please leave a like and comment if you want more videos like this! lujcio guide videos never do well on my channel but if this one does well ill make more! / eskay / eskayow
This is the most effective kind of education content in my opinion. I could watch a million videos of good games where you just explain what you're thinking about in certain situations/why you're doing what you're doing. Would love to see more like this!
Agree, there's nothing better than someone commentating over their own gameplay. When learning Dota 2 I used to watch Purge's videos where he does this, and I always looked forward to them.
Been playing Lucio since s2 OW 1 and am pretty damn good but found myself always getting stuck in ELO hell. Learning actual tactics from players like you has really elevated my game. I haven't gone back this season to see if I can't climb ranks but I'm getting into a bunch of pubs with Top 500s now so I should probably consider giving comp a go once again. Thanks for the help!
yeahh I'm mechanically better than anyone out there (20 years of surfing games in CS will do that) at movement and I think Eksay is one of the few Lucio's out there that gets it. I got stuck in ELO hell too, playing with friends, even though I personally believe I'm the best Lucio player (lol gonna get flamed for it). got a team, and flew up to GM before I quit playing. but again, the reason I'm so good and make this claim is because I played Lucio for 20 years before he existed on CS Surf as a top 50 guy globally in that game
Elo hell literally just means you are bad and plateu. good players always have a really easy time ranking up. If you objectively analyse your common mistakes and improve your skills you would improve no matter where you are stuck. Your environment might lose you some games, this is a team effort after all. But if you are better than the other players, you will rank up guaranteed. If you don't you only have yourself to blame. But in this toxic community, this attitude is not surprising.
Love this! I always like seeing practical application/thought processes when playing. ML7 and Fitzy also do this super well. Would love to see more of this content from you, even if it's some other supports you play in ranked games!
Thank you for your educational content Eskay!! I've had trouble finding good guides that go in depth about everything the hero can offer so I really appreciate all of your lucio videos! I have a hard time learning/mastering skills unless I know exactly how something works and your videos are making it much easier for me to understand how to do better with lucio, even though I dont main him
This was one of *the best* guide videos I've seen in a while! I don't really play Lucio, but I've even learned quite a bit extra about the flow of a game in general :D (After years of OW and many videos seen that is really rare!) I also understand Lucio way better now, which is nice for the cases were you do have to force him ^^'. thanks Eskay! Really well done
actually a really good video with lots of great tips unlike most other videos that just go "well just ain train and boop the enemies of the map" great job on this one :D
Thx for the guide as an ana main, i was looking into learning Lucio, so this guide really helps. It got both things you have to work on in the longer term and things you can implement right away.
Thank you eskay! I very much enjoy edutainment content and would love to see more, I'm currently a D3 DPS and a M5 Support trying to improve at the game and I'm very much enjoying it
Your appreciation for her content is truly valuable and motivating. Keep showing your support for Eskay by watching her videos, leaving positive comments, and spreading the word. She'll definitely appreciate it! Thanks again for your awesome support! 😄
omg love this kind of content tysm for the tips n tricks!! will keep these in mind for my team's scrimmies tonight... want to do more with my lucio so this is perfect
Great guide vid. I'd say all of this info was pretty big brain/high level but understandable. On a future guide I think there are some more basic things you could cover. For example you speed boosted your team right after your Sombra EMPed. Why'd you make that choice? (I know why but it's a good teaching moment)
I love the combination of tutorial and live commentary feel this vid has. Plus, your voice reminds me of someone just waking up from a nap, and the image of someone sleeping hopping on lucio and pulling off sick tech is hilarious, lol
I've played Lucio since launch and I've learned a lot from this. Thanks for the info, Eskay, I'm incorporating boop trigonometry into my core battle data. 💪
This video is so good! I'm trying to learn Lucio and I kinda got the movement but was struggling with the play style. This helps a lot! In a future video could you tackle the topic of aura stance management? I kinda don't know in what situation I should use one or the other. Thx^^
Great video as usual :D What I would find extremely helpful is you using your onscreen keyboard so I can see what you do and how you did it with your key presses. I'm struggling to get some techs down because I'm unsure how precise I need to be and what I'm doing wrong. :)
10/10 video and advice. I'm watching more to confirm understanding than learn new things, as I currently do most of this. But having the confirmation is equally as important. I'd like to see someone make a guide based on lucio volleys. All lucios seem to do micro mouse movements with strafe to hit moving targets, and it's really neat to see if your looking for it.
I watched this as a low t500/gm1 support and I’m realizing my final major mistake I’m making is adjusting my playstyle too quickly to a death. I’m gonna try fixing that then hopefully climb up t500. Thank you eskay
okay so generally focus torb turrets, full speed boop punch animation cancel, boop to predict movement, and some more is like all I am missing, just gotta try to not overpush as well, stay close to team, group up unless I'm the only one dead, speed is key. Very informative guide, I'll definitely use this to get better
i do love to play lucio whenim going for support, and on one side im impressed how much of that i do already without someone telling me (keeping track of ults, be ready to counter them, taking care of turret and secondary support), and also impressed how much theres still left to learn for me. Till today i always thought itd be better to boop enemies away from my team instead of into my team.
Knowing where to boop enemies is very valuable! If you're booping an enemy away from you, try and boop them into a corner or wall that they could get stuck on. The ability to change your enemy's pathfinding can be a game changer!
Pretty standard stuff but great vid, I do like your Lucio. :) New fan btw and t500 ball just throwing that in there. Hope to catch more of your videos x
Hello! I am a former Brazilian teacher and I'd like to point out some things regarding the way you explain concepts. First of all: great fucking job. The way you explain is definitely well thought out and you articulate everything easily. Not everyone is a hardcore gamer as we both are, so having a very approachable way to point things out is always very welcome, which is something you seem to do effortlessly. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I would guess your audience is probably filled with very young people, so it sucks that most of them won't even be able to take every benefit you are putting out with these explanations. I thought this comment would actually be much much longer, but to be fair, it is not like there is anything but positive adjectives to describe your work. I used to be a challenger league of legends player who also loved to run competitive teams, so I there is a lot of ease to me finding value to what you are doing here. It is not like you need it, but if you ever want some kind of help to create educational though processes, I am down to help. Have a great day and keep doing your thing!
