The thing with Gerrard is that he doesn't get attention because he is not fast and stylish. Anyone who has played football, however, can instantly see that this man is the sharpest, most precise midfielder there ever will be, alongside the likes of Zidane. When he gets a pass, he will trap it like it's his baby, and he will pass it (whether through the outside of his foot or through the inside )with terrific, sharp precision. It will reach the recipient's feet like butter. His control, vision, tackling, and commanding midfiled presence are often overlooked because he is so incredible at shooting and attacking. I remember when he was in his 20s -- there was nothing he couldn't do. He could even dribble past players from the wing at that age. What a guy!
