They had known Manny's capabilities but still goin' in becoz they thought they will defeat the 8 division champion, that it is their pride to beat the superstar of boxing. It's greed and arrogance. As an amateur I lost a state representative bout 10 points to fifteen. I walked back to my corner and trainer at the end before the results and exclaimed to my trainer “I’ve lost this one.” My trainer replied: “ that’s okay, it’s your apprenticeship, but if you returned and said you had won I would have advised you to find another sport.” Adrian. Broner 50/295 total punches. That's an average of 24 punches thrown and 4 landed, per round. Manny's numbers were about double that (112/568), plus to he looked like he was initiating most of the contact and had Broner in a trouble a few times. If you wanted to be the most generous judge in the world, you could call it a draw. But under no circumstance did Broner win that fight. Not even close.

My apologies but that’s exactly why Broner even got the fight, and all his champion after champions fights. He is extremely marketable like him or not. His mouth, character, personality, demeanor, is why he continues to get great fights. Simply put he sells tickets please believe me. And the sport of boxing needs to sell tickets and he’s one of the best at selling his fights. He is extremely famous and very know his popularity is unmatched.
