Stormtroopers vs Rebel Soldiers - Star Wars Versus 

Finally someone who Knows that stormtrooper are not as incompetent as the movies put it, Kind of suck that Rebels is repeating this trend.

The rebels are gangster until they lose their plot armor like in rogue one.

So basicly each faction would win in the situation they are trained and equipped for... makes sense.

Am I the only one who wants to see a movie displaying the full might of the empire? Like a movie where, for once, the good guys don't win and stormtroopers aren't just target practice for the rebels. the second half of rogue one kinda got close to it but i would definitely love a movie focused on the empire, maybe about the transition from the clone wars to the civil war

You gotta know that the main characters got plot armour preventing a normal stormtrooper from killing them

I think the 1st generations stormtroopers were better since they were clones

Storm Troopers: trained and well equipped soldiers Rebels: guerrilla fighters Overall, Storm Troopers are better. However guerrilla fighters in real life history have had a good knack of giving others hell.

Stormtroopers come equipped with Standard Issue E-11 Inaccurate-class blasters and the 16 cling-film plates on a full body mask to protect their bodies. Rebel Soldiers come equipped with Standard Issue DH-17 Inaccurate-class blasters and A280 Overpowered-class blasters, as well as a full set of leather plot armour to protect them.

I hate the thing that people say "storm troopers can't aim!!" They dang can. I'd like you see beat one with a gun as well. The amount of times storm troopers have crushed rebelles is lots and they missed a lot because they were told too

1:10 incompetent because the plot demands it and the original film was made in the 70s. At least they are now more competent than before, so that's a positive.

I wouldn't really put too much focus on the weapons. Stormtroopers, having a proper military infrastructure behind them, had a much easier time picking different weapons depending on their missions. Whereas I imagined the rebels hardly had a standardized weapon because of their guerilla style, and simply used whatever they had on hand. Which meant that a rebel could come onto the battlefield with everything from a puny low powered blaster to an outlawed disruptor rifle bought from a crime syndicate, lol

Could you imagine a star wars battlefront simulator with asymmetric warfare :O Empire getting all the gear they have and a HUD while Rebels are left to sneaky around, move fast and ambush. Love the Deadliest Warrior approach to the video, would be cool if they came back with a Sci-fi version and used you tubers and other like you to create their content and gather the info using their resources.

The stormtroopers had DLT-19s which were long range rifles

The storm troopers slaughtering the rebels on the Tantive IV were the 501st clones if we assume they were the ones always with Vader. Same for on the battle of Hoth. If Wookieepedia is to be believed. This does not bode well for the actual capacity of non-clone storm troopers. EDIT: This isn't true. However citing the 501st as evidence that grunt storm troopers aren't stupid is like pointing to the absolute best special forces to claim the common soldiers are elites.

I have a stormtrooper helmet and it is very hard to see in it , although it's much different went talking about it in real life then in a fictional universe :) But the phase 1 clone troopers have the best view of them all XD

The Stormtroopers also receive a very taff training on Carida. A planet with many different environments and a higher gravity which strenghts their muscles.

And i Star Wars Rebels they are so bad because its a stupid kids show,made by disney wich means the hero never gets a scratch.

Stormtroopers use a wide variety of weapons, including those more suited for longer range engagements I believe, that and having incomparably better training would give them the advantage in virtually any environment.

Honestly I could see the rebels having a fair chance in certain urban environments with the use of guerrilla tactics, especially if it's a high rising city like Coruscant where they would have plenty of alleys and high spots to use

Awesome video, would be cool to see a vehicle comparison like this. Maybe storm-trooper armor sticks out so much so they don't have to worry about friendly fire since their targeting system could identify the armor. This way they can shoot at anything that moves. Also camouflage is useless against thermal so sticking out doesn't matter.

3:08 "Some [Rebel] Soldiers [could be] as young as fourteen years old". Wait, what? Are we just going to glance over the fact that the Rebel Alliance used both terror attacks against the Imperials AND used child soldiers? These are supposed to be the "good guys"? I know the Empire was a terrible regime to live under, but seriously- these guys are closer to actual terrorist groups than anything else. Also, it's kind of funny that the E-11's closest analogue is an M16 or similar rifle while the A280 is more of a "Space AK". Again, the Rebels are supposed to be the "Good Guys".

Love the video man, absolutely love it. Has anyone ever told you, that you sound like George Takei? As for the bit about the Rebel Alliance recruiting young - sure, it's morally offensive but it makes sense. Those who wish to be freed from their chains, their bonds of slavery will fight to do this once they are old enough to make that decision for themselves, and naturally, training will be offered to them to make it happen. This is somewhat different to places like the laughable 'democratic' republic of congo where child soldiers are conscripted by simply abducting them and then forcing them to be bullet fodder, with their commanders not caring if they live or die.

I think that the empire would lose some battles in close quarter combat because the rebel army had a variation of weapons. An example would be the DL 44 ( heavy blaster pistol ) ect.

The storm troopers are "stupid" in Star Wars rebels miss because there are only about 5 main characters in any engagement seen on the show so far. If it was a war time setting such as in the clone wars, there would be more larger battles and more rebels would be seen being killed. That's what I believe about the show

501st trooper: they were well trained. They were organized and they were everywhere

The thing about this VS video is that it makes the assumption that the STs and the rebels would ONLY be using there most symbolic equipment in a infantry engagement. The stormtroopers and rebels have a multitude of different weapons and equipment to combat threats at the infantry level, the DLT-19, Thermal grenades, the EE-3, ECT, these were just a few of the kinds of weapons that STs used alongside there standard E-11 rifle as they were meant to fill the roles it couldn't, and the rebels would have similar kinds of weapons that do the same thing for the 280, some of those weapons would also consist of stolen imperial weaponry. All in all this video is good, but not thorough to give us a accurate idea of how a firefight between rebels and stormtroopers would look like or turn out.

The Stormtroopers would completely steamroll the Rebels in a fair fight. The Rebels aren't idiots, there is a reason they fight through Guerrilla warfare. 500 Stormtroopers VS 500 Rebels wouldn't even be a fight, it would be a massacre. Also, I would like a source for stormtroopers having low morale. From what I've seen the stormtroopers seem to follow orders without a second thought. Also, 1:14 What are you doing here Marco Rubio? 2:56 Does that remind you of any other organization? Here's a hint. It starts with Al and ends with Qaeda. 3:08 "Armed groups distinct from the national armed forces should not, under any circumstances, recruit (whether on a compulsory or voluntary basis) or use in hostilities persons under the age of 18 years, and the States must take legal measures to prohibit and criminalize such practices" - Article 14 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child Yet another Rebel war crime. 3:11 Actually Fact Free, we know of at least one Rebel who was 11 years old.
