I disagree with Stephen A. on the highlight moment. The amount stewart was bleeding also would have caused crazy highlight reels added to the fact that it was lebron who did it. People would be calling for Lebron's head if stewart didn't act that way, but Lebron literally slit his face open like a UFC match. If Stewart Knocked out Lebron in that moment he would have been in his legal right, Lebron literally assaulted him.

I think LeBron's elbow swing was just a statement of being frustrated with Stewart way of boxing out. He wanted a result but not the one that he got hence his immediate remorse when Stewart came down. That being said, there was still intent to send a message though violence. Unfortunately it did more damage than what seems was intended.

LeBron was 100% wrong for that. That elbow was intentional and he deserves to be suspended at least two games. But Isaiah Stewart was out of pocket to react and rage like that. It might have been exciting and enjoyable to certain fans, but it's a nightmare for the NBA and their image and reputation. The fact that this was at Detroit and is reminding people of The Malice at the Palace adds to it. I wouldn't be surprised if Stewart got suspended for more games than LeBron. Understanding our current society, I would say he gets suspended 5 games.

Someone cracked me in the eye once on accident. It's weird, this flash happens and next thing you know blood is just streaming and all you see is red. I immediately came up swinging and I'm a chill dude but it took someone grabbing me and pulling me back to calm down. I still think he should be suspended for running people over though. My wrestling team had this thing where we'd sneak up on each other and land a body shot as a joke, one time I got it while bent over picking up my books and I cracked my orbital bone on the corner of a desk. You just snap like a fight or flight response and it takes a second for that adrenaline to dissipate and calm down. Isiah didn't start hot and then calm down, he escalated. LeBron should obviously be suspended. What he did was completely unacceptable but he's not a dirty player and honestly I chalk it up to a bad day or whatever.

Stewart reaction might have been "too far" but lets be real, most of us would have reacted in a similar way. We all get heated when someone hits us hard enough to draw blood. if this had happen at the park, the Y, or 24hr fitness. a fight would have happened. Not saying it was right for Stewart to do that. But all he did was have a normal human reaction to the situation.

That was a slap, if you pay close attention in 5:27. His hand was opened and his elbow would've never reached Isaiah's face. Eyebrows are so easy to bleed with any type of contact, so all the blood is what made this whole scene out of proportion.
