I don’t even remotely know why it is nor agree with you at any level however at the same time i completely agree with you, that’s a spot on observation
Just in case people didn’t know the reference. This is a saying that’s said in Alcoholics Anonymous. I assume one of the writers is in AA as there are lots of little TidBITS from AA in Peep Show.
Supposed to take 30 minutes i'm done in 5, stick that up your dojo. The hilarity of a meditation practice being boiled down to a competition of who can finish quickest is prime character writing.
Lol. I literally experienced this at my last job when we met our client's new team of financial consultants. Massive downsizing, cost cutting and re-branding, and then wondered why the business was failing faster than ever.
God how I love this character. And the thing is, I knew guys like Johnson. Arrogant, cocky, self-assured....ordinarily the kind of guy you'd want to throw down the elevator shaft after everyone had left the office...but there was something about him you just had to like.
Johnson's performance in the cark park on the milk crate should make any highlights package. If only because he forever changed the pronounciation of Fwonkfwort
I randomly heard "Fwonkfwort" in my head just now and I came here just to see it written. Thank you for your work! For me, Frankfurt will now forever be Fwonkfwort.
The way Johnson glides into the chair after doing Tai Chi gets me everytime....and the fact that he manages to to do 45 minutes of it in 10 minutes hahaha
07:25 You will not be informed of the meaning of project Zeus until the time is right for you to know the meaning of project Zeus..... *pauses a few seconds for dramatic effect* Ok, now is the time for you to know the meaning of project Zeus
No they are characters that are brilliant as zany supporting characters but would be boring as leads. They both shine because of the contrast with the "normal blokes" Mark and Jez. Like how Jack Black was a brilliant support in High Fidelity but then his career doing the same thing as a lead has been shit.
@@NotQuiteFirst Yeah I agree. Both excellent chracters that you feel like just can't get enough of, but they need to be placed around a story, not drive it, bringing shock value alongside the more relatable characters.
"How can I trust you to be my main man in the office? Let alone Frankfurt!...Or *Aberdeen...?" "I've got to go to Aberdeen! I've got the Rough Guide!" The notion of Aberdeen being better than Frankfurt is hilarious enough, but the fact Mark genuinely believes it is even funnier xD
I heard that he decked that guy in the GigaChad meme. That probably makes him a TeraChad, maybe even a PetaChad. I haven't done the maths yet, but we maybe witnessing levels of Chadness way beyond the theoretical limit. Scary and exciting at the same time.
