Every city and EDSA each should have a independent special task force to deal with problems like these and illegal parking. Only job is to clear illegibly parked vehicles and remove barangay allowed 1 side parking.
dami palusot nung mga nahuli kesyo fast lane daw hehehe anu ka kuya nasa slex or nlex hahaha......dapat isuspend mga license ng iba dyan reckless driving yan
I've been travelling most of my life in that highway. I used to work 2 cities away from my village, that's just 16 kms. It used to take 2-3hrs of bus ride. This new bus system, cut that in half. Other than the inconvenience of going up and down the stairs, I think this is the best way to impose discipline on people.
They know they're just making excuses or "palusot"... Bravo to iAct and LTO!!! I hope they get more logistical support to be able to do these ops more often. Thanks to all of you for your efforts!
Kudos to LTO, good job. Reports say 162 were caught, that should be more than enough to do regular operations! Enforcement is always the answer to instill discipline
What's annoying about this is that they are fully aware it is a bus lane pero pinipilit padin nila dumaan jan.
I sometimes understand why they do this. Signs and rules are sometimes confusing. There are times na hindi updated yung mga signs and rules so people tend to go where everyone go because they think na those signs are already obsolete. If officials can enforce and update things consistently, all these things can be mitigated.
@@sinukuan.woodworksI highly disagree with you on this. In this matter ang clear ng nakalagay na signage na BUS LANE ONLY at 01:05. Naka capitalized pa yan ha. Nothing is effing confusing about that and I really don’t buy the bs about being confused dahil may nauna gawin ang isang mali at sumunod lang ang iba. Kung nag seminar talaga sila and may legit na lisensya, they should know about integrity and accountability sa laws ng kalsada. Kung ako LTO nyan I’ll excuse that person and give him/her a second chance kung susundan nya din yung sinundan nya na humarurot sa bangin hahaha. Lame excuse.
Such a clever and well planned sting operation. The funny thing is that the proper traffic lanes were not especially busy and were moving smoothly so they had nothing to gain by breaking the law.
Keep it up guys! including the cost of the penalty until everyone won't consider going thru that lane. These vehicles most of the time aggressively force their way out of that lane that causes even more traffic congestion and the likelihood of collisions. Thank you for this feel-good video
Impeccable timing? You just happen to be on that footbridge within the area where the sting will hit? Hahahaha. But seriously, i seldom traverse this area and i am always tempted to follow those vehicles using the bus lane. I was unsure back then but now i am sure, we are not allowed there. Thank you, Gadget Addict! Thank you, I-ACT!
The bus companies were informed about this sting operation so they will temporarily use the regular lanes. It was intended to trap the kamotes and intentionally delay their trip. Naghintay na ng 1 hour, confiscated ang license, will pay the penalty and required to attend seminar. Good job. Madaming nalambat.
Been driving for 24 yrs to work from QC to Makati and vice versa and i tell you, one of the main reasons why these riders are complaining that Edsa or any other roads is slow moving is due to them. Their reckless, weaving thru 4 wheels and suddenly cutting and changing lanes, the bigger vehicles will be forced to slow down or stop. This will be a chain reaction then, so imagine babagal ang daloy and the domino effect of slow traffic is inevitable. Subukan mo steady 40kph sa Edsa, without these kamote riders cutting and lane splitting between cars and large vehicles… It will be a smooth drive for everyone.
Huwag na natin ipilit yan 1 lane for motors, one lane for buses, one lane for others.
People who disrespect the authorities and kept blurting out excuses need to be given more penalities. They already know they're in the wrong and they want to show that they don't even have common sense. It's just ridiculous that some just get away with a ticket
People should really appreciate and respect the bus lane more to be honest. As being one of those bus commuters almost everyday from a different province, getting stuck in traffic is not fun and waiting for a bus that's stuck in late afternoon traffic for like an hour after you had a tiring day is not fun either
hey gadget u should coordinate with i-act more whenever they do this kind of operation...so satisfying to watch, this is the best one out of all the bus lane videos u did couple of years ago when bong was still edsa chief....hoping for more like this!
On Japanese roads, you never see concrete barriers. Traffic signs and occasionally, plastic cones are sufficient to make drivers obey traffic rules and stay in their lanes. That's because discipline had been taught to the people at a very early age. And getting a motor vehicle operator's license is very difficult because the standards are very strict !
thats how well disciplined they are. sadly some pinoy cant accept the comparison, saying other countries are rich, but thats how they become a rich country, being disciplined citizen.
Other countries have no traffic enforcers and they still abide by the law. Kahit ang mga driver na eto, pag mag drive yan sa ibang bansa, they will definitely follow the law. Pero bakit sa atin bale wala lang?
Same reaction when I saw them went out of the bus. Oooooohhhh, tickets will be given. I hope they visit the Bicol region too as there are plenty of crazy drivers around here.
Super satisfying vid tonight as always. Great job on this operation! Hopefully this will be a major alert to those hard headed/ignorant drivers in EDSA. I think once or twice of this operation randomly in a month will really help decrease violators on this road.
I see the enforcers asking for driver's license but do they also ask for insurance? Do tickets have an affect on insurance premiums? If not, that may be something to put into consideration.
I hope enforcers do this REGULARLY and not only when there's an incident highlighted in social media. They should also do the same to bus not using the bus lanes.
i was wondering why this video is 360p only. It's a fresh upload! 😅 i-ACT should also patrol or ticket the other vehicles causing traffic to on the intersection on Taft ave/EDSA, as well as the one near the hotel after the intersection. A lot of pedicabs, tricycles or kuliglig counterflows there
I rarely drive through EDSA. I get confused with the lanes. In one rare occassion, I found myself in the bus lane and panicked. But what also gets me confused is there r a lot of private cars and motorbikes using the lane and I do not see any one apprehended. I am really careful following traffic rules.
True, they will only follow when its enforced and any police is watching the road, unfortunate most rules are never followed because they can get away with jt
With at least 30 mins of waiting, ₱1000 fine, the hassle of personally collecting your license and undergoing a traffic seminar, I think these erring drivers will definitely learn their lesson.
@@hyperspaceexplorer5594 how about increasing the fine to P5,000? that would hurt them. Aint nothing to do whether rich or poor. It's a hundred dollars ... most of them do not have. They'll learn the lesson.
Good job LTO Officers who conducted this.
THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO SEE!! HAHAH! DESERVE! imagine having 4-5 lanes of road for your own and you choose to go to the sole lane given to the commuter. YOU MUST BE SOME KIND OF STUPID TO DO THAT!
Hefty fines, hefty suspension period. Possible revocation of license if violations are stacking up. Stupidity has its hefty price to pay. Good job enforcers!
I've been watching your videos since 2019. It's 2023 and MMDA still issues the same violations. Being an MMDA is such a thankless and exhausting job. I don't blame them if they quit and move on. These people never learn. My gulay.
This is one of the best video I watched. Thia shouls be done pn a daily basis and this will help government to get finds to improve all services. By apprehending and penalizing this bunch of idiots. This will benefit majority of us. i hope they also do this on bike lanes. Specially on my route ortigas to shaw. Lots of motorxyxle riders disregars this. Aometimes mmda designated on that area does not care and juat standing at the ortigas mrt station. Not doing their supposed jobs
A mega parking structure situated near Monumento could help even more so that drivers can park there and take these very convenient carousel buses. An ideal spot would be that old structure with lots of vendors occupying the sidewalks along the monumento rotunda. I hope you guys can also clear that area because it's very dangerous and risky to walk there at night
I like na merong idea to help. Although I think much better if we upgrade ung mga connecting points papuntang carousel para they dont have to bring cars in the first place.
Eto ung "grey area" na bus lane from Edsa Buendia to pasay. Madalas din ako nadaan na dyan at ala namang nanghuhuli. Back then, ala kasing dumadaan na city bus dyan sa bus lane na yan since lahat ng bus stops ay nasa RIGHT side starting from Edsa Buendia SB to Pasay rotunda.
Should be done more often. Good job for the enforcers and officers who thought of this. More presence, more enforcement and more promotions and more salary increases to people who enforce the law fairly.
Just laughing and smh while watching. I'm always driving in EDSA around past midnight and not a single time that I take the bus lane even though I know no officer is on duty or will caught me but what more in the broad daylight lol. Its just me knowing that its an exclusive BUS LANE ONLY. Kudos to Sting ops officers 👍
Daming signage dyan na Bus Lane Only.
@@randomren6770 I completely agree. 3rd offense, revoke and prevent the person from getting another license. 3 offenses shows that a certain person is just not disciplined.
I'd say good job. From Taft to Guadalupe, you'd see motorists clogging up the Bus Carousel lane which was meant to be a faster alternative to the easily filled up MRT.
