@@jamescc2010 ,, hello James 🙋‍♂️, if you take a look at all the costs involved to open up your own shop, buy all the tools, pay electricity, utilities, waste disposal, license fees, property taxes, labor and industries, marketing, insurance and all other business expenses to get started,, it actually would make more sense to rent a hoist for $50 an hour and do this as a side job as extra income on the side. If you charge $150 an hour to work on a car, with a hoist rental at $50,,, you're making $100 an hour plus the money you make on the parts makeup. The hard part is finding a local shop that will let you rent a hoist all day at 50 bucks an hour. I wish you the best 🙏🤙👍

Hello and thank you for watching 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️. I just went to Google Maps to see if there were any self-serve garages anywhere in the West Coast. I looked in Portland San Francisco and Los Angeles and I'm not having any luck finding any. It seems to me this is an excellent business opportunity in other parts of the United States and the world. I did talk to the owner at “Stews Garage” and this business has always been his dream to have a “Be your own mechanic repair shop”. I view this business as an almost zero risk. All you must worry about is supplying the tools, clean shop, and make $50 an hour per hoist. This is better because I have been in this business since 1985. I used to manage a automotive repair shop. So by letting others work on their own car, it is NOT you’re your problem if the car is not fixed or the check engine light is “still on’…. I’ve delt with plenty of bitchy whiny customer of the past and this is the perfect idea. This location has 13 hoists, so I think if it was busy you could actually make some pretty good money per day after all expenses. 👍😊

@@MotoTouringWorldWide There is at least one in LOs Angeles, just search yelp. I believe their like 60-80 per hourly rent. I agree customers are cheap and will bitch on little thing like you owe them something and have to please them.

Hello Kelvin. Thank you for watching. It is a great business. I feel VERY lucky to have Stew's garage only 15 minutes away. I've been working on cars as a career since 1985. I'm now corporate without a repair shop or hoist to use. Stew's Self service garage provides me everything I need to perform and maintain my vehicles like I "used to". If the dealer would have replaced motor mounts, I'd be out around $1100. My cost for the parts was $290 and then I rented the hoist for 3 hours. "Bargain" for sure!! Plus I'm OCD and I take the extra time to perform the job correctly. LOL 😊🤙

On my other video (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5I2u96rDoig.html) you see more extensive views and tools I needed to perform the work on my Benz. When you go to Stew's website, you'll see $20 to rent the hoist for Oil changes or $50 and hour to rent per hour. I've used Stew's 4 times now and love the staff, I love the concept (genius idea) and love working on my own car in a safe environment with all the basic tools needed. Plus I do NOT have to worry about the waist oil or buying the equipment and pumps to service my transmission. A hoist is the only way to go versus trying at home for sure. 😊🤙
