Yamaha mx80, 69 bonanza cr410 mini chopper and as of last night, 70 Deltek rockhopper. I saw one of those in your crowd of bikes Thanks for everything
Love your CAD work, cardboard assisted drawings. That cardboard template was great. Just bend the rear cable braket a little bit more on the back area so the cable exits straight. Over time it will cut through the ferral you don't want it to bind and fray the cable. That is looking so cool. Besides your brakes and gas pedal, you have work on the dash remote start switch. You will enjoy this ride more than you realize. It's a great looking machine.
Love this baby Buick. Keeps getting better and better. Amazing work - you’ve definitely got an eye for proportions and style. One thing did catch my eye which was slightly disturbing…. A blue Home Depot garbage can? Wtf - how is that even possible?! 😂
Damn Karl. The Baby Buick is a badass lil cruiser bro. I have to say... she's the coolest built, not bought mini car I ever seen! It's all fabrication as usual is awesome! Love your channel man. I'm so looking forward to seeing her completed. Just throwing it out there brother. When you're done with the Baby Buick. I think, you should build like a mini Roadster or something of that nature using all your creative fabricated metal skills. Just a thought! Keep On Keeping Brother!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Pretty awesome watching your process of designing the arm for the reverse cable!!! WOW, man, this was really awesome, Karl! I'm a little late watching the video, but I've been working a lot and pretty much work, eat, sleep and taking care of my dog and maybe trying to read a little news, not much! This was a great episode to watch! The leaver for the reverse really does remind me of an airplane leaver for take off lol; it's compact for the small area you have to work with!!!
OMG, this video is SICK! Some great fabrication and the mini-bike soccer IS the reason why women out live their men! It looked like so much fun, now I want a mini car & mini bike! Keep rocking Karl!
What an awesome job !!Love the mini bike soccer, I so would have do n e that 20yrs ago. Shit breaks to easy now and takes to long to heal. Great video!!!
love this project it just keeps getting better, the mini bike football reminds me of playing dirt bike tag on the beach it very quickly degenerated in to a full contact sport.
Karl the Car is looking Excellent Nice job on mounting the steering column I figured you want to put a thicker piece on the top and shredded it so you would have no nuts And the mini bike races looked like everyone had fun
Karl, you have all the skills! Anyone that says things like..."why didn't you get it right the first time" has never actually designed and built anything. Those are the people that are "managers" they "manage" to get paid for not creating anything...
Nice work! I like how all of the brackets etc are functional, but also have style that carries through the whole build. The mini bike soccer game was hilarious. Before the ball got thrown in I thought maybe you were lining up for an extreme game of red rover.
3 minutes into the video and I already know how I'd want to try to setup that reverse lever. I'd take an old floor shifter and set it up where pushing it forward would be for forward and pull it back for reverse. And I'd have an 8 ball shift knob or one of those custom skulls like you made and gave away in a different video.
My dad and I are going to be building a Honda Civic race car this winter and I love to watch these videos to see another perspective on how to overcome various fabrication issues. Even though our project end goal is not going to have the "flourish" of the baby Buick or the Zephyr (when are those videos coming vack hmmm??), and we are both experienced in fabrication (dad's been building race cars for 60+ years) I like to have a lots of sources to draw on for whatever problems may arise. Like, we'll be cutting the body off the car and should brace the inside so it won't flop around like a limp...spaghetti noodle. And oh hey look! A whole video about bracing a car! Fantastic stuff, as always.
It might have been mentioned already... idk. But, I think the master cylinder needs to be higher than the brake caliper in order to bleed the system properly. But... I'm not a brake engineer by any means. Amazing and beautiful work as always. Thank you for sharing.
When I seen those 2 Honda CT 70s I was thinking about all the fun I had on one I built a few years back there are so many groups on the internet and you can buy all kinds of aftermarket parts I had a 108 stroker motor on mine with falcon mag wheels a hydraulic front end with disc brakes aluminum swing arm it had alot of power compared to the stock ones it would wheelie in 3 out of 4 gears and ran 60 mph with me on it and I'm about 220lbs. Lol you and your buddy's look like yall were having a blast. Great video your friend from Louisiana Rick 427
Some people may think Karl is way overdoing this little car. But if he is going to be taking this to swap meets and car shows, this is pure advertising. It showcases a lot of the many talents that he has. Maybe I'm a little bias because I'm Canadian as well, I have never met a person that is so talented at such a young age. Keep doing what you're doing Karl. You have lots of fans of your work out here now. All the best brother.
I love the extra mile you go for all the brackets and other fab work. Looking great Karl !! Cant wait to see it driving around. I look forward to seeing some work on the big cars too, whats happening with Christines Caddy ? Cheers, im sure i will run into you in our little town one day 👍😎
Getting there! Keep on Keepin' on. Loved all the mini bike stuff. Now I know why all the bikes are kept at your place. You have the room to play. But now you're gonna have to build another shop. All your buddies are gonna want little cars...
It would be great to see how you would build a mini car. A mixture of hand work and machine work on the body build. Something cool like a mini t bucket.
As always your craftsmanship is second to none. How about saving you knees and back and time. By putting some saw horses under it,or on top of a table. Just a suggestion
I like the airplane reverse handle. Another option might have been to nest the reverse handle and pivot inside the side walls of the column riser. The plate you formed to join the two sides would have to be on the opposite side though.
