Steve is incredible, his talent amazing and his ‘performance’ so enjoyable. Surely does not feel like a performance, but rather true, honest, talent and heart. Man, I am glad we get to watch and hear this. 😲 👍 😊

Steve is so underrated and over looked as an entertainer but he is better than good thanks to miss dottie west for starting his career in country music
1991 was a great and memorable year. I only wish I could re live these wonder times. Driving around in dad's Lumina comes to mind with WQIK playing the best country. Today's country music doesn't hold a candle to what was out then
Another great song that came out in the Fall of 1991! This has always been one of my favorites from Steve Wariner, and I love the sound of the acoustic guitar on it. I still think the I Am Ready album was some of his best work.
What a voice.. what a fenominal song writer! Crazy crazy talented.. i have this on cassette as well 2 other albums by steve.. n im a freakin 70's and 80's hard rock metal head! But... but my granny n papaw, back n the 70s played REAL country music out on the lake in the pontoon boat.. hehaw show in tv so im pritty well rounded in music. I love stuff from slayer to dio.. to Sarah McLaughlin and Diana krall back to Hank sr.. n jr. Disco to pop... i love it all as long as its good music!👍

Such an awesome song. I thought he wrote it, but I was wrong. The writers certainly know how to tell a story. And Steve just sings the heck out of it. I was very surprised to find out that is didn’t reach number 1. I have no idea why because it definitely should’ve.

Love this song! I changed the words a bit & sing it to my husband who used to think I still cared about my ex, so I'd tell him to leave him out of this. I could listen to this over & over! My favorite of his. He did s lot of sentimental stuff; but this is raw emotion. I would never be in this type relationship, but I still csn.relate because I am human. I had a lit. prof. in college who stated that we read so we won't make 5he mistakes of those we read about; same with music, I listen so I won't make those same mistskes. Being with someone who still is in love with a memory...how sad. Yet, too many become involved with someone hanging onto a ghost. YOU deserve better. I will never settle for that.

Very underated singer and my first time hearing this and it's good it reminds me of Alabama's Old Flame..and yes Steve warriner's voice is beautiful and he sort of reminds me of a cross between Vince Gill and Collin Raye's voice and Billy Dean but still very much his own artist but his baritone and style is on the same great caliber of talent as the others I mentioned
