Wildest finishes in football history*** .. also in my opinion “the play”(#3 on the list) is the best ever finish.. everything about that play, the band on the field, the laterals, everything, is what makes that the greatest finish of all time

Stephen A's list is good. Kimberley and Dan don't seem to get what a wild finish is. 28-3 didn't happen super quickly, it was a prolonged event. Ray Allen's shot was a great play and shot. Wild is an unexpected intercetion at the goal line by an unknown player.

Doug Flutie’s Hail Mary against Miami in 1984. Dan Marino’s fake spike against the Jets in 1994. Roger Staubach’s pass to Drew Pearson against the Vikings in 1975 that coined the term Hail Mary. In the 1992 NCAA tournament, Grant Hill throwing a 3/4 court pass to Christian Laettner, who made a shot at the buzzer. And just for sheer controversy, the Soviet Union basketball team scoring at the buzzer against the US in the 1972 Olympics.

I had friends at that game who cheer Roll Tide and they were beside themselves. They know to this day that I detest Bama, I’m Geaux Tigers, so it took everything in me to not rub their faces in it. They said they just stood there after that play and their jaws were on the ground. And damnit Stephen A, you had to put that evil play as number one. 28-3 is WILD but not really a single moment. But if this was about a wild series of events and moments, the 5 that sticks in my head: 5. Kawhi Leonard Buzzer Beater vs 76ers to send Toronto to the Finals in game 7. As a buzzer beater, it almost couldn’t be scripted any better than that. 4. Immaculate Reception always deserves a spot on any list. It just is what it is. 3. Marshawn Lynch Beastquake. You just gotta watch it. 2. 28-3 was actually very wild because I rarely ever see a team collapse THAT badly in any sport, and they did it in the championship. 1. Malcolm Butler interception aka not running the ball with Marshawn Lynch. Everyone feels that to this day, even non-Seahawks fans. Hearing Lynch talk about having a moment a boy like him spends time daydreaming about in his childhood with a football in hand was felt.
