15 seconds in and it’s already a whole mood.

Though I do agree Marvel vs DC can be often over used, I do totally get why it's a thing gone to so often in the well with Death Battle. Not only is it a crossover with characters a lot of people will hear of (especially with more and more movies and shows coming out showcasing various new heroes and villains) with a lot of character lore and examples to draw on, but there are just so many unique kinds of parallels and opportunities for interesting match up with a variety of differing power scales. Between more basic street level vigilantes whose main strength are either martial arts or specific kinds of weapon (Green Arrow vs Hawkeye, Daredevil Vs Nightwing), ultra geniuses who house vast array of gadgets beyond our imagination (Lex Luthor Vs Doctor Doom, Batman Vs Iron Man) and yeah insane cosmic level power houses can literally tear apart reality through their clashes (Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna, Black Adam Vs Apocalypse) it makes sense to keep going to that well. And I doubt that will stop in the coming years. I mean we are going to at least get an Ant Man Vs The Atom fight in season 10 I'd lay down money on that so I do get why it's such a constant thing. However it is astonishing it all started from this not only probably the WORST of the DC Vs Marvel match ups, but also the one that makes the least sense. Seriously even if you were to ignore the constant creepy comments made about the combatants in the analysis (You know typically you make a character a horndog pervert in order to explain him suffering constant humiliation or abuse for engaging in such obnoxious oogling but that's not really something you can do with Death Battle in this particular format especially BEFORE Wiz and Boomstick had actual visual representation) and how a lot of the fighting is pretty repetitive back and forth clashing without really any impact with a result that doesn't make any sense (granted this is before they really cared about portraying character that well since yeah the Amazon whose spent thousands of years engaging in combat would know how to deal with a fighter whose greatest strength is zapping someone else's power through touch) ... why in the hell was THIS chosen as the match up? Like the only thing these two share are being well known super heroines but... that's incredibly vague even compared to say Boba Fett Vs Samus that had both characters as masked armored bounty hunters with a range of various different gadgets and known for mostly flying around in a particular famous for geek culture space ship or Akuma vs Shang Tsung which were well known final opponents of popular video game fighting franchises about competiting in a tournament that related to having soul based abilities. This... look I know Carol Danvers was pretty obscure in 2011 (and technically not even Captain Marvel she'd only get that moniker in 2012) but was Rogue really the best opponent they could think of for Wondy? I don't even think Rogue was that super popular like in the early 2010s. Yeah She had some from the 90's show and early 2000's with the movies but those well had dried up and Wonder Woman is such this consistent larger then live figure that you needed some other major lady from Marvel to compete with that. And if you didn't have that then well... shouldn't of had this fight. I do feel Wonder Woman has gotten far better and more fitting battles (I know people have issues with Wonder Woman Vs Thor And Wonder Woman vs She Ra but they are light years better then this ep and far more fitting) but poor Rogue really needs to find someone better as an opponent for her since the idea of characters who can absorb one another's powers to use them would make for a good fight... yeah I know Kirby Vs Majin Buu had that but I meant in the range of just other general super heroes. So yeah solid breakdown of why this failed. And heh if you get it out in time you'll come across the same intercompany fight in Death Battle right before the season 9 finale has the latest example of that. Though Koopa vs Goomba mostly has the distinction of being the first joke fight between two opponents that are both clowed down on but does that work in this context for you? Eh guess we'll hopefully see soon.

your point about the juggernaut is incorrect. Rogue DID end up taking his powers, it just took a little bit longer than normal. Not your fault, they didn't explain it well in the video

Okay, to review this review, I will give you a four. Like a lot of people, you don't know enough about the characters to make a judgment. But I will just list the flaws first. 1. "Sex pest." Something my teacher impressed on me in first grade, "Don't go around using words if you don't know what they mean." A sex pest is someone who sexually harasses others. Yes, his comments were lewd and crude. But he was not sexually harassing anyone. Rogue and Wonder Woman were not around to hear his comments. The only person in earshot was Wiz, and while he might have been offended, creating a hostile environment, Wiz did not appear to mind overly. Call Boomstick a pervert, lecher, horndog, sexist pig, whatever. But the term "sex pest" does not apply here. He was making lewd jokes in front an apparently consenting person. 2. Boomstick's lewd jokes were not the only jokes in this video, although it is close. When Wiz was describing Wonder Woman. Wiz: Created from Earth, borne by gods, trained by ancient warriors. Boomstick: Maker of Wonder Bread, designer of the Wonder Bra. Wiz: Boomstick, that's not true! Boomstick: See? I can do it, too, Wiz! Another one: Boomstick: You know that bitch, mailman god with the wingy shoes? Wiz: Hermes? So, yes, there were jokes that weren't about Boomstick's lecherous comments about Rogue or Wonder Woman. 3. You don't understand Rogue's powers at all. This is going to be a few points. a) In addition to stealing powers, Rogue also steals their memories, even their psyche, rendering her foes unconscious. When Wonder Woman touched Rogue's face, she would have lost much of her powers instantly and felt severely disoriented as her psyche was being absorbed by Rogue, like "WTF is happening to me?" In fact, Wonder Woman actually fared far better than Juggernaut and other beings of similar power whom Rogue has also absorbed, such as Thor and Wonder Man. When she absorbed Juggernaut's powers in Uncanny X-Men #218, Juggernaut apparently lost most of his powers. His arms shrunk so that his armbands fell off, and he was so groggy, he was completely unable to defend himself at all, as Rogue picked him up, ripped his helmet off, and threw him toward the ground. In Rogue's first appearance (where she reveals that her powers are instantaneous) in Avengers Annual #10, she absorbed all the powers of Thor with one kiss. And Thor was out like a light and was useless throughout most of the issue. Wonder Woman actually handled Rogue's parasitic touch better than either Thor or Juggernaut. One touch of Rogue's bare skin, if she had a similar outcome, and it would have been over. b) Rogue has absorbed Juggernaut's powers, and while she didn't get them all at once. Juggernaut was instantly stunned and completely unable to defend himself. When Juggernaut attempted to share his power with Black Tom Cassidy (Marvel Team-Up #150), Rogue was able to absorb all of the powers from each one, one at a time. So, we know that she can absorb at least half of Juggernaut's powers instantly. When she absorbed Juggernaut's powers in Uncanny X-Men #218, Juggernaut apparently lost most of his power. His arms shrunk so that his armbands fell off, and he was so groggy, he was completely unable to defend himself at all. When Wiz said that tenacious foes like Juggernaut can resist, he just meant that Rogue was unable to absorb the totality of his powers. But she got most of them, and instantly disoriented them. c) Your comment that Wonder Woman should have been able to punch right through Rogue's face. In a word, no. That would never have happened. One thing that Wiz and Boomstick failed to point out is that Rogue is stupid invulnerable. Had their bar graph in the video actually included resistance to injury, that is the one stat where Rogue actually would have ranked far better than Wonder Woman. When Rogue first joined the X-Men in Uncanny X-Men #181, Binary (Carol Danvers, the former Ms. Marvel) had come to live with the X-Men (in Avengers Annual #10). But when she found her mortal enemy inside the mansion, Binary had punched Rogue literally to the moon. Binary, as she was then, tapped into the power of a white hole to give herself the powers of a star. While Rogue was momentarily fazed by the attack, she recovered quickly and returned to the mansion to take on this new opponent (that she didn't recognize). Not even Wonder Woman would have resisted that punch so easily. Wonder Woman is vulnerable to piercing weapons like bullets. Rogue is not. So, while a character with Wonder Woman's immense power might be capable of staggering Rogue, that's about all she could accomplish. It would probably take her a long time for her to actually kill Rogue. And once she made contact with Rogue's face, it was over for her. d) Another aspect that you don't understand is (and Wiz and Boomstick also failed to include this) is that as Rogue absorbed the powers of Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman's powers would have diminished as Rogue's increased. Even though Wonder Woman only touched Rogue's face for the briefest of instants, that's all it takes. Most of Wonder Woman's powers would have instantly belonged to Rogue, along with her memories and psyche. Wonder Woman would have been instantly weakened and disoriented and her powers and psyche moved to Rogue. Rogue's subsequent touch wasn't to absorb more of Wonder Woman's powers, but to increase the duration. As Wiz and Boomstick pointed out, Rogue's absorption works on a 1:60 ratio. One second of contact gives Rogue 60 seconds of power. Your other observations, such as the crappy animation and Boomstick's crude humor (even if you did incorrectly refer to Boomstick as a sex pest) are fair. And for this reason, I don't give you a one. However, your very poor knowledge of Rogue's abilities earns you a 4/10 ranking. All of these issues of comics I mentioned, Marvel Team-Up #150, Uncanny X-Men #171, #218, and Avengers Annual #10 are available to be read online. You'll see that the information I gave you is accurate.
