Hi john I've heard of a few painted rays around youghal. I've never fished courtmacsherry myself but the long strand down west Cork should be full of big fat bass

Cheers mate ya it's a deep channel that gets close to the shore in tralee Bay. Its called the monk hole because of how many Monkfish used to be caught there in the 70s 80s 90s

Hey Ste it's the name given to the channel that runs along tralee Bay off Derrymore island. To be fair it's a pretty big area that's all classed as the monk hole. No marker buoy or anything like that
