I‘ve had my 15 Pro Max 512gb in Natural Titanium for about two weeks now and have had no big issues. The main ones boil down to small software bugs or missing features and a microscratch on the titanium out of the box, besides that it‘s been amazing
I stand corrected! When my 15 Pro Max hit 82 charge cycles, it fell to 99% health. It has since been less than stellar. Disappointed once again. May make the jump to the S25 Ultra next January, skipping the 16 Pro Max.
I got my 15 Pro max in early October and it has consistently given me 9+ hours of screen on time since then, I could not be more happy with mine. Not a single issue with it.
Yeah but Huawei mate x5 fold is phenomenal w all features w 3 to 4 days battery and my s23 ultra gives me 16 hours w way more features and capabilities including Nintendo emulation for free
@@morm2173 lol idk what a heaueuewia is but I’ll pass. And my brother has the s23 ultra, he’s trading it in for the 15 pro max. A decision he made after I let him use mine for all of 20 mins. This was around the 6pm mark in my area the other day, his phone was at 70% while mine was at 81%… the S23 is a beast but after spending the last 14 years with android, it’s a nice change of pace for me. My last phone was the S22 ultra and it was garbage
Got my 15 pro since early November. Yesterday i stopped charging my phone at 6:45 and ended the day with 31% battery between 22-23 pm(normal usage. Never had overheating issues whatsoever! love this device!
I’ve had my 15PM for 2 months now coming from a XS max and it’s been faultless, no downsides. Battery life has been wicked gets me through a full day plus usage at the gym. Haven’t experienced any issues with over heating. Super light in hand too. Best iPhone I’ve had to date
@@m.t.1204 I’d definitely go for the Pro max having the bigger screen is a must. I’ve found it easy to hold and easy to use in one hand, can’t lie I’ve had it in a case since I brought it so not sure if that’s helped
Good video, CJ! I swear, some of these other tech RU-vidrs forget how every other phone operates any time there is a “gate”. EVERY PHONE GETS WARM UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. EVERY PHONE’S BATTERY DEGRADES OVER TIME. I’m tired. 🤦♂️
If anyone is thinking about getting the max this year just do it. I was really worried about getting a max for the first time but the 15 pro max is the best max yet. The titanium makes it lighter and the thin bezels make it slightly smaller than previous max’s the size is very manageable this year. Also the battery life, and cameras are just incredible.
Thank you, I've had crazy decision fatigue trying to choose between the pro and pro max. I've always used small phones cause I find one handed use really important but I've also recently starting watching ALOT of videos on my phone so I deeply appreciate a larger screen.
I bought my 15 Pro in September and it’s been a great device. I consistently get 10-12 hours of battery life and it’s a big upgrade from my old 8 plus. My battery capacity just went down to 99% two days ago but it’s still good.
Got a pro max in navy.Coming from a lifetime android user power user. This phone is great.Definitely a challenge with the switch but welcome. The ecosystem is what brought me to apple. This phone completes everything I need and more.
I'm thinking of getting the iphone 15 pro max. I'm a long term android user. Currently have a Samsung galaxy note 10 plus. I'm tired of the choppy ecosystem of Android and the difficulty of navigating the phone. There's too much customizations to do and it's overstimulating me, lag in the camera drives me crazy and can't shoot moving objects , android phone only lasts on average for 4 years of software and security updates, and the value of android phones goes down much faster than iphones. I'm waiting for the Galaxy S24 series to come out to see if it will win mw over before I decide to make the switch to iphone.
@@Joe-hb6ek May I ask why did Samsung dissapoint you? I'm leaning torwards getting the iPhone 15 Pro Max but waiting to see if the Samsung S24 series will win me over next month.
I just found your videos and I’m hooked! I so enjoyed your review and your personality. I just upgraded from an iPhone 11 Pro (😬) to a 15 pro. No issues so far and I feel great about my new upgrade!
I got a 15PM and loved it but the use with one hand got cumbersome and sometimes left my fingers and hand fatigued so I got a 15 pro and have also had no issues. I only charge to 80% and when I usually go to bed at night I’ll still have over 20%. For heavier or longer days, I carry a MagSafe battery pack
I’ve had the 15 pro max for a couple of months and no issues whatsoever. Love the long battery life, especially after using a very old iPhone where the battery didn’t even last an hour 😅
so after YEARS of holding out with my Samsung phones my family finally convinced me to join them and get an IPhone. I got a 15 pro i haven't set it up yet cuz I'm waiting on a case before I set it up.
CJ thanks for this video and not having a high drama title. I’m through with all of the near constant hyperbole on here as well as the annoying graphics and obnoxious music at the beginning. This is the reason I never unmute a video for most videos at the start. And yes I’ve had my XR for about 5 years! Wasn’t looking for a phone yet but now that my phone is slated for abandonment to the iPhone swamp I’ve been considering the 15 pro. I enjoyed your video and your advice because you help the dismiss a lot of the rumors flying around and the put downs due to brand loyalty. Thanks 👍🏾👍
I got a 15 pro on release. Battery still at 100%. It doesn't overheat or get hot. Battery is great for me. At the end of the day I have about 50-60% left I really can recommend the device
I never had the draining issue. I don't do gaming on my iPhone though, that could be an explanation Music streaming, surfing the web and texting is what I do 90% of my usage

I've had my 15 pro max caseless since release - not a single scratch. I do have a case for when I travel but day to day use - I'm enjoying taking advantage of the sleek and slim form factor. & certainly the beautiful natural titanium color.
Same, am using my 15PM caseless since Launch and there is no scratches and never dropped it at least yet hopefully never😅, I purchased a case but never used or it, the case is for in case am in situations where the case will be needed, I don't even have a screen protector either on both of my 15 Pro and Pro max
The 15 Pros I saw at 2 different Apple Stores had scratches on the screen and back while the regular 15 ones looked pretty new. Maybe they used different finishes on them.
My 15 Pro gets 6-7+hrs. on screen time w/o Low Power Mode on. But here’s a few things I did that helped the battery: Turned off Always On Display + Background Refresh + True Tone and Auto Brightness, switched 5G to LTE, and switched to Dark Mode. Hope this helps you too!
Love my 15 PM. I decided to keep my 14 pro which is 7 months old. I use it more than my 15 PM. Got the 15 pm on launch day. Only have 30 charge cycles on it. I plan to keep these phones til they absolutely die out.
Pro max user …..love this phone does everything work real well all the time never ran out call quality is great as well battery for me is great and play with it all day great review
My iPhone 15 pro has falling on it a 15 kg gym weights without a single scratch on the phone + screen protector and case ,, it started to heat up and became extremely hot without being able to turn the power on or charging it !! I lost my trust on iPhone durability
I can’t decide between pro and pro max I got the 13 pro max and it lil heavy I was thinking pro but I play games so idk if I should go with 15 pro max or pro
Nice vid dude, couldn’t agree more, Upgraded to the 15 PM from the OnePlus 7 pro, huge upgrade for me And the biggest thing I noticed is how generally snappy it is n got the dbrand ghost case Scratches very easily but feels 👍
15Pro GanG ... I get about 5-7 hours of screen on time ... .Normally take it off the charger around 530a and can charger it back to 100 maybe the next day Not a power user there ... Spotify RU-vid ( listening with screen off ... lil bit of iG/fb Taking pictures a couple times a day When I do godda charge my phone I got my 13mini on deck 😅😅😅 ( DONT JUDGE DAKIDD )
same here , I have no overheating issues at all, the only thing that definitely can improve is the battery. Other than that I'm happy with it, it's an iPhone, it does its job.
Hey man, thanks for the video! Everything is on point. I’ve got iPhone 11 (a dinosaur 🦕), I’m upgrading to 15 pro max white. Great video, you’ve helped. Subbed🙏🏻
15PM here.. I charge it every other day usually, and even when I do it’s just to 80% capacity. I use it medium - heavy usage… for videos + music /vpn’s active. *note - I made battery saving changes to the settings on device. (E.g. - always on display, background app refresh, etc.)
15 Pro Max user since release day, my battery generally last throughout the entire day. After updating to 17.2, my battery health dropped to 99%. Should I be worried since I’ve only had this device for about three months? With previous iPhones, I’ve had 100% battery health for an entire year before dropping. Other than that my 15PM experience has been overall great!
So apple has a standard battery capacity which is the Mah rating you see in the tech specs. Now every battery is either at that mah or slightly above. Chances are thousands of people get batteries that are above capacity and make it all year with 100%. The ones dropping health are batteries that were extremely close to the written rating.
Im a samsung knight who crosses between samsung and ios. Honestly the iPhone 15 pro max has me split down the middle. I love it almost as much as my android s23 ultra. Battery is great, lots of innovation, the new customization features are the bomb. Be honest u can't go wrong with either s23 ultra, zfold 5 or iphone 15 pro max which is used by me an my wife each 👌
@CJKnowsTECH exactly. Phones these days can cause anyone to cross over depending on a person's needs. Location sharing on iPhone 15 Promax blew me away. Used it in the store to find exactly where my wife was. And my wife and her zfold 5 make no mistakes, she loves it. I barely can hold it 5 minutes an she want it back an she is originally a ios girl. She still got the 15 pro max too but she be on that zfold 5 an I love the s23 an 15 pro max. Honestly can't choose a winner over the other this time
I got the 15 pro max it's a great phone love it , have tried switching to s24u and came back to iPhone as soon as I could I really don't like android phones sure they have way to many things and stuff but it's the ease of use that gets me on the apple wagon every time
great video...i have the 15 pro max and i really like it a lot....however, although i like the screen size, i find it really uncomfortable to hold in my hand...i have average to large hands and still i'm not crazy about the size and how it fits...i do wish i could sell it now but i'm probably going to wait until september when the 16 pro comes out and trade it in...my battery health is still at 100% and i've had the phone since November of 2023...i have tons of battery packs so running out of steam is not really an issue with me...thanks for the video and keep up the good work.
Great video i have decided to switch to the dark side of samsung s24 when its released fed up of Apple hiking the prices up for very little change with samsung they double the storage and give discounts on other items. What if anything would make you switch to the dark side? Merry Christmas C.J
Man thanks for this video, you made my day. I had to play it twice to be able to think about the points that your review is making, because the first time I just laughed the whole video.
Tbf my 15 Pro Max’s battery life was phenomenal until I upgraded to iOS 17.2. The drain is proper noticeable to me as before I’d charge my phone once every 24+ hours, and now I have to in around half that time. I’m on 17.2.1 now and I haven’t seen it improve…
@CJKnowsTECH the people who do have issues play games on phone while charging the phone.. obviously causes it to over heat also Twitter had issues too where if people used the app, it caused the phone to over heat.
I have the iPhone 15 pro it only gets hot when I charge and use at the same time but it like a warm hot not burning If I play a 120fps game the battery is gone in 3 hours lol
Plus the IPhone will still feel new after the first year where as with Android the phone for whatever reason doesn’t keep that fresh feeling . Usually 6 month mark your counting down the days for the new upgraded phone. With IPhone you can skip a year and not even think about the new IPhone
I upgraded from my iphone x and i simply love it! Yes i keep my iphone for 5/6 yrs and dont regret it. Iphone x still works well but was due an upgrade 😂😂
Hi CJ. Awesome video! Definitely needed to see this. I currently own a galaxy Note 10+ for 4 years and need to upgrade. I did own an iphone 7 plus once upon a time and want to get back into ios. Do you think it would be worth upgrading to the 15 pro? I know this video doesn't speak about the base 15 but not sure whether to go with base or 15 pro 256gb. Thank you 🙏
I have a dinosaur. A iPhone 10Max and I loved it till IOS 17. Now my phone is acting a straight fool. I’m torn between buying a cheap 13Max or biting the bullet and getting the 15Max. I like to keep my phone till the wheel fall off. I hate that it’s the upgrades, that I don’t need that F*** up your phone. I’ve since learned to turn off auto updates. Lesson learned too late. Thanks for the review.
My battery was so good when I first got it on my 15 pro max in September launch day. But after to about when I downloaded 17.0.3, it took a big hit and has been fluctuating since then. I was getting up to 14 hours soc before 17.0.3, but after it, it’s gone down to 8-10 hours soc. Took a massive hit, still not bad can get me through a day but not the second
I'll tell you this right now and there's no cap in what I'm saying I promise you I have the s23 ultra and my phone hasn't even gotten warm Yes I'm dead-ass serious not even gotten warm and I've played all types of games and I am seriously addicted to my phone I do have a problem so I'm constantly watching RU-vid playing video games searching the web like my screen on time is stupid and it never gets warm not downloading stuff not nothing maybe I'm just lucky
Hey (lolol, I almost typed CKid) CJ. Hey, will you be reviewing Ray Bans Meta smart glasses anytime soon, my brotha? I went shopping at the local mall and ran into Sun Glass Hut and saw that they had 'em on their shelf for sale,' and instantly, I fell in love ❤️ real hard... I am sprung for eye wear tech! Say, I look forward to your eyewear tech review playah!
Cameras are great on both phones... But for me, I type a lot on my phone... and I've tried both apple and samsung... and I type roughly 30% faster on the galaxy than the iphone... iphones are TERRIBLE for typing... just terrible... man, I'm getting angry just thinking about all the times I've been frustrated by its magnifying glass. Funny thing is that iphone users are so used to the magnifying glass, they have no idea what I'm talking about until they try a galaxy... It's almost sad.
My last three phones of this year were the S23 plus, S23 Ultra and the 15 Pro Max... but not being able to determine the adjustments yourself is just very bad of Apple... I will buy the S24 Plus in January because Apple really falls short in the adjustments and is far behind Samsung..
def having heating issues with my pro. it gets so hot when ive done the bare minimum. mind you i get multiple popups saying my phone is too hot to function when im listening to music in the car with the display off. i upgraded from the 14 plus and that phone was flawless and def better for its price : battery life isnt better than a 14 plus, 2 hours of off screen time killed 30% of my battery. the 14 plus would last me 2 days
15 pro doesn't really give me any issues in terms of battery. Some days I'm plugging in at 30% at the end of the night but realistically it has what I need to get through the day. It terms of camera I'm not to crazy about it. Much happier with the look of photos from my pixel.
