While WaW is my all-time favorite WW2 FPS shooter, I always thought their gun sounds were weak. I know it's more realistic and natural, but I prefer the fake "in your face" sounds.

For all you people... the stg44 is NOT the father of assault rifles and the AK is NOT a copy of the stg44. The stg 44 wasn't even the first automatic rifle to use an intermediate cartridge. it wasn't even the first assault rifle....

Correction first successfully mass produced assault rifles second, this should have a lower recoil, ive seen rhe it works and its insides, the recoil sprung is long and goes into the stock, and to its length, it absorbs recpil pretty well

And it IS the MKB 42 in Red Orchestra 2. You can tell them apart by the piston tube atop the barrel, the STG's is shorter, and MKB has it as long as the barrel itself.

Dude, the ak and the stg were not very similar, if anything, the only similarities are aesthetics and similar bullet size, otherwise, they're basically distant half-cousins who never meet. It's like comparing a chimp to a human, some similarities, but very few. Russians embraced the idea of an assault rifle, if you are implying that the stg was the basis for the ak-47, you couldn't be more wrong.
