Win or lose, he's not only one of the greatest fighters on the planet, but one of the most down to earth dudes as well. Being from and living in NE Ohio, he is so much more than just a fighter, he's one of us, a guy that goes through the grind and represents the hard worker and rugided individual you would find in the area. A volunteer firefighter when he could just count his money and lay back, a guy that could have gone training at a high profile gym but stayed at Strong Style here in Cleveland, a guy that represents the true grit of NE Ohio. Win or lose, I'll always be a Stipe guy and always back a guy that never forgets where he came from.

Well said. He's inexplicably the underdog most of his fights, and with how random heavyweight is its hard to see anyone surpassing 3 title defenses. Legend of the game and one of the few fighters that stayed true to himself during the McCasual years. Win or Lose my favourite fighter. Jones is extremely hard ask at his age but no way he just buzzsaws through Stipe. Can't wait for this one

Man given all the excitement and hype around the fight, The feeling of maybe its potentially the last fight for both these legends is an overwhelming thought. Jon has clearly said that there's no real challenge for him left after beating Stipe, so the potential matchup against Sergei Pavlovich, Sergey Spivac or even Curtis Blaydes are not some of the fights that interests Jon Jones, and coming back to Stipe he's 41 yr old and a UFC legend in every sense of the word, would love to see him put up a great show in his potential last fight, although given the kind of wreak Jones havoced on a prime Cyril Gane, there's not a lot of practical chance in favour of Stipe!!!

People are confused about Stipe. I think he wins it easy. He's big, strong, has a great chin, tremendous cardio and he can wrestle. Think about it, he beat Francis blow by blow the first time around. I will be putting money down on this one. Stipe - Round 2. TKO
@Seryma86
@Seryma86 10 месяцев назад
Finally a take that makes sense. The fact stipe can wrestle and is strong is huge against a guy like jones. Add on the fact that he has heavy hands and solid mma boxing he’s definitely a threat.

@Johntheheadache
@Johntheheadache 10 месяцев назад
@@vinnie8495 For context: Fighters cutting weight start having issues in their mid 30's...Not Heavyweights...They fall apart much later than everyone else... Jones cut weight for 10 years to make 205 and used steroids in the past...I'd say Jones' body is more wrecked than Stipe's ...IMO Stipe will melt him relatively easy.

@@keithc001 Stipe seems like a nice guy. He had a great career & Jon will retire him. He's better off spending time with his family than fighting big monsters like Jon. I can see Jon breaking limbs or rendering him unconscious. That young Russian dude Pavlovich is a much bigger threat to Jon than Miocic. Stipe had his time and now he's done. Cain Velazquez in his prime would wreck Miocic. Jon is gonna hurt him😃

What do you mean? He was 1-1 with Francis before he left and the most decorated heavywight of all time with victories over great names. If anything it`s Jon Jones himself who was asking for this fight because anyone who knows anything about the sport knows that if you want to be the goat you have to beat Stipe.
