the online manual is extremely confusing. The legend keys that label each part in the board conflict with the instructions. For instance, (c) 10 pin is identified as the 3 pin.

"line" out meaning (line level?) that you can connect the 1/4" outputs to regular guitar pedals without having to attenuate the signal?

At full unattenuated volume it will actually output eurorack level. Line level can be achieved at approximately the 10 o'clock position of the knob.

Any possibility that the headphones out 1U can be connected to the audio I/O 1U in a similar fashion?

No, this is not possible. Audio IO was made before Intellijel started utilizing the rear LINK headers.

Can I use this module with my Palette case and use a Y-cable on the built in outputs to drive headphones or will it be bad for the headphones? I hate that Intellijel makes us choose between this and the 1u Headphone cause I certainly don't have room for both! Would gladly pay more for a module that did both!

You mean a Y-cable with a female end to connect headphones? That's a good idea! It wouldn't damage the headphones and should work fine.

@@ScottMFR Yeah! It might have some impedance issues, since headphones have way lower impedance than live level inputs typically do. I might end up trying to solder a 3-pin cable to my 1u Headphone so I can duplicate those signals on the Palette's output.

@@BeniRoseMusic I don't see there being any serious issue from the difference in impedance. It just might affect the tone and volume slightly, but it should be fine for monitoring.
