On June 29th, philosopher and author Stephen Hicks joined Merion West editor-in-chief Erich Prince to preview his upcoming book project on education. Dr. Hicks, who is Canadian and holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington, is a professor at Rockford University in Illinois and has authored five books. During their conversation, Dr. Hicks and Mr. Prince discuss the varying philosophical approaches to education, the stigma associated with education geared toward practicality, and new business models in education and how they provide alternatives to the status quo, particularly when it comes to higher education.
