This video covers the story of Karl Heisenberg from Resident Evil Village. Being known as one of the 4 lords of the region, he too was given the gift from Mother Miranda. Allowing him to have superhuman-like abilities that we have yet to see in the resident evil franchise.
Also in this Heisenberg explained video, we cover the inspiration to his character, his overall motives, and what role he plays in re village. We also discuss the drastic change from the survival horror aspect that we played in most of the game to becoming a much more action orient portion in the Heisenberg factory. Where we see karl becoming a half human half robotic like creature, similar to that of his creations the soldat monsters.
Anyways if you guys enjoyed this video please feel free to like and subscribe for more resident evil or resident evil 8 content in the future.

I personally was disappointed in his transformation. I wish his mutated state would have been the giant wolfman with the hammer. We got a vampire lord with Dimitrescu..Heisenberg could have easily been the werewolf lord. His look also reminds me of Van Helsing, and I remember that in the 2004 movie, Van Helsing became a werewolf and fought Dracula.
@leticiakojo5265
@leticiakojo5265 3 года назад
Kinda agree. I wouldn't like him to be a werewolf but I would rather a big werewolf welding a hammer over that mecha thing. Personally I would like some flesh mixture with metal like a cyborg but much more monster looking with blood and oil running down some parts of his body cause I think that would also contribute to the horror factor

In all honesty it would of been awesome if Heisenberg survived through Ethan choosing to help him. To brining down Miranda then letting Karl be on the run but also be free of Miranda. Then down the later years run into Rose since she is taking on her dads legacy. Imagine the conversation or the fight between the two! “Listen kid, sorry about your dad.... I feel like Heisenberg's whole switch from survival horror to action shoot em up, was actually perfect. It's more symbolic than anything. Capcom: dashing hopes, wasting potential and leaving plot holes since 2009!
@melissazietz1241
@melissazietz1241 2 года назад
@@donavonhoward1899 Plot holes: the entire cast of Resident Evil minus Chris; what happened to Jake; is Alex Wesker still alive; is Albert Wesker still alive; what is Blue Umbrella; if Chris founded BSAA why doesn't he have a clue what's going on with it; why would Mother Miranda play house with Ethan instead of just taking Rose; why would Chris let her play house instead of killing her right away; why wouldn't Chris tell Ethan what's going on; how has Mother Miranda been alive for so long and never thought of using a child of two "mold people" before; what happened to all of Wesker's research; what happened to all the subjects in his Kijuju lab; why could he hold a rocket in his hand and have it blow up in his face before and didn't die, then suddenly dies to rockets;; in fact, pretty much Wesker's whole story is a giant plot hole; I could keep going but I think that's enough. If you can't find plot holes and loose ends it's because you're not looking. The hopes it dashed weren't terrible: only every single shred of hope that any of these questions would be answered, or that we would see any of the beloved heroes and villains we recognize instead of these boring new protagonists and one hit wonder villains who have zero connection to any of the heroes; only the hope that Resident Evil will get back to being Resident Evil and not a first person shooter, and that it will embrace its roots in science instead of hinting at the supernatural, as well as bring back the clever puzzles that you couldn't solve in under fifteen seconds. Only the hope that Capcom will start caring as much about their characters and the story's integrity as they do about money. So not too many hopes, just all of them. Unless the only hope you have is for Capcom to slap the Resident Evil logo on yet another wholly unrelated product, which is what a whole lot of these new fans and the diehard old ones want. Wasted potential: every single protagonist except Chris, whom they seem to think people want to see over and over and over even though his story arch should have ended with the idiotic RE5; Spencer's potential was wasted, Wesker's potential was wasted, along with a million stories that could have been told but were instead wrapped up out of game. Speaking of Wesker, he has far more videos dedicated to him than Heisenberg does, and I still think they also wasted his potential, so what do a ton of videos or the fact people love him have to do with wasted potential? Why do so many people love it? I dunno, why do so many people eat garbage McDonald's hamburgers? Why do so many people love those brainless Fast and Furious movies? Maybe because so many people are dead from the neck up? Or maybe because you think lots of sales automatically means love? Resident Evil as it was invented was always going to have a niche audience; but that wasn't good enough for Capcom, they wanted to make more money so they "reinvented" it in order to attract a larger audience, and in the process completely destroyed its unique identity. Is that enough for you?

Lol Wesker was an iconic villain and this dude is just the flavor of the month. Wesker's backstory was sad and had a ton of potential that they never explored. They just turned him into a comic book villain and killed him. Wesker put the "evil" in Resident Evil; now it's just "Resident." Plus I'll bet if you added up all his appearances in every game he was in, the total time wouldn't even add up to an hour. If any character is used pointlessly in so many games, it's the vastly overrated and vanilla boring Chris Redfield. And Wesker has one other advantage over this dude: Wesker actually _is_ sexy, no mods required 😆

The dramatic shift in tone in Heisenberg's Factory could be explained away as him looking for something he could control to use against Miranda. The other Lords are completely loyal to her and Obey without question. When you fight Miranda she was already in a weakened state after she summon Rose and got shot in the head ( again ) so don't really know if this state affected her powers or not period but one thing's for certain is that she has to have great control over the Cadou parasites which could be another reason why he has never tried to take her out himself in the past and why he needed a robotic Army just use against her. How he had been treated under her might have also led him to that "strong vs the weak" mentality and he couldn't think of anything else but more power. This also led him to not really care how other people think which made Ethan turn it down his offer. Even if your child was the only thing that could be used to stop something, the fact that there's even the notion that they're being used would make any parent upset. And even after all this he still needed Rose cuz he's well aware of the extent of Miranda's power. My belief is that the atmosphere had to change at that point to kind of show off Heisenberg's desperation against Miranda. Unfortunately I have no good explanation as to why he turned himself into a Michael Bay Decepticon when he could have killed Ethan right then and there in human form. My guess is because of his mentality he probably felt that Ethan wasn't worth the effort of killing with his own hands at that point, but Heisenberg would still show him the kind of power he has just as way to tell him what little chance he has. Just like the final battle against Wesker where he infected himself with the Ouroboros, Heisenberg let his power and ego get the better of him. Other than that, I got nothing.

I think Heisemberg didn't want to risk to fight Ethan right there. Ethan has supernatural resilience and was able to kill three lords before him (Let us remember that there were only one weapon capable of hurting lady Dimitrescu, and it was not in Heisemberg's hand, I think he was smart enough to not risk be unprepeared). The reason for the Megazord transformation I think is simple: He was about to march aganist Miranda. He needed to stop the ritual as fast as he could after Ethan turn him down, but eventually you were on his way.

Honestly, I really liked the massive shift in tone the factory has to the rest of the game. It perfectly reflects how much Heisenberg himself didn't fit in with the 'family' and can be seen almost as his way of spiting Miranda by purposefully not fitting in with the rest of the village and the lords. Like the others, I just wish we had more time. The only antagonist in this game I don't feel that with is Moreau who I personally feel could have been taken out entirely to give more time to the others.

Poor Oskar the stable boy really should have laid off the booze... Short version of Heisenberg, he's a cross between Doctor Frankenstein and Magneto. What's not to love? Well, that and his sass to the other characters. ("Oh keep growing! One day you might actually fit your ego!") I agree that the Factory portion (hell, even the Stronghold before it) felt like something from RE4 or 5, the boss fight especially: been a while in this series since we got into a vehicle to fight a towering boss monster. And while I liked the design of the Soldats, first playthrough I found fighting them a bit annoying, though it got easier when I learned their patterns and behaviours a little more. (short version: I like the game overall, though I prefer the first half to the second). I really like the fact that this guy - with his awesome magnetism powers and the fact he's very physically unchanged compared to the other lords - was still considered an unfit vessel for Eve by Miranda. Perhaps she was aware of how he truly felt? Also, it's a good contrast to RE4: while all of Saddler's followers were blindly loyal to him, here there's at least one of Miranda's main followers who sees Miranda for what she really is and just wants to be free.

I personally like the change of pace from one genre to the other. I personally think it's to show the player that they in fact have the power to change their fate and save. The first part of the game was nice and scary, but it does fade after awhile. Plus, Heisenberg doesn't seem like the character to set up a scary base.

I feel like it would have been interesting to have the choice to ally with Heisenberg or not. Heisenberg's entire arc just kinda felt like "yea yeah yeah let's just finish the game already" I feel like his route could have been really puzzle heavy, especially with the manipulation of metals being the forefront of the puzzles. There was a point that came close to that with the creating of the plates while being chased, and I feel they could have expanded on that. Towards the end, maybe one last go at an alliance and a choice...Like if Ethan allied with Heisenberg, then Rose would go with him and be free with Redfield and co chasing her down...or if you chose against, Heisenberg could survive the fight, or just leave, anything else and we get the ending we did... Or none of those, but I just feel Heisenberg was a lot of wasted potential...

Did RE4 not take the same exact turn towards the end? I personally thought the factory was a nice change of pace. The enemies were a bit slower and you’re packing serious heat by this point so it kind of plays like a slower paced DOOM which I’m not complaining about. It’s nice feel powerful towards the end of these games.

I never noticed that off to the right of Lady D's picture on Heisenberg's planning wall is a picture of Chris Redfield. Meaning he knew Chris was somewhere around and had somewhat taken him into account and Chris might not have known that he was aware of him. That and Heisenberg may have also been considering the possibility of teaming up with Chris to take down Miranda as well.

I want to watch all these videos on Resident Evil Village but I'm still playing through the game and am avoiding spoilers. I got a late start because the playstation I ordered didn't work and I had to wait for a second console to ship. I'll be back once I beat the game. Keep up the good work, and can't wait to watch!

Late to the party, I know. I honestly *adored* Heisenberg. As a longtime lurker of the SCP wiki, his character reminded me of how I pictured Doctor Clef and his theatrics when I first started reading. I would agree however that his story could have been flushed out a bit better, and could even have been made a potential ally if the option were available, which I certainly would have liked. But he also does seem to be there to provide those who like a little more action with some stress-relieving shoot-of sort of scenario. Which I guess works for some. As a player who lives for the story, I could have done without that, at least with what story we got from him.

a huge missed opportunity with this guy, I wanted badly to team up with him to jolly stomp mother Miranda, not only that but he was the most interesting of the four lords, I also think he would have been more interesting to fight in his human form using his magneto powers to control metal, at the end of the day he just seem more dangerous than in the metal tank form he took, not only was he slower but he was a bigger target to attack. I'm just imagining how much more fun fighting his human form would have been to fight, you'd probably has a hurricane of metal trash swirling around him being used as a bullet shield and as an offensive attack, but I could imagine soldats occasionally jumping into the fight to aid him, also what if you could use the drill soldats to use there drill attacks to stun Heisenberg for a short time to open him up to attacks for a brief window of opportunity, it could have been so much better.

He’s pretty fleshed out in terms of what he thinks of the others lol I quite enjoyed how they conveyed it as well. Like him mentioning he didn’t figure you’d get past Donna or Moreau but Dimitrescu stopping you didn’t even register to him, I imagine he’s fairly neutral to Donna mostly just finds the doll creepy, and probably can’t stand Moreau’s diminished intelligence and somewhat child-like behavior. I find Neil Newbon’s voice acting to be hit or miss but I enjoyed the character overall despite the zaniness of it all.

I’m holding out the hope that Duke’s statement about still feeling Heisenberg’s essence wasn’t just an off handed comment and means we’ll see him again. He’s seriously too cool and hot to get rid of now. Other characters have returned from death (ahem Wesker), so why not him too? Edit: personally I felt more dread and fear during Heisenberg’s level than I did for Moreau’s and Lady D’s. It’s so dark and there’s no where safe, those tougher soldats can literally turn up anywhere, especially on VOS. Having hulking reanimated corpses lumber after you is far more Resident Evil than Beneviento’s spooky PT house was

the game and its evolution are all right in my books. the criticism it faces for being action-packed is rather weak for action is ancillary to most genres. Criticism would be justified if the franchise diverged radically from the expected product. but having comedy(like Heisenberg's references), action-packed sequences, or ancillary styles to advance the story, will always be justified. We've seen COD, BATTLEFIELD make significant shifts in their franchises, and rightfully so. If we risked being stagnant, the series would probably grow stale. New fans would probably never know the game.

Heisenberg's part is definitely a departure from the supernatural aspects of the rest of Village. I can understand why this ruined the flow of the game for a lot of people. I felt Heisenbergs part was a reminder of what the Resident Evil franchise has always been about; the t-virus, mold, mutations and zombies are all science fiction horror. It drew you back to the science fiction horror of the originals to continue the storyline. The supernatural things - the vampires lycans merpeople and posessed dolls - were merely symptoms of a scientific phenomenon.

Heisenberg is my favorite in Resident Evil Village, love the boss battle music. Ethan probably would've teamed up with him only if Heisenberg didn't say use Ethan's daughter Rose as a weapon, I believe if he didn't say that then they would've teamed up and that would've been a interesting team up. He was the main one I didn't want to kill off, with Moroeu it was a mercy killing but with Heisenberg even though he's a jerk, still felt bad for him with everything Miranda put him through and at least he experimented on dead bodies (still disrespectful regardless to the dead) but he didn't kill anyone to experiment on. I hope they use more of his character in the dlcs.

I thought Heisenberg was a really fun character who was restricted by some poorly thought out design choices, and questionable writing. I love seeing video games explore obscure powers like magnetism, so that was great to see with Heisenberg; and it fit the motif of a factory perfectly. The problem with that in game is that Ethan logically has no way to fight him unless Heisenberg isn't taking him seriously. All the weapons we use in game are made of metal, all Berg has to do is whip them out of Ethan's hands and then he's forced to have a conversation. They had to turn him into a giant monster, and shoehorn in a weapon that he can't control, with no explanation why he can't, (the guys on Oneyplays really ripped into that one.) The second issue I have with him has more to do with Ethan. After everything he's been through in the village, and after hearing Heisenberg's plan and motives, he should've been willing (even begrudgingly,) to accept the help. If he had, it would have broken the mold and opened up a ton of future story potential, and wouldn't have even deviated from the plot of the game going forward. It seems like the majority of players were in favor of working with Heisenberg too. Having Ethan reject him without fully considering his options seemingly because Heisenberg didn't see Rose the same way he did just made Ethan come across as an idiot, which is unfortunately consistent with his character in the series. All in all, I say Heisenberg was the funnest and most interesting of the four lords, but unfortunately had the most wasted potential.

Your opinion is that the game strayed off at the end from the creepiness of the rest of the game and was “off putting”. However, I think it was one of the creepiest parts. Horror is not one-dimensional and can take shape in many forms. I found the zombie mechanical men terrifying and a change in scenery from the rest of the game really kept me on my toes. I was creeped out on numerous occasions while traveling through Heisenberg’s factory.

Favorite Lord in the game, by far. His level wasn't amazing, but it's still second for me behind the castle. His personality and voice were just an absolute joy and I was disappointed at Ethan's hostility towards him and how easily he went down for his fight. His power is beyond cool, as well. If I had one complaint besides the boss battle, it'd be how he's framed in the beginning, although this may be just my fault. The part where he summons the Lycans had me thinking he was going to be the one most tied to them, with Urias wielding a greathammer like he does.
