I’m under 50 and regularly pick up more than my body weight. I use the lightest saw that is big enough for the job. My dewalt 18v top handle gets most of the work for property maintenance. The 346xp, ms290 and ms400 do the big cutting depending how big it is.

Your comment is shallow and reflects a lack of wisdom and understanding. In my 30s I bought a ms441c that weighs almost 15lbs empty and without a bar. Now looking back almost all that I cut could be done with an ms250 or ms261. If you cut 5 cord of firewood a year like I do and do all your own cutting,loading,unloading,splitting,and stacking youd understand that everything you do that wastes energy counts,alot. Power to weight ratio counts,at least to a reasonable extent

@@ciphercode2298 I farm and maintain over 500 acres including 200 of wood lot. Hauled in 250 logs this season alone, if you can’t manage a heavy enough weapon to win the battle then you shouldn’t be in the battle to begin with so pick a lighter saw and do 5 cord, I could do 5 cord in 2 days without sweating. The miss-leading point is not every man cares about comfort, some of us are brutal and work hard and need a tool to do the job regardless of the physical requirements to make it happen. You are soft minded

What you need to have before spending $800 on a Stilh MS 362 chainsaw is a 20 year old Poulan chainsaw that "still" cranks after 20 years. Because the Stilh saw will fail you after 6 months, then after 1 year, 1.5...etc. Stilh having trouble with my MS [POC} 362 after 3 solenoid changes and now have a 2 yr old Stilh setting dead on a table.

If you’re blowing selenoids it sounds like no one bothered to tell you that even if the motor is hot, if you restart it you still have to engage the choke.

My 362 id doing great after 3 years and around 20 chains with them being sharpened. You need to learn how to start right. Either your not choking after it hot or your drop starting it which is a big no no.
