It is very unclear to me how the FING (wired desktop) program can block the traffic to and from my phone on the Wifi network, as this would be only possible on the router. I checked their site for 5 minutes and I read the FAQ, but unfortunately this question was not answered.
Great idea about Wireshark. I used to use that over 10 years ago to do network traffic monitoring. Can you provide a video on how to turn off Windows Update, if that is even possible? Windows Update has been changing my custom made Windows settings.
Of course they do! Why else would they nag you to use Microsoft account instead of local account?! Even with local account they do collect so much information about you.
Do not try to block Microsoft they will cut your computer off and you will lose all your data I lost two computers last week testing this if you take permissions away from Microsoft you take all access away from their device that you own
im missing this tpm thing, my pc is not that old. this security thing is the only thing im missing and is not activated. but im scared to go into bios ngl
Laughs in Linux..... I was reading a few days ago Microsoft were creating an inbuilt Windows DNS service that overrides user configuration. I hope they like what you're trying to resolve.
Yes Please teach me about the registry. When I 1st got windows 10 I did turn the updates off but they finally forced there way in. So I paused them until I couldn't so I would disconnect from the internet on that date when I went to bed. It's like a game & I think I'm winning.
the problem with switching any of the settings off , how do you know that the next big update that microsoft just wont turn it all back on? there is no guarantee is there ? imagine having to constantly having to always check all the time after a big update from microsoft - i'll just stick with Linux.
This is amazing, thanks so much I got back 13G of space on my hard drive and learnt something never because i've never knowm how to improve the performance. I will say the disck clean up too ages so I knew it must have needed it
Yes please, i want to know how to get rid of some stuff i dont have a clue what they do, all i know is that they make my processor run, and if i have too many tabs open they shut down and i gotta reload them, i check task manager and there are things running when i have this problem
my 1000mbs was dropping below 900. I had the router that was capped at 1000mbs, not the 2500mbs router. But when I dropped down to 500mbs, i get 650mbs,why, because they overprovision unless you have 1000mbs. Ookla shows the same speed no matter what, i dont trust them.
I'm honestly waiting to see what Windows 12 looks like. My PC s fine and would hate to throw it away....eWaste... Normally, I would wipe the PC and donate it to a family that needs a PC. eWaste and it's Microsoft's fault.
Been looking for this! I like to always improve this pc. BTW your 4k is sharp, nice, Ive got a 3070ti gameX and a Lg32ul750 4k, VA with 400nits/3000 contrast, added a B.T.2100 (2020) color file to color mgt and is phoenominal.
Sorry, but bad advice about using a mesh to increase the range of the wifi. Not that it wouldn't work, but both apple and android use mesh to pass your information to other devices on the mesh network in your area, which ultimately sends it to headquarters. This is a major violation of privacy.
I've turned all of these settings and more off. Guess what? There's still a lot of constant connecting to the sites by Windows. So either the settings are ignored or there's more going on that can't be controlled with these settings. Adobe is another company that likes to keep things running in the background with active communications.
OOOH YES please about stopping feedback. Thanks for all the time you spend on these interesting vids. I am not a tech head but your explanations make it easy for me to understand.😊
Always great info to keep us safe without all the high techie mumbo jumbo some RU-vidrs use just to impress us with their knowledge. You always keep it right on point and easy for us to understand. Thanks
Yes would like to see the registry hack for turning diagnostics off. I've heard conflicting messages from people that no matter what you turn off in settings/registry you would have to reset it with every major windows update since it just resets everything back. Is that true?
