Exceptional clarity in thinking and communicating a very difficult subject for the understanding of a common man. Swmiji's spread of knowledge and understanding is amazing. Swamiji is doing a great service to humanity by simplyfying the subject of Vedanta and connecting it to other thoughts or claims. Thanks to his great efforts.
🤯 I have heard this story in Sri Ramana Maharshi stories and others and I love how you use it here! You are a powerful speaker, and your energy as a teacher vibrates off the screen! I am so grateful that I have access to this knowledge and connection here in DFW! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is hidden treasure every human being should listen to this and get to know what is the real nature of us thanks to Swamiji you always made us speechless with your wonderful speech thank you so much.jai shriramkrishna🙏🏼🧡💐
Thankyou Swami. When I found my spiritual journey, I saw a lot of your videos and it made sense to me. I understand it. It is a different kind of satisfaction that I get. I am forever grateful for your videos I can access. I am a busy student but I find time for your videos. Your description of the Maya and the connections you bring with science (relativity, uncertainty, etc), really spoke to me. I am a physics student and I have been searching for God but you made me realize it in such a beautiful way. Thankyou Swami. I am forever grateful.
That state is nirvikalpa sahadja samadi.Only awareness remains.Sences are not working.Ramana was often in that states for hours.Well done sir.My deepest respect.
Thank you very much for your great explanation and clarification. my question is if self realization is enlightenment, then what about Samadhi , oneness and nirvana ? are them further upcoming stages ? or they instantly will come along with self realization ?
I can come up to identifying in me that what is aware or that in me that is doing all the watching ...but i cannot get to " I am that itself" ...how to get to that?
You are aware of your foot. Good (?) Then you are aware of the ceiling. Good (?) Then you are aware of awareness. More difficult but good(?) *You are the awareness that identifies.* _Now compare to your computer desktop._ You click on a folder. Good (?) Then you click on a link. Good (?) Then you click on an image. Good (?) *You are the cursor that clicks.*
Swami, Thanks for your clear explanation, as usual! Getting what you have said intellectually (after having heard similar things, from Yourself & many others & readings) looks fine. But, getting it as an experience seems very far. When some thoughts, emotions, appear all the learning doesn't seem to be in experience. Perhaps, there is some practice (sadhana) which is required to experience (at least a tinge of Atman) => be the Turiyam for some time at least. Otherwise every thing seems to be just another story or documentary, which we have understood, but are not experiencing it. Please let us know any specific practice/sadhana which can be pursued for this? (I'm sure, everyone listening to you are doing some form of Yoga)
Hello, I don’t know if it resonates with you or even makes sense, but here is what I have been doing and it has been helping me a lot to “experience” the divine, not completely but sometimes I experience the glimpse. So, here is what I do, ( in terms of yoga I only do Meditation) I ask myself a simple question in my head and sometimes aloud, for eg, who am I? And let the question be there in my mind and I genuinely wonder. I don’t try to find any answers, look for any answers (usually when you have a question, our mind immediately starts looking for answers, if that is happening I quit it immediately) And I have come to realise it that sooner or later, I experience an event (and of course when the event is taking place I don’t think about it) but only later I realise that, omg! I just got my answer and in terms of experience. These type of “experiences” has occurred a lot with me and after listening to Swami and other Enlightened beings, and generally, I am a seeker in life, the only explanation I can come up with is that, if I am God/Consciousness itself then who better to ask then me myself. The trick is not to obsess about trying to search for an answer or experience, (at least for me). I simply ask and wonder and most of time I have experienced. I hope I made sense and Good Luck!
@@madafakaaaaaaaaa You are wrong. In absolute Brahman there is non-duality which mean you cannot do anything but to be. It's like saying, "Brahman is beyond light. Light and darkness is a mental construct happening in the dual world". But that is wrong. Brahman is all about light. In fact there is only light there, beyond all darkness". You are speaking from speculations about what is non-dualit and duality. In Brahman you are consciousness. But following you logic then it would be beyond consciousness because consciousness and non-consciousness belongs to duality. This is a big error. In Brahman is all about consciousness, its all about light, its all about knowledge, its all about ecstasy, its all about love, its all about reality, its all about oneness and is all about inactivity and so on. You can find its opposite in all these, but you would rather speculate it is beyond all these. You are saying this as one never attained absolute Brahman. I can tell. You're just guessing.
I can tell you like this. Absolute Brahman is about oneness. It means that you cannot be active because it requires one to shift from one thing to another which is forbidden in Brahman. That because Brahman can only be one without a second. But! If you would try to do something then you would be sent back to your body and mind where it is allowed to do more than only being one. So, as soon we want to be active we are losing our place in the absolute Brahman. That is how we can come back to our body again - to desire to be active from our inactive state. The whole meditation is about to extinguish all our desires (to be inactive) until we finally reach absolute Brahman in a 100% inactivity, beyond body and mind in a non dual state were all focus is between the left and right side, with other words in its center. That's how we collapse the duality. I'm speaking from my own experience of the absolute Brahman.
What is opposite of non-duality - it is... DUALITY! You see! Duality is more about reasoning and non-duality about feelings. Non-duality is beyond all reasoning. This is what you have to understand.
If you need a good example of devotion in advaita read arunachala shiva by Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. As you self-investigate more and more, what is written will become clearer. Bhakti is the mother of Jana.
Self realization happens when we transcend, when we experience our pure being (turya state). When the experience of pure being is never lost, we realized our Atman. That is cosmic consciousness. You can do that very easily and effortlessly by practicing Transcendental Meditation. It is a natural systematic process and very safe and fast one.
"Self-realization", nirvana, personal happiness. "I", me-me-me. I'm the same way, I wanna be happy - but in a world were billions suffer because of starvation, sex-trade, slavery, torture, war, human trafficking -- etc., what matters is MY personal happiness?
Seeing clearly naturally causes one to be happy, and it can only benefit the world. You are not acquiring happiness to the exclusion of others. Your soul is simply flowering as expected. A rose doesn’t hold off flowering until all the problems of the world are fixed. This flowering, the fulfillment of your expression, is the only place from which anyone can truly help anyone else.
@@bulletproofmofo You have to tell this to the people tat SUFFER; Tell a chid been used in the sex trade that "a rose do not flower... until all the problems... are solved". That's very pretty, sound so nice. But then so WHAT... We are selfish beings, and that do not coincide with the teachings of gurus and spiritual monks. We want our personal nirvana, our happyness. Monks or no monks, today 20,000 children will die of starvation.
@@Elaphe472 Agreed. Those suffering are those who have the highest desire and need for transcendence. We need more real love in the world, not less. More truth, not less. Less sitting on our hands, remaining committed to our own helplessness. We need less fidelity for our own capacities, more surrender to Brahman, the root force of all changes. To the degree we are convinced we're separate from this, we suffer. And we cannot help transmute suffering if we cannot even escape the trap ourselves.
You teach Self outside india .modi regularly visiter of rkmission still after ram when he existed no real proof If you talk Self in facebook soon hindutwa would send prostute to make Him krishna .our PmO want only human born god .they r lies only .ram krishna siva no one found yet .
