I really like old Steve Earl singing his young Steve Earl songs. It seems to bring a whole new interpretation. I saw him in concert at a casino a few years ago. Full energy through the concert and stayed to sign autographs for hours until the last fan passed by. That made the man my hero.
I knew of Steve Earle from Copperhead Road, kind of forgot about him over the years. My sister took me to one of his shows about 15 years ago, been hooked ever since. Can't believe all the years I missed out on listening to him.
Is that his original band if so man how time changes us, I remember this song when it first came out I was on the night shift and I heard Guitar Town on the radio, one of the best guitar intros and riffs ever done, I was thinking great song all around, Steve Earl one of the best non traditional country musicians around, like Willie and Waylon he bucks the traditional establishment even though a lot of Nashvilles music these days isn't what I call traditional.
