Sting never afraid to take his songs to different places by performing them a bit differently each time. Some versions better than others, but this particular song is a classic no matter which way it is performed!!!
This is man is not real!!!! a true perfection. This musician is insanely awesome!!!! I love his music..i absolutely can not describe his talent..he is out from this world!
That looks like Ray Cooper on percussion -- he is perfect for this sort of arrangement. Didn't know he and Sting had ever worked together. Just saw Sting live in concert in SF, and his final encore was a solo performance of this song -- just him and his acoustic guitar. It was amazing to have thousands of people singing along on "Message in a Bottle." Hard to believe that those great Police songs are now 30 years old -- or that for so many of us, 30 yrs ago seemed like yesterday...
Saw Mr. Sting I TIVOLI Copenhagen This Saturday d.13-07-2013 And He Was AMAZING.... ALWAYS Have And ALWAYS Will Love His Music...*Ss ;-) This Number, Englishman In New York & Every Breath You Take Will ALWAYS Be Remembered From This GREAT Concert In TIVOLI...*Ss ;-)
There's some acoustic versions out there from the 80's that are laid bare and Stings voice sounds so lonely that you're convinced that he stuck on an island. That being said, this is a nice version but it has the appeal of a victory lap.
only Sting could change Message in a Bottle up this much and still somehow make it sound good. sometimes artists change their original song so much it is barely recognizable... but this version somehow still delivers the original. Still like his original best, though; sounds great when he belts it out.
Madonna: What's Sting doing?? me: He's singing Madonna: With the mic on!?! me: Well yeah. why wouldn't he? Madonna: Since when do artists do that?? Nobody taught me to do that :s
Querrás decir que realmente sin Sting, The Police no funciona !!! Para muestra todo lo que él ha hecho en solitario a diferencia de lo que The Police no ha hecho sin él. Saludos
