I found your video by accident looking up for codes, 3934 & 3911 with inactive codes 4162, 3232 and 2771 which I have not yet addressed. Even though your video doesn’t relate to me I found it very educational as these are the things that the dealers don’t want the truck owner to know how to do because they will be losing out on high dollar repair revenues. Thanks a million.
When in Cummins quickserve you tried getting info on a 4 digit fault code that that said error occurred, when that happens just erase the 0 and it should work on most of those codes with a 0 at the beginning
yoban gonza mechanically there is most likely nothing wrong with the truck. This code relates specifically to the scr/def system. The problem will most likely be with the scr, a nox sensor, def quality or quantity getting into the exhaust stream, or the def doser itself. Unfortunately it will shut down the truck in derate. I think this happens after three key cycles or three hours of driving.
TroyP20 - are there any other associated fault codes? This code is primarily dealing with nox conversion. Which means it is most likely going to be limited to your DEF system or SCR catalyst. The only thing I can think of in your particular situation is the possibility of your DEF freezing in cold weather. But usually other fault codes will be present suggesting such a condition. That’s as much as I can think of at the moment.
Alrey Industries I appreciate the fast response no it only gives me that fault code of 4364 fmi 18 still runs as nothing is wrong I live in Florida so once I get out of cold weather it disappears maybe the pan that heats the DEF is not getting hot enough or maybe the doser valve is freezing not sure
Good morning sir, I’m currently experiencing this problem, the origination of mine is from bad def , I’ve change def filters they changed doser injector done regens changed the exhaust nox and 40 miles both check lights came up and the def light aswell , any suggestions Ives spend thousands already and stil not fix , should I change the inlet nox ?
