Without a chip, Jason Kidd is above him. Kidd led a 26-win Nets team to 2x Finals in his first seasons with them. CP3 hasn't even been to the Finals yet. At 37, Kidd transformed himself into 3-point shooter and helped the Mavs win a championship vs the Heat superteam. Internationally, Kidd has more FIBA golds than CP3.

Bro I am a mavs fan and absolutely love Steve nash and no he does not belong on a top 5 pg list. Same with Stockton, he lost to Jordan with Karl Malone on his team. I know Jordan is great but isiah beat him a couple times. Stockton is a great player and is top 10 but you have to cut off somewhere and he does not beat any of these guys.

Nah Centers are, all the other 4 positions at the very least have consensus "greatest" (Magic for PG, Jordan for SG, Lebron for SF, Timmy for PF) but when I say someone like Hakeem is the greates Center of all time, people will compare him with guys like Shaq, Wilt, Russell etc.

Stockton shot the ball well, he leads the league in assists and steals which may never be broken, especially the assists category, in my opinion, Stockton is in the top 5 list. Other notable mentions: Jason Kidd, Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving and Derrick Rose (if he wasn't injured) would have been in that discussion.

Scorer: CP3 Pure Playmaker: CP3 Defense: Equal Leadership: CP3 Handles:CP3 Stockton has had the benefit playing alongside the #2 all-time scorer in Karl Malone, which is why his assist total is so inflated.. Stockton would be #6 for me and then Nash #7..

It's why he said "If CP3 wins a championship..." Why would you have those others who also don't have a championship? Stockton had Malone next to him for a very long career. Meanwhile, Paul has had 5 different teams playing very well (respective to their talent at the time).

Stockton isn't as great as y'all like to make him out to be. He played eith Malone his entire career and couldn't be a great enough 2nd star to win a title. Put any one of the top 5 pgs on this list with Malone and they lkely win at least 1 title. Some win at least 2. Stockton's great, but he's not in the top 5.

@@J-Hue you give CP3 with Malone and they still lose to Jordan. Stockton has been to the finals twice back to back against that team. All time assist and steals playing in the 90s which is much toucher than the cupcake eras Chris Paul has played in. Yes I know the list is ‘if he gets a ring’ but its flawed in design, lists are done in real time. Even as it stands now today 6/9/21 CP3 doesn’t come close to Stockton. Our opinions will differ so you can take the last words.

@dune goon don’t usually reply to casuals but I had to this time. CP3 is probably the most willing small defender in the league next to Kyle Lowry. Just cause his numbers aren’t amazing doesn’t mean he isn’t playing great defense.

It took Stockton years to get to the Finals and that was mainly down to poor late game execution. For CP3, it was always facing a better team, injuries, or his teammates not helping him enough.
