I can't believe there was only one kind of thing in each of those drawers! Whoever owned them was very disciplined.

Could there be some truth to the fabled organised workshop dream - or is it just a myth after all? 😉🤣

$180 !!, never ceases to amaze me the value you can extract from these unboxings. That blue drawers cabinet will be very useful. 👍

Nice one! I just love the way that, what is seemingly a box of junk, turns into a display of interesting and useful items. You do a great job in cleaning them up but not ruining their patina.

Thanks Dee! Yeah, I'm a big believer in keeping original patina as much as possible! 👍😊

Thanks Chris, another surprising total, for an unremarkable box of bits ! Love the chest of drawers and the printed crates are a bonus, goes to show repurposing and up-cycling are nothing new, what a practical and interesting vintage piece !

Yes Andy, but repurposing wasn't a feel-good fad back then - it was a matter of necessity! Especially during the depression years people had to make do with what they had! Thanks mate 😊👍

Yes BB, keeping the drawers. I may restore them down the track a bit, but they will be quite useful exactly how they are! 😊👍

That white crate was a real interesting lot. Hats, pictures, kitchen and shed, a bit of something for every room of the house. About the only thing I actively collect are knives, and I would gladly pay $30 for that one if I found it in a 2nd hand shop. The drawers were interesting, Always fun to see repurposed crates.

The plastic handled rollers look like holders for paint rollers.
@TheUltimateRecycler
@TheUltimateRecycler 2 месяца назад
They do look similar Dianne, but I have been informed that they are special rollers for fibreglass work. Thanks for watching 😊👍

Hauthaways Peerless Gloss was a shoe polish supposedly. There are little square bottles from around 1900 with the name embossed on them. I even dug one up here. Never seen a crate for them before.

Now that you mention it Stephen, I've dug them too! I didn't make the connection when filming! Thanks mate!

G’day Chris, I’m thinking that the Jamec air tools may be air chisel. They usually have a recoil spring screwed onto the end of them to keep the chisel bit in place. I’ve also used an air tool similar to install fencing staples into posts too, using a specially made staple holder bit.
@TheUltimateRecycler
@TheUltimateRecycler 2 месяца назад
Yep Justin, I think an air chisel is correct! Thanks mate 👍😊
