@@ghostrouxinol6169 Ok that's besides the point. The stuff these kids are using is NOT made for their skin (because their skin isn't fully developed), kids don't need to put chemicals all over their face!!!! It's not good for their skin at their ages!!! Kids should be kids and play outside, play with dolls, legos, not using skincare/makeup!!!
Fr like I kinda get skincare for 12-13 since at that age you might start to get pimples and you wanna get rid of them or wanna have healthy skin like that’s ok Just not like drunk elephant because that is supposed to be used for older girls since your skin isn’t fully developed. makeup is ok in till your 16.
If you are that age you should not be commenting here, You should be studying, playing in a park and basically LIVING YOUR CHILDHOOD, social networks and places like RU-vid should also have an age limit. When these dumb kids find out what they missed by having their face stuck in a cell phone, it will be too late.
I'm 16 and I have never bought a single thing from there. The only make up I own is an essence mascara, dollar store eyebrow pencil (I have a scar on my eyebrow), Blusher, and a Labello lip balm.
As an esthetician I’m more concerned about the chemicals these parents & kids are allowing to be put on their face without them even knowing . Like girl you are TEN you do not need AHA OR BHA IN ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS
Girl, everything is a "chemical". Your plain water is a "chemical". Stop using the word "chemical" to scare people cuz that's basically what your body's composed of but yeah 10 year olds don't need acids on their faces.
@@tianalopez5676it’s a stupid little product that’s all over tik tok kids are buying it because it’s a “trend” it’s also very expensive and not needed but according to social media it’s a very “good product” but I don’t think kids should be using drunk elephant it’s mentally for adults.
Yess!! As an 11 year old, i don't do any of this and so many people are saying so many bad things about us! Like I'm so shy I could honestly never and it does make me so sad to see people my age and younger acting like this..
@@AlxohaHaze_OfficialI’m 12 and I absolutely agree. Most people my age are chill at sephora, but anyone 10, some 11, some 12 and under shouldn’t be allowed to do this.
Im 11 and I know about the 10 year olds at Sephora. I'm always super respectful to the employees and I only go there to look at stuff. Some kids can actually behave
Yea same! I’m 13 and whenever I go to Sephora or ulta or just anything like those shops,I always get so scared or embarrassed to be there cause the employees sometimes look at me weirdly when I’m just trying to get a lip oil or a perfume mist. It’s scary cause I don’t want people thinking I’m there to destroy the testers of drunk elephant or glow recipe😭
As a ten year old who just got back from sephora. I don't use retinol. I basically never use testers except like smelling perfume and if i ever end up buying drunk elephant (which i don't have now) it will be the body lotion. My "Thank you!" and smile makes them say " Thank you for being so respectful!" which proves that this is true for Some sephora ten yr olds.
exactly! its very sad how some disrespectful ten year olds made tiktok think that EVERY ten year old is like this. (not all of tiktok but like a lot of it) and i was walking in to get smth for my friend (the sol de janeiro mist) and there were these teens behind me saying ‘’omg sephora ten yr old’’ like… and i went to the serum section bc my MOM wanted to get smth from there.. not me
Dude the only way I knew she was trolling at the very beginning because we know Haley would never tell a story like that. She taught us how to do that 😂
I'm 12 and I am grateful that I was taught respectfulness and gratefulness by my parents. I do go to Sephora or Ulta and shop (with my mom) but I NEVER leave a mess on testers, and I never use harsh skincare or heavy makeup on my skin (only things made for my skin type because I have oily and acne-prone skin ), and I will NEVER be rude to anybody at Sephora or anywhere, ESPECIALLY not stealing things out of peoples baskets!
Same here. I am 12 but everyone thinks I am very mature and respectful for my age. I go shopping with my mom or my friend and our moms. I never mess with anything because it's kinda gross messing with the testers, and I was taught to leave things better then I found them. ❤❤
Stop my jaw dropped when you said they took the sunscreen out of your basket and I was about to send this to my little sister who told me about the sephora kids. I was less convinced when you said they rolled back the cameras tho because I’ve been in retail for ten years and I’ve never worked somewhere who had access to the cameras like that without contacting corporate lol. So when you said that I was like hmmmm those are some helpful employees 🤔🤔
My old job actually had the cameras in the back so she definitely had me going…lol. It saved me when someone broke into my register and stole money while I was on break. I was so scared because I really liked the job and didn’t want to get fired.
@@creativelychandra Wow that’s crazy. That’s good they were able to access the cameras. Most places I’ve worked we just had the cameras on a live feed and had to request from corporate to play them back but now that I think of it, it could have also been that no one even knew how to work the cameras to play them back lol
As a 16 year old who only wears minimal makeup unless it’s for dance and theatre shows, I can say with full confidence that I am so disappointed in todays kids 😭
@@JadenSquither make-up stops your skin from breathing and recovering from the day. I wish I knew earlier how make-up would effect my skin in the long term.
STORY-TIME! As a 13 year old girl, I totally understand these concerns. When I was 10 I was still playing dress up with my American Girls dolls. But a couple of days ago I was watching a video on yt and see the drunk elephant testers and I could not believe my eyes! They were destroyed and I mean it! I do use drunk elephant and I understand that younger girls would want to use it because it has cool packaging and it’s all over TikTok but I don’t understand why they have to pump it out and make a skincare smoothie and NOT clean it up. Like just pump it out try it and clean it up. Also ever sense I started doing my skincare and makeup (which I started doing around 11) I only used a light brown mascara. AND THATS IT. But a couple of days ago my little sister turned 8 and before she would always ask my mom for her drunk elephant bronzing drops and the most ironic part is that when my mom would say no she would use mine.. and one day I come home from school and there is bronzing drops mixed in with my moisturizer and it’s all destroyed! Also (I payed for all my drunk elephant my self). So then my 8 year old sister asks for drunk elephant for her birthday and guess what she gets it! And then she showed my mom her Amazon cart… $459 later she has everything from the Rosi Drops all the way to a retinol serum. i just don’t get it
my 10 yr old sis friends are literally telling her 'omg girl u need to go to sephora and ulta! ' and i went with my mom one time and i saw like 9 year old kids telling their mom "MOM I NEEEEED DRUNK ELEPHANT AND SERUMS AND FACE MASKS AND A SKIN CARE FRIDGE" WTH 🤦♀️
@@immaseahorse24 no I’m just saying they don’t things that are like 50 dollars when they’re skin is already flawless and you can get som things that aren’t like super expensive that are good for your skin, I know it can come off to seem like that’s what I meant so sorry for not clarifying 😅
sephora tweens scare the ever loving crap out of me (also yes I’ve walked into a sephora and saw an absolute trashed drunk elephant stand, it was disgusting.)
When I go in there and their in there I hide in the back of the store because they always give me dirty looks or side eye me 😭😭😭 like I’m just trying to shop go back to ur Barbie dolls for a couple more years pleasee
As a 12 year old I know everything abt makeup because my mom is a makeup artist so I pick up alot of things first hand but the Sephora 10 year olds are literally different breeds 😭❤️
these gremlins cannot be stopped. i’m actually like lowkey worried this is gonna be the downfall of sephora, bc these ten year olds have single-handedly pushed me to shop for makeup online. if my foundation shade is wrong, oh well. at least i know it’s coming from a warehouse basically where a 10 year old hasn’t used it and put it back with their hot cheeto dust covered fingers and ipad kid juice. (i don’t like children)
At this point Sephora has more children putting money in the wallets rather than actual adults. These ten year olds really have no business buying makeup and skincare when at that age theyre skin is practically perfect ( not saying all ten year olds have perfect skin and ofc if they actually need need it then that’s understandable)And also these products are expensive and im pretty sure they aren’t the ones paying for all those products and sometimes they don’t even need it.
@@immaseahorse24 I literally mentioned if they really need it then thats understandable and these kids arent JUST wearing sunblock and when theres clear evidence of ten year olds destroying products and making going to Sephora a bad experience then expect people to talk about to it 🧍♀️
Tbf 10 year olds were shoplifting when I was a kid. 12 year olds were smoking and 14 year olds were doing weed 🤷♀️ "Stealing" sunscreen seems like a behavioural improvement.
So today I went to Sephora and I am 12 years old and I felt so embarrassed because I feel like everyone thought me and my friends were going to be those drunk elephant Sephora kids so every time an employee came out to us we were like trying so hard to be the most polite kids they ever met Because we didn’t want to seem like brats😭
as longs as they are respectful to the employees I don’t think there is anything wrong with it , they will obviously want to do what other people are doing ❤
I think kids can have a face wash and lotion because thats all i had when i was a kid, we didn't have toner, serum, facial mist none of that!! all of these kids childhoods are being ruined by influencers promoting skincare and making children feel like they need it. the drunk elephant testers in my sephora have scarred me for life..
Also they all want iPhones and most have them.sadly my 9 yr olds been on this kick and says everyone my age has one but me she uses my android and feels it's not cool.crazy how fast times change nobody had phones in my high school I was a early 2000s graduate
Ok I’m 12 and yes I have a good amount of stuff. I have 1 thing from drunk elephant which is the polypeptide cream. I only use blush, highlighter, and concealer. My mom always goes with me and I always say excuse me or thank you and the most I’ve spent at one time was 70 but that was on the moisturiser. But I went today and saw a 4 YEAR OLD. And she had a sister who was maybe 13 at the drunk elephant section and literally OPENED THE MOISTURISER FROM THE BOX. I was shook. And the 4 year old tried to get the b hydra serum. THANKFULLY the mom only let her get the laneige lip blowy balm.
omg i actually believed it! but i can’t blame myself, i was born in 2010 so i’m on the brink of being ripped in with the 9-10 year olds but i am honestly embarrassed to go into sephora bc of those types of kids
Ok though, I can totally relate. I'm a 2005 but still - the stereotypes of kids my age embarrasses me like whenever I go somewhere people will judge me cuz they think I'm a typical kid my age up to no good 😭 like for example at my school I have senior study hall which allows you to leave the building, so I went to the store and I got so many glares from adults probably thinking I was a naughty typical kid skipping school💀 like dude just cuz of one rotten berry in the bunch everyone is assumed to be bad but that's just not true :( there are GOOD KIDS OUT THEREEE just like there's good "10 year old Sephora girls" (like you)
so fr EDIT: I got scared when she said it was fake. It was a good story😔😔😘✋🏼😤 EDIT: like she said the sephora kids are terrifying😔😔 EDIT: what she said she stole it😲😯🙊
Okay honestly she had me extremely invested in this story until the last 2 seconds. LMAO. But to be real this kind of thing is definitely happening in Sephora stores nowadays. Tweens are running rampant and their behavior is absolutely disgusting.
Honestly it’s great imo that young kids are taking care of themselves and are getting into makeup safely rather than using toy palettes that aren’t dermatologically approved
Yeah, they "take care of themselves" meaning they will ruin their faces with stuff they don't need, wear makeup at age 10, get filler and botox at 16 and look like overused lizards at 30. Meanwhile they'll have 0 attention span and will not be able to spell or use grammar to save their lives, well that's 90% of Americans already anyway lol. Empty shells only caring about surface. 10 year olds looking for makeup and retinol creams....jesus christ. And you find this ok. TEN YEARS OLD. Muricaaaaaa
That’s actually crazy- all these stories are piling up in like a matter of weeks 😭😭😭 kids shouldn’t even need skincare or makeup like whatttttt. AND THE AUDACITY OF ALL OF THEM MAKES ME SHOOK
As a 13 year old, soon to be 14. I am a little disappointed in Gen Alpha. Where are the manners? Where is the logic? Do the kiddos even know what they are buying, what different ingredients do? You DON'T need to have a 20-step skincare routine for it to be effective. Usually, you need a 3-4 step routine. And you don't need to have the most expensive things. I know a LOT of things about ingredients used in skincare, and if I go to sphora or ulta for something, I know what I am buying. I watched real chemists, dermatologists, and aestheticians explaining about skincare ingredients, formula, and other things on youtube. So I would say that I am educated. Of course, I still might not know a lot of things in this topic, but at least I know what I am doing.
I’m a teenager and I never go to Sephora I go to ulta though all the time. Two of my friends have some small modeling jobs so I shop with them and my bestfriend all the time and we like getting cheap makeup and stuff but now we aren’t allowed in Sephora without our parents at the local one. It’s incredibly frustrating because (we aren’t like disrespectful we try to stay quiet and out of peoples ways) we just need to grab stuff to go. These little tiny children and their drunk elephant are totally ruining it even when we do get inside.
I expected it especially when you said they watched the cameras. If this happened in real life they’d probably just apologize or help you look for another one in the back
The Sephora kids are actually getting out of hand...I went to sephora the other day to try out the drunk elephant glowy drops (hoping there was a tester available). The second I walked in there, just a huge mess. The whole ass stand was covered in serums, some kid literally wiped the shelves with serums, bottles on the floor, and of course those skincare smoothies clogged up in every container. There were 6 little girls raiding the sol de Janeiro stall, Just filling their baskets with absolutely every perfume and cream..NO PARENTS, JUST WILD KIDS RUNNING AROUND A COSMETICS STORE! One of them knocked my products right out of my hand and ran away with them, thankfully there were more on the shelf. I'm seriously wondering why Sephora has turned into a literal playground. What happened to Claire's??
Samee!! I'm 11 too and also really shy, so I will really only talk to someone if I can literally not at all find what I'm looking for! (Usually i'm looking for glossier and sol de janeiro and not anything else)
As a 10-year-old, I despised even the very idea of makeup. Almost four years later and I am REALLY not impressed with the ten-year-olds of today, like tf?! You haven’t even stopped loosing teeth yet!
I do not know why some of you think kids should not be in Sephora and ulta whatsoever as long as they are respectful have an adult and do not make a mess i think they are fine. I remember being 7 years old and liking beauty products and not having social media or grwms and liking makeup and face masks. As long as they are in their own house and not in public let them play with makeup and skincare ect. For ages 9-13 all they really need for skincare is cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen the others are unnecessary but as long as they do not damage the skin its fine and depending on if the child has acne a little more skincare the average age for girls to start experiencing acne is anywhere from 8-14 years of age. For middle school makeup appropriate for school is VERY light natural makeup such as concealer, lipgloss, blush ect. I am not saying that this is still not a problem whatsoever because, it still is but i think it can be handled better. Thank you for reading this comment. 😊
