I would send Ben Simmons straight to the G-League for the season and have him only shoot 3 pointers and work on free throws. I’m not trading him if the value is not equal.
What is his value? The problem he's worthless at this point.. it's one thing to be a good player and express defiance but it's another to buck against an organization when you have unfinished business. What value can you get for a guy scared to compete in the playoffs? Right now, the league is full of guards that can shoot better than Ben Simmons at half the cost.
@@playoffp7452 the next year after they traded jimmy they was only one magical kahwi shot away from the finals. Try again. So the question at hand since you wanna ignore it. What was the 76ers before Ben Simmons? I'll keep waiting
I still don't understand why so many people are actually defending Benny like he didn't have a couple years to develop his game. Then he wants to play victim like he wasnt shooting terribly at the free throw line for a PG. Idk, it just doesn't make any sense🤷🏾♂️😂
@@derrickmason7457 that still doesnt' excuse unprofessional behavior. NOthing wrong about criticism. He knows he needs to play better. The second any kind of adversity and he wants to dip? He's soft.
Im 41. I think back to some mistakes i made in my 20s and the worst is u can never go back in time and change them or be young again. Ben will kick himself over this one day
Mmmm a little different 😂 AD did this after balling out and still coming up short of the playoffs or getting bounced first round. Ben played the worst basketball in the playoffs I have ever seen from a so called superstar and now wants to run
Isn’t it obvious that he’s suffering from severe anxiety he can’t shoot jump shots in games and the people that were supposed to be supporting him lamed him for the team’s failure. And as a result he didn’t want to be in that environment anymore and now he’s forced to work there. He’s not prepared to deal with the people in that town and interacting with his teammates knowing how they feel about him.
@@algretatum5045 And AD only had like 1 1/2 years left in his contract. And he was bound to get Super Max extension which he refused it in the process.
I think when Darryl Morley said this could go for years Ben started to regret not taking jump shots. 😆 that's when he knew he lost his whole confrontation.
@The Medical Enthusiast Your mistake is assuming Simmons ever grows up and actually becomes a man. The day you learn to take responsibility for your own failures is the day you take that FIRST STEP towards becoming a man - or, woman as opposed to girl... gotta keep it PC ;) Think about it, MARKELLE FULTZ has evolved his game more than Ben Simmons. Fultz came in with an undiagnosed injury, was told it was all in his head and was FINALLY diagnosed and treated. Now he's back on the floor and is a steady part of Orlando's rotation after adjusting his game. Admittedly, this IS Orlando we're talking about but still, Markelle Fultz has put in WORK to get himself back on the floor. Ben Simmons has had one year MORE in the league, NO long-term injury issues and LESS evolution in his game... Much like my view towards Kyrie, Ben Simmons gets Z E R O slack.

My question is this: what happens if Simmons finally decides to play and does horrible whether on purpose or because his teammates/ fanbase can't stand him. Do the sixers sue him for services not rendered?
That makes sense, but what if he just plays bad because of the situation. Like it is really hard to play good ball if your teammates hate you. Not saying that they all can't be professional and play thru it but what happens if it he just plays bad.
@@crazynumbers7235 do you need to live somewhere to understand the sentiment? Watch videos of philly fans after game 7 of last season. They didn’t like this guys since last season, you think this situation made things better?
Let's be completely honest .... Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid were NEVER suppose to be on the same team ... this is karma for all them years the Sixers tanked ... trying to tank all them years for high draft picks..... they deserve it honestly
@@lxvishbeatz money doesn't stop people from getting their feelings hurt. Heck rich people have committed suicide; lots of money just means you don't have to worry about basic necessities. It does nothing for actual happiness.
His options is forfeit and give back money to get out of contract to get waived or stay keep being disruption take fines and make it so no top player would come to this team seeing how they handled this!
Man bens first game back in Philly this might reach lebrons first game back in Cleveland levels of boo's lol Edit: meant to say Cleveland instead of Miami
That half doesn’t get max deals.. but you’re not wrong.. Philly wasn’t trying to get rid of Ben Simmons.. they were trying to GET James harden.. two very different things.. I would think even Ben would want to dunk uncontested for the lead in a game 7 situation.. right?
Ingram, jaylon brown, Jamal murray, dejaunte Murray, caris lavert, sabonis, Malik Beasley, pascal, buddy, korkmaz, all improved , and they are in the same draft as Ben . While also being picced below him . But you are making excuses as to why he didn’t improve .
The problem is that he's regressing, particularly in the playoffs. His free throw shooting percentage is going down as well as his shot attempts. Admittedly his defense has improved, which makes you wonder why he can't improve the other aspects of his game?
Media is giving the sixers organization a pass in this…. The sixers will regret trading Ben Simmons in a few years and they will have nothing to show for all of the top 3 draft picks they’ve had over the past 7 or 8 years.
You’re crazy lol I’ve NEVER thrown out trash, and then chased the truck down the street! Lol he won’t try to get better, he sucks, bad for the locker room, scared to shoot in the 4th quarter against Hawks for the last 4 games. And a contract of $177, dead weight
So a 24 year old who is 3x all star and has an 1st Team all defense selection sucks? He also, has career averages of 16pts, 8 rebs, 8 assists, and 2stls. I would take him as the number 2 guy on my team in heartbeat.. If the sixers knew how to scout/draft they would have a stacked team.. Ohh, and he’s actually not injury prone like Embied who hasn’t played in more than 55 games in one season his entire career.
This is who Ben Simmons is. STOP BABYING THIS GROWN MAN. The organization bent over backwards for him for 5 years. So much so that it cost Brett Brown his job and the revolving door of players had to change their own game to accommodate his. No. Enough is enough. Doc Rivers defended Ben Simmons ad nauseam the ENTIRE season even when it was unwarranted. Joel Embiid during his entire time in Philly had to adhere to Ben Simmons even though Embiid is clearly the better player. Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle were ALSO in those trade discussions with Houston and they haven't complained one bit. Ben Simmons had excuse after excuse. Earlier in the season I think someone from the the Athletic asked Ben "Hey, have you been working on you jumper?"...Ben replied "I'm an All Star so why does it matter". Post-game after the loss to the Hawks someone else I believe from PhillyVoice asked Ben "You had no shot attempts and no points in the 4th quarter of multiple games in this series what do you have to say about that" Ben replied "How many assists did I have?" He followed that up with "Well what did Trae Young shoot?" He has been coddled for years even before when he was in LSU. He needs to man up and play his way out. If he did he would be gone by January.
I don’t think it has anything to do with the fans, to be honest. He doesn’t want to play for Doc. He doesn’t like embid but I think he’d still hoop with him if there were a different coach.
The Brett Brown firing was premature and not well thought out. Ben loved Brett Brown and so did Embiid. The team just blamed everything on the coach because it’s the easiest way.
How do we believe that a player that has played in a place for 4 of 5 years is scared to go play? If the fans are threatening his life that is one thing, but boos🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ a few curse words? It would be different if Ben was new to Philly, and he hadn’t dealt with this before. But scared is hard for me to believe
An elite NBA player, who is a great player other than his glaring weaknesses on offense, can't handle the pressure of his weaknesses being put under the microscope, and the pressure of failing. This is unheard of in the NBA. What sucker NBA team would take the colossal risk of aquiring such a player? Remember, this is supposed to be an ELITE player. Unbelievable.
It’s crazy how he said they’re not trading Ben Simmons for a Role player, They want a super star 🌟 is Basically what he said.. But what is Kobe, Michael Jordan, Or Kawhi Leonard without a Midrange or 3pt shot? They’re Tony Allen(no Disrespect) Just extra good role players Not Super Stars 🌟 I think the value of Ben Simmons in the Sixers mind is a lot higher than he actually is..
Aha!! There it is- this was Rich Paul’s plan. Ben Simmons is going to appeal to get all his money back by citing health reasons- thus forcing Philadelphia to PAY HIM while he sits. This is the only way to get him traded ASAP.
Yes he’s scared to face Philly first and it seems he wants to play on the road first then hopefully get a few wins under his belt and the fans will go easier on him.
This is more proof that ESPN just wants to keep the drama going. She starts off saying here's your daily update of Ben Simmons. That story needs to be on the back burner by now.
Trade value is at an all time low. Simmons sets the all time NBA record for lowest playoff free-throw percentage. Simmons does not take a fourth quarter shot in the last three games in their loss to the Hawks in the playoffs. Then instead of coming back with fire in the belly, his attitude is not team oriented and not oriented towards self-improvement.
All this negative criticism and attention is a lot to deal with. I feel for Ben regardless of whether he is right or wrong. I hope he gets through this.
Nobody is scared of fans…how is that even a narrative? Like, seriously? Scared of the fans? Just stop. He wants out of the organization. It’s not a good fit
What was Ben Simmons doing the offseason ? After the playoff flameout against the Hawks everyone hoped or assumed Ben Simmons would be working extra hard on developing a mid range game / 3 point shot.
Its not even that Simmons shot bad its that he doesn’t try to get better or attempt a jumpshot to keep the defense honest. He’s had a greenlight for years.
So if you only going to look at the players... People forget The Clippers offered Blake Grif the max and traded him at the first opportunity after telling him he was the man the future etc
If Ben Simmons walks into that stadium in street clothes, God bless his soul. The boos of all the ghosts of Halloween will come a week early and they will be loud enough to awake the dead.
As long as his life’s not in danger and the security handles FANs so there isn’t another malice in the palace situation…Ben should just hoop and get on with his life. Boos and words aren’t worth it
The fuk. 4 years. By then ain’t nobody gone want him and his contract gonna expire 💀 Dude doesn’t know what he’s doing. He’s tryna make an example outta Ben Simmons and is going about it the complete wrong way 👀
I’m with 76ers 100 percent but Daryl Morey, Doc rivers and Joel Embiid needs to sit down with ben simmons and have a heart to heart talk. Maybe all parties can even apologize for words and lazy attitude. both sides get everything off they chest and move on. Hopefully Ben can change his approach for this season and prove he’s a top player in the game but if he’s doing all this and still has not gotten better or become of a more aggressive player and fix his woes than it’s gonna be a embarrassing 21-22 season.
His coach was suppose to stay positive... His coach should have said he’ll yes I feel we can win a championship with Ben Simmons.. we gonna build his confidence in letting that shot fly...
Doc bent over backwards more than anyone else would or should allllll season long to defend Ben.. one statement that could be interpreted as criticism and he’s out? Especially after he knows he could’ve been better? That’s just odd to me..
@@jonasferreira8271 well not when he's under the kind of contract he's on. And in all other jobs you don't trade jobs..you quit and find a new job..well he could decide to quite balling if he wishes

Ben will not be favored by other players post new CBA. And, we Philly fans love what Daryl Morley did yesterday. That's called leverage, he's telling everyone that Ben Simmons has no leverage. He knows he has the support of the ownership, fan base and team.
