It's always been my experience that being honest and treating other people the way you would want to be treated is the best policy. Lying or hiding things for some short term gain never works out in the long run.

Beautiful truck, I wish I lived closer. I just bought a 2014 crew cab Z-71, but its still only a 1500. It's in the queue for a full transmission rebuild (not by me on this one) then my 06 goes up for sale.

Congrats on the new truck! From what I've read the 6l80 is a bit more challenging the and 4l60 and 4l80 and requires some special tools, I haven't gotten into one yet either.

If you’re not pressed for time, I found the manifold bolts will come out if you soak them in PB Blaster over a period of several days. If you can’t wait, you may spend the same amount of time extracting broken bolts.

Penetrating oils definitely help if you have the time in advance to soak them.

I always reuse the oem gaskets too. But a lil high temp Permatex is some messy shit but helps when the manifold is warped. lol I still have nightmares chasing misfires from back when I ran ebay stainless turbo headers.

so far I haven;t had one that needed anythign more than a good oem gasket. Cheap headers with flanges that aren't thick enough suck to try to keep sealed.
