@Jarrel Ely I love R. Kelly. I don't care what he did. He ain't rape no one in my family. Plus it ain't our business what that man does in his bedroom. Just like it's not his business what I do in mine. If R. Kelly released another album this morning I'd be buying it by the afternoon. R. Kelly forever!!!!!
Most importantly he stated: "music reminds us of a special place, and a special time." Some day you may want to say to your children, "Wow, that was a song your mother and I enjoyed together."
I like that it was a young audience, and while Steve wasn't singing one of their biggest hits, he was singing one of their best songs to the real EWF fans, and I love that this audience knew it and exactly what the harmony was.
People will never get why Steve acted the way that he did during the Verzuz. He has been a fan for decades and worked with both groups. People are used to someone a committee brought that tends to not be a fan and is just doing their job. When a real fan that has ties to both acts host, this is the way to do it.
Man Steve Harvey is Great do you know how hard it is to be funny constantly without using the same material over and over I bet you couldn’t that man has been great for 30 years plus so stop with the subtle hate
Roger James No doubt. Old skool '70s is the very epitome of great Black music. EWF is probably the the greatest universal music that hits the soul, the essence of what it means to be a human being.
Love's Holiday... That's the Way of the World.. Devotion, Cant Hide Love.. After the Love is Gone..c'mon.. I got all their CDs on my phone and its non-stop EWF hits all day evry day!
Steve, I'm with you, man. Earth, Wind & Fire, definitely one of the greatest bands ever in music history! And "Love's Holiday" is my jam, too! I'm 35 years old and I'm old school all the way. That's really all I listen to. This new stuff that comes out is just biting off the wonderful songs of yesterday. Not all, of course, but most of the songs that are out do.
RIP ….Maurice thank you for leaving a part of yourself here with us. Thank you for helping me get through highs and low of my life through your music. I probably own more of this group catalog than any other artist in my music inventory..…Lawd have mercy ! thank you thank you thank you
Steve's speaking straight FACTSSSSSSSSSSSS....everytime it must make you go ooohhh that's my jammmm! 25, 30, 45 years later!!! in other words you got to be a classic!
Sang on Steve!....thank you to the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire for all the memories of your beautiful and timeless music...especially Mr. Maurice White and Mr. Philip Bailey, for leading all of those Badd songs....wheeeew!!!!
Yes that's right - Earth Wind and Fire have stood the test of time and has brought me such memories in my life that I can reflect bck on whenever i listen to it- Steve's exactly right!
Very sorry for the passing of the legendary ICONIC Mr Maurice White.....Grew up with the sound of his, David Bowie's and Glen Frey's music.....Just seemed to be surrounded by special music as a kid...whatever the genre.....They will be missed....Peace.
That's part of the problem with black culture... Pride in ignorance. It's funny when Steve Harvey does it because he's playing on that being funny. EARTH WIND AND FIRE is something to be proud of... You ever hear Phil Bailey use poor grammar? Malcom X, MLK, Muhammad Ali, Obama, Michael Jordan, Spike Lee etc etc those are reasons to be proud not bad grammar. Bad grammar is used as a joke to reflect an old ignorance in the community... It's something that should be abandoned not embraced
To me white people will never understand our music you always got something to say when somebody say it black music Come From the Soul of the ghetto that white people would never know where the heart come from they think it's just music it's more than that
@@lovemyblackpeople1662 Racist much? damn man.. sounds like you know nothing. I'm a white guy and you just seriously and knowingly insulted me, basically discarded my ability to understand and feel what is a huge part of my life and emotional being. I can only hope you are too young to realize what you are saying otherwise I can only feel very sorry for you. I actually have seen this band perform, several times, in the 70s and 80s. I know and understand what they stand for and guess what, your opinion is not a part of any of that. Yeah.. You know nothing and guess what, you are part of the problem because of what you think is right. And it's not "your" music, you do not even understand any of it and you certainly show ignorance of what EWF has brought us over the years.
When I was a junior high back in the 70s early 70s these cats were everywhere cinema at The Forum in Los Angeles gratitude album best live album ever still have it in vinyl
STEVE HAVEY SPOKE THE TRUTH ON THAT ONE! I remember that broadcast, went looking through my collection and...couldn't find LOVERS HOLIDAY, I was a GROWN AS MAN CRYING cause I couldn't find it!...UNTIL THE NEXT DAY!!!!! I have been able to sleep well since then!
Man, Steve is so right with this..damn, I've been reminiscing all night and its 1am here.. everything he mentioned is exactly how I feel about EWF, grew up with them and still the best
That was an excellent introduction. Everything Steve said was true. I was screaming when he said the music takes you back in time and you have that look on your face😅😂. That's so true. This music takes me to my happy place.
Man..Thanks for the upload...I couldn't stop watchin when Steve started singin w/ the crowd...that's what music is all about...sharin the love, baby..Yeah!!!
Congratulations to Earth Wind and Fire!! Also, great job to Steve Harvey for such a fantastic intro speach for EWF. Steve is also a Great Entertainer. He did this with so much Talent of his own. Great job Steve!!

It's 2020. Scotland. Seen this so many times. Steve nails EWF !!! This is timeless. EWF are timeless! I'm 58. My Son loves them. I truly hope his 3 month old Son will hear them at home as he grows and also appreciates their genius.
Love this video!!! Steve Harvey you too have stood the "Tests Of Time"in your own arena of entertainment. I've been watching and listening to you as a comedian for at least 20 years as well. Keep on keeping on my Brother....✌️✌️✌️💪💪💪
