I’d resist putting that final nail in the shingle so close to the valley. Double nail the shingle out at the edge of the tin, second nail an inch from the top of the shingle. If you’re not weaving, you really want to try to avoid any penetrations through that valley tin except on the outer edge. The tar will hold the last 6” of shingle to the tin as well as a nail. That valley flashing will have a lot of water flow.
