Imagine sparring 250 rounds with Manny Pacquiao. That would be like art lessons with Leonardo da Vinci, golf lessons from Tiger Woods, or lessons in stand up comedy from Brendan Schaub.
After 250 rounds of sparring with one of the finest in Manny Pacquiao, nobody...like nobody will intimidate George Kambosos. That's why he was so calm and collected the entire promotion for Lopez fight and after beating him, he's not over his head despite the huge accomplishment. Great for boxing!
@@etagged If kambosos had experience fighting manny then loma is a cake walk for him. Loma is the type of guy that manny would stop in 4 rounds in his prime. Remember that prime manny stopped Barrera, Morales, Marquez, guys that are around Loma level and I'm being generous at that
Kabosos didn't just learned fighting from manny pacquiao, but he also learned the most important attitude that a boxer should have. Silent, Calm, humble but deadly 🔥
Yeah 💯 Manny Pacquiao has a friendly face before the fight, always smiling, stayed humble and keeping his calm even though his opponent trash talked him. Suddenly it changes inside the ring.. Look at Pacquiao's eyes when he fought Keith Thurman, right before the bell rungs.. Those eyes are scary.. 😱
I'd be more afraid of this calm, cool, collected, confident gentleman than a loud mouth, gas faced, hot headed, arrogant bully anyday. Well done George!! Well done!!
I had the privilege of going to 3 of Manny Pacquiao's fights. The 2 at Dallas Cowboy stadium and the Broner fight. Watching Manny beat up Margarito close up was a treat. I'll never forget it
@@sanantoballa4834 that wasn't the peak paquiao, he's already a fighting congressman at that time and had already change his religion, as you can see he's not as ruthless as he was in that fight. He could've knocked Margarito out if he wanted to.
I have fewer than 1 friend in the World. That's right. Everybody disses me for making bad videos. I think they are perfect though. Who is right? My dissers or me? Which side are you on, dear mike
Hard not to root for the man. He sacrificed and waited his time during all the postponements and drama around the fight. Congrats to him. Hopefully he gets some nice pay days
Here in the Philippines, before we already knew that George will be a champion someday. Look at him right now as humble as pacquiao. We wish nothing but the best for Kambosos we want Kambosos to be the undisputed Lightweight champ!
That’s true, Haney and tank fans are delusional to think that Teo is garbage. They’re saying that bc they know they won’t have to fight him now. As much as I dislike Teo, I would love to see him come back and beat tank or Haney. It would be as satisfying as Kambosos beating Lopez. People discrediting Lopez is the same as discrediting kambosos. Kambosos will prove he’s at the top after his next victory. Lopez was just a little wake up call to the light weight division. But Haney, tank, and Garcia pushed the snooze button on Kambosos. I can’t wait for George to wake them up again for good.
He seems like the best because there hasn’t been anybody like him in a long long time, but trust me if you do your homework you’ll see there’s more impressive resumes, not many, but there are…
@@1111111111202 if I have to explain it to you here then there’s nothing I can do that will impress you. There’s 135 years of boxing history I recommend you research a little bit more about who are considered generally as the top 10-20 of all time. For many, Pacquiao has broken in to the Top 20 maybe top 10-15. That tells you a lot of what you probably don’t know. If you’re clearly asking me to list them then you really haven’t really looked into it. I won’t discuss with you but will give you this: there’s a very rich history of this sport ready for you to discover. If you love Pacman, then you clearly have a passion for this sport. Enjoy! I wish I was in your feet. Everything would be new again!
What Kambosos did that night was awe inspiring. Everyone was counting him out and saying he should stay away from Lopez’ power, but instead he comes out, takes the fight to him and knocks him on his ass, then proceeds to put on a boxing clinic. We witnessed something special that night
@@SuperCrazyEstonian true, kambosos was hit with hella big shots in the 10th. His chin and conditioning saved him. I don't wanna see him get hit like that again though.
George had Manny’s mentality those years training with him in General Santos and sparring at the Wild Card gym. He really studied him. Look at George now, the way he carry himself and fights without saying that much. It’s like seeing a caucasian Manny at work.
As someone in Australia who has followed his career for a while, deserves everything he gets and more......classy, humble, respectful....AND A BEAST IN THE RING.........THIS IS WHAT A TRUE CHAMPION LOOKS LIKE !!!
We have 12 rounds in every fight. So basically a 250 round is like having 20 fights with an elite fighter, but Manny is not only an elite fighter but an all time great and a legend of the sport.
Such an immensely easy guy to like and root for if you're a Pacquiao fan looking for somebody new. Manny is a legend, and it will be fun to see how a former sparring partner and great fighter in their own right goes from here!
@Mr DeShaun they were even with a knockdown a piece and in rounds going into round 11. Kambosos clearly won the last two rounds. This was not a difficult fight to score. In reality, for once, the underdog who outperformed the standing champion in their own backyard finally got the decision. The better man won.
The difference between Manny & Mayweather. Is that Pacquiao fought whomever, whenever. Took risks constantly! By moving up in weight, fighting bigger opponents, in their prime. And because of that he took some L's. But that's the same reason he is so loved, and revered. Whereas Floyd always played it safe, and was very calculated. Fought his tougher opponents when they were out of their prime. Or before they had entered their prime. Pretty much fought at the same weight his whole career as well. Which is why he was able to avoid losses(even though Luis Castillo Jr beat him in their 1st fight). But that's also the reason he is such a polarizing figure. And why so many dislike him. Along with some of his domestic abuse issues. And for these reasons, the majority of fans will always look back on Manny more favorably Floyd...
Manny is the kobe of boxing .. his work ethic is just so astonishing that any normal being would never get to do that everyday of their life but he treats it like a damn usual everyday habit
The way he talks is almost like a humble Conor, not just a unique accent, but the way he delivers each sentence so confidently and smoothly. Definitely got a fan in me, hoping he holds the belts for a while
He’s nothing like Conor , a “humble Conor” what does that even mean?? , Conor was never humble, it was an act until he got money and power, which shows people’s true colours, now he’s nothing but a multi millionaire coke head living with demons.
If only more people in boxing had the same mentality as George. Isn't worried about losing that 0, just about bringing the best fights to the people. Respect to him ,the people's champ. 🙏
Floyd is the one who made boxers think the 0 is a huge deal. Pacquiao is a perfect example of how it isn't. Look at him, making a crap ton of money, one of the most famous athletes on earth, and last but not least, breaking boxing records that are almost impossible to accomplish
He’s smaller than pacqiao. 2 weight classes smaller. And was excited to spar against one of the hardest punchers 2 weight classes above him. Incredible spirit and heart
Kambosos is exactly the person that boxing needs humble but confident and still hungry to achieve more young prospects take note this is the man they should be looking up too.
ofc, he's been sparing and trainig with the PacMan, even if he may not fully adapted pacquiao's fighting style, atleast he adapted pacquiao's humbleness... another goat in the making
I dont care whether unified or undisputed, they way this young guy describes his training, passions, manny's talents and achievements, i love it, so much respect for him.. Congrats Champs!!! You deserved it!!!
I hope George stays champion for many years to come he’s definitely a real one, such a humble dude, the guys just beat one of the worlds best fighters and he’s talks so calm
As a filipino, I could say that besides being a great athlete, he always made it a point that this was not only for the money but it was also for national pride. It did lift our morale. He also always kept humble and unassuming. He is sportsmanship incarnate. Legend has it that whenever he had a fight, the crime rate and the traffic in the Philippines significantly goes down because everyone was just tuned in to watch his game. He will always be a legend.❤
He’s so right. The more we learn about the sport, the more we appreciate Pacquiao’s boxing. His greatness will only get better with age. I never used to say it, but goddamn… Manny is the #GOAT
@@Regalman Manny lost to Horn, and so was Mayweather to Maidana, and that don't mean sh*t. The fight between them doesn't show the wholeness of their careers. Isolating the fight away from everything (judging the fight alone separate from their accolades and overall career achievements) the decision itself was unclear and shouldn't have come down to be unanimous. A significant fraction of experts viewed the result to be unjust; it should've been a draw or split in favor of the Pacman. And by looking at their overall career accolade, Pacquiao is way more impressive.
@@Regalman yeah, who wins against floyd the runner? don’t know if you even call that boxing. only fights those already out of their prime. Zero means nothing. kept the same sh!t belt
That's why filipino love george kambosos cuz of the way he praises the legend... that's why most of the filipino praises him as well... goodluck you man... go be undesputed make your mark on boxing history...

it's great to read the comments and see how people have embraced Kambosos. The best should fight the best. Looking forward to seeing who he picks for his first title defense.
I’m a proud Aussie and a huge Kambosos fan. Rogan did a fantastic job in this conversation of letting George show himself and who he is to the world and his fans. Great episode.
Manny was like MJ in his level of energy & drive. Those guys, based on testimony from their top level peers, just had another gear that even the best in the world don't have.
I agree. They are one of the most entertaining athletes in the whole world. Brings so much energy and skills. You'd never ask for a refund when you buy a ticket to watch them
I'm a real big fan of Kambosos not only as a fighter but as a person his humility and dedication to the sport wish him best of luck for his future in the sport cant wait for his next fight.
Been a huge fan of George for years. Messaged him a few times and he always replied. I told him I’d be at the Horne fight with my son and he messaged back asking where we were sitting and he’d come say hello! I honestly thought he was just being polite. But sure enough we’re sitting there and George walks up and introduces himself. We were blown away! He chatted with us, signed my sons gloves took some photos and told my son he’d love to train with him if he ever comes to Sydney! Then when we were leaving late after the fight George was still there chatting with fans etc. I said to my son look at George still here signing autographs and chatting with the fans! He’s going to be world champion 🤙🥊❤️
@@earnwithhearn32 100% James. George was one of the first boxers to really use his Instagram for his fans. He’d be running at 4am, training at the gym, doing laps at the pool, recovery etc and filming the whole thing for his fans. He’d be telling his fans exactly what he was doing and you were right there with him. I’ve never seen that before. Way before he was famous. If you messaged him he’d always message straight back. I can honestly tell you after we spent some time with him there was definitely an energy about him. It’s hard to put your finger on it but there was just something very special about him. You just knew he was going all the way. Those gloves George signed are now my sons most prized possession. 🤙🥊❤️
I'm gonna follow him myself now. I didn't know much about him till recently as I don't keep update like I used too. Due to big fights not being made and so forth I used to be a real die hard fan. I've seen that he also beat Lee Selby a fighter with tremendous skill and one of my favourite fighters from England. I think he will be a champion along time just from his mentality and the way he carries himself.
@@earnwithhearn32 definitely one to follow James. He’s taken super risky fight against world class opponents in their home towns and won for his entire career.
maintaining the zero is hard. but man coming back from defeats specially being knocked out cold is waaay harder. just imsgine mannys mentality. only the greatest warriors can do that.
Great episode, mountain running would explain alot. Many knee and back injuries start with poor calf development. Total legend up there at Tyson level for sure.
That is why Manny is always preaching that if you train hard, the fight will be relatively easy. The fight is 12 rounds but he is doing 24-36 rounds per sparring, that is why even if the fights goes the full 12 rounds, he aint gassed.
@@user-jw2yu7xm4p I disagree, stamina can be built through intense training. Unless you have health condition that will prevent you from performing strenuous tasks. You're confusing skills from stamina. Having stamina is not a skill, it's a result.
I liked the way he explained the difference between the ufc and boxing. The stereotype in boxing which is the "0" loss record coz many boxing fans (mostly haters) like to shit on Pac for his 8 losses, half of which are arguably controversial. Anyways, happy for you George, best of luck!
Manny is not just a great fighter. He is a man of good character, humility and both foot on the ground since day 1. He fights his fights in the ring while being respectful to both his opponent and the sport. Just overall a respectable and genuine human being.
I live in the Mountains of Phillipines and I see people all around me who are elite athletes from just surviving in the Mountains here. I've seen women carry 20kg. bags of rice carried on their heads for several kilometers uphill all the way in rough terrain and make it look easy. People have no idea.
Yeah bro we do the exact same thing here in Mountain Arayat, We carry 60kg bags of rice allday in each side of the shoulders downhill going uphill and with a super hot sunny weather, Its not easy but its our way of surviving too
...and he won his next three fights via KO/TKO after he sparred with him and remained undefeated right now. That's what 250 sparring rounds with a legend does to you.
