I remember johnny Knoxville was talking to rollins during an interview about it and rollins did not give a shit about steve O and girl he used to bang hahaha
If you go way back to the Henry Rollins show on IFC, he interviews Johnny Knoxville and addresses this. At the time Rollins was under the impression that maybe the film crew were hoping Rollins would start something. Rollins said to Johnny during the interview "Fight someone over a GIRL? No way".
I miss that show! I used to watch all of the new ones when it was on. It was an interesting show. It was sort of set up like a modern podcast but it was years ago.
At least Rollins doesn't threaten to beat up interviewers like Glenn Danzig. Rollins is sincere, humble interesting smart guy and isn't a phony douchebag. He's genuinely angry, but he's really nice
danzigs either nuts or very brave but there is a vid of glenn punchin a guard at a concert doesn't end well i remember niic w a shot gun towards reporters funny love them all
@@guntherbeckman1257 What's up Kurt, Yeah I would love to see him. Man I'm almost 45 and I still hunger for a good concert and a deep mosh pit. Some things never change....well there's my back...lol. But I can't wait for a good concert again. I miss it.
I remember in 1997 Tommy Lee made a guest appearance on SNL the same night that Pamela Anderson (his wife at the time) was hosting the show and Henry Rollins (the Rollins Band) was the musical guest. At the end of the show when everyone stood on stage together to say their goodbyes, you can see Henry eating a banana right next to Tommy and Pamela while they are hugging/kissing. That was when Henry was huge (physically speaking). He started to downsize in the early 2000's and by the late 2000's/early 2010's he had lost over 30 pounds of solid muscle according to Henry (he was over 200 pounds in 1997/1998 and down to 170 pounds after he stopped lifting heavy weights). I've been a fan of his since 1992 (both Black Flag and The Rollins Band, as well as his spoken word shows).
Henry Rollins actually talks about that SNL appearance in his "Smile, You're Traveling" book. He mentioned how he wasn't originally looking forward to being around Tommy and Pamela due to Tommy's junkie antics (Rollins is pretty straight edge) and Pamela's dumb blonde personality, but was surprised to find out that Pamela was actually a lot smarter than he thought she'd be and no where near the what media made her out to be. Quite the interesting read. Also, it's hilarious to think that Henry is just chilling there eating a banana. Wish we could find footage of that nowadays.
@@Hitithardify that right there speaks volumes about henry's character and I don't mean that in a good way. totally up his own ass and delusional about reality. Also, just a negative person in general.
I'm listening to Steve-O's story.....as a crazed thumbnail pic of Rollins sits to my right - entitled *"15 Henry Rollins vs Everyone Moments."* Really sets the mood. Lol.
My father reminds me a couple times a month that he was born in the same year and month as Rollins. Then followed by a FK YEA BUDDY! I dont get it but, yea, Rollins.
You've really got to get everyone's favorite Punk Rock Antihero Henry Rollins on this fantastic show! I'd love to see my two favorite punks have a chat
Henry Rollins spoken word specials are golden, seen them all. Guys workethick is of a madman. He literally couldn't get a family since he is doing something 24/7.
Honestly, taking Steve-o out to shoot the scene and then filming him getting his shit pushed in by Rollins would be a much better bit than the off road tattoo lol.
I interviewed HR in about 2002 ish and he was out of his mind. On his bus, stem sitting right next to him, going on and on about the white man and trying to keep him down and take his family and all this. Whole band just staring the whole time. Kinda scary during. Hilarious after. That dude has done A LOT of drugs.
You should watch the movie He Never Died. It’s about a two thousand year old guy who was in the Bible and can’t die. The part was written for Henry. It’s on Netflix.
Totally see him being non violent now. Henry seems like it’s his life mission to “be a good person” lots of videos/lore of Henry pushing peoples shit back when he was in Black Flag though. After his friend got murdered next to him he seems like he really turned a new leaf.
On his last tour at the key club in Hollywood he looked into my eyes for a few seconds when he was going ape shit pretty awesome moment haha seeing those crazy eyes made my night!
@@gator4458 early 2000s was when howard stern was the absolute funniest and best. Some of the best artie Lange moments happened then, and lots of wack pack gold.
He did for sure, but not very often. He talks about it in his books quite a bit. Mentions a girl that he messes around with for awhile, then it all falls apart due to his extreme work ethic.
Henry Rollins -start talking about your own life, you pump people up, maybe end up inspiring them to make more of theirs. I like hearing that I helped someone get up off his ass and get over his fear, or whatever it might be that kept him from doing something amazing. That’s the best payoff for any of this stuff. In retrospect he help Steve-O get his ass tattooed on bumpy hills in a jeep in the desert 🏜😅
Rollins does actually acknowledge this girl and story on an interview he did with Knoxville - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N-zVLI8bxSc.html
I hate how in the show Sons of Anarchy the rumble they get into with the white supremacists that Henry Rollins character leads he gets his ass beat. In my head I was like "uhhh there's no way he's just going sit there and let that happen."
@@Hashdollars Ain't nothing wrong with a trailer lol. I'd rather get land and put a trailer on it than a nice big house in the suburbs. Or even live in an apartment with people on all sides that you can hear all day and night and who can hear you. Trailers are underrated.
@@coldhands2802 nothing wrong at all with simple things, the person I was replying too was trying big league some celebrity millionaires for recording in a “shack” and in the same sentence says he lives in a trailer.
@@Hashdollars Yeah I get it. My point was that trailers are totally underrated. Idiots get apartments that are smaller and more expensive while they have neighbors that can hear them walk, talk, play music and even have sex..
