/ How long have you been longboarding? / I think I started in 2012, you can do the math ;)
/ How long does it take to edit the videos? / Waaay too long, about 5 hours for a 8min video. Been doing it for years and years though and it slowly goes faster the more I do it.
/ How much does the Royal Tribe cost? / The board costs 199 euros without shipping.
/ Does Crownboards ship to "..."? / Crownboards ships to almost every country, but the price will increase with more distance. Europe has pretty cheap shipping prices, you should contact Crownboards for more info about other countries.

Dude best vid so far. I started longboarding a month ago but wanted to start months back because I saw a vid with you and a Korean friend longboard dancing. I thought that it was the coolest. This summer I got my first longboard and want to get up to the level that you are on. I just need to practice some more. In the future I would like to know how to dance and do all of the freestyle tricks and of course on my own crown board. Keep up the good work. Your effort shows in the vids. This is the highest quality youtube channel for skating out here. Love it.

I love how you have been taught to not just pick something up for a couple months (or even weeks) and then give it up. But to really continue through and use it. It really shows how you've continued with both your interests.

Honestly it caught my surprise by how good this video was, damn thanks for being open and keeping things so real, it actually felt like i caught a glimpse of your journey really happy for you. I do street skateboarding but i love these types of tricks, ill probably get a freestyle board and pursue this style, for the time being im just going to have fun doing this tricks on my popsicle deck lol

What an amazing story... *sniff* you've gained 3k subs ever since I subscribed to your channel. Hans I know that Crownboards will become a huuuge huge popular brand (even though it kind of is right now) and so is this channel. You have so much passion and commitment in your heart and it tickles me to see that! :') I actually got interested into longboard dancing back in late May and I was watching all these videos here on RU-vid and I stumbled upon your longboard tips. Ben vandaag mijn eerste longboard gaan kopen en ga er morgen direct mee beginnen oefenen. Ben superblij dat ik een Belgisch kanaal heb gevonden die zo gedetailleerd is omtrent longboarding en skaten. Ik denk dat meisjes echt wel in de minderheid zijn in de skating/longboarding gemeenschap, maar het is zo'n coole sport/activiteit. Ik droom er al van om zoals die jongens downhill aan crazy snelheden te cruisen. Is echt te gek voor woorden. Keep it up Hans!

Nothing is more motivating than this video :D I got my first board of my parents after I had to convince them a long time to buy me one and then it was a mindless board. After that I spend every day and tryed new tricks and stuff so that my friends told me that I'm not normal:D They also buyed a board but they just cruised sometimes. So usually I skate alone with my brother who is a skateboarder. Now I'm working for a big skate video my whole vacations. My biggest dream is to find people to skate with because there are not much longboarder like me in the town. So I hope I can reach my things just like you. But I think alot can happen in my second year of longboarding because the community is very expanding. Thanks for all the inspiration :D

I've finally reached the point where I'm comfortable on my board and have met a few fellow longboarders along the way. Funny enough, we met in a parking lot while each trying to learn to stay on our boards. But I appreciate you taking the time to give some advice.

Wow I know I’m super late on this video but ima chime in with these guys and say thank you for the inspiration. I’ve snowboarded since I was 4, and skateboarded just a little bit in middle school but I was always afraid to get into it because there was never really a community of boarders in my area. My hometown only has about 20k people. Now however I am a sophomore in college and in my second year of longboarding. I got to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The campus there is HUGE so it could take me 30 minutes to walk to class. I had seen a few guys on boards and thought I’d try it. I watched some of your videos and have fallen in love with dancing. You mentioned a challenge you had used in previous videos when you were starting up. I was thinking while watching this is it would be pretty badass if you were to start making challenge videos that are aimed to take you from the VERY BASICS all the way to advanced. If you made a new challenge video each week/month/two-weeks telling the viewers to practice one new trick or dance sequence. (Also might suggest they post the videos and tag you, ultimately more advertising for you.) Viewers might feel like it’s more personal for them and grow as you go. Anyways my appreciation for you again, let me know what you think about the idea if you read this and I hope someday you will come visit Texas someday!

Hey, great to hear your story and how you got into Longboarding. I think that’s a great opportunity for me to say thanks. I was cruising just casually for about 1 ½ year but I just lost the interest in it and put my longboard in any corner and stopped using it. My parents died this year in an accident, I was really depressed and just wanted to be alone and do nothing. But after some time I found your channel and I was so fascinated from all that tricks and dance steps that I searched for my board and left my house after so long time. I started about 2 or 3 month ago and I just got back in my live. Its so much fun to skate and to learn/improve tricks and steps. I have made so cool friends which I met at skating and experienced so many cool stories. So, thanks:D .if you have not inspired me to skate, I would probably still just laying around in my house.

this is really awesome cause i am now longboarding for half a year (well actually a year but i didnt really do it alot) and now i motivated my brother to also longboard, and he really liked it! so now we longboard like alot but i still longboard like 60/70% on my own and my friends also like longboarding now i showed them. so that's pretty simular with your story :D

Hey! This is really cool, love hearing people's stories. I am recently getting into the long boarding and vlogging scene. Just want to cruise on the longboard though, and enjoy the feeling! But, I actually work with films in a different way! I am a music composition student studying in Nashville. I loved this video! So much detail and it's great to find out your story! I wanted to start longboarding and I fell in love with watching dance and freestyle videos - unfortunately being new to longboarding I'm not sure if I picked the best board to learn that on, but I still hope to learn dance and freestyle enough on it so eventually I can upgrade to a dancer. You're videos are awesome and inspire me to try longboarding more and more! - Also would you recommend I either take some grip tape off my board or just less grippy grip tape (my grip tape is extra course and for downhill/freeride) would it help dancing? Anyway amazing video as always!

it all depends on preference. no grip tape helps especially for pirouettes and some other tricks but u may also want grip tape for better board control. hope this helps!

Hi! I'm very glad that you enjoyed the video and to hear you started longboarding. Any board will be good to start with so no worries :) Like Tim says, it's all preference. If the grippiness bothers you, you could make it less grippy by rubbing another piece of sandpaper on the parts that are too grippy. Then you still have your grip but not the super grippy downhill griptape. Anyways, keep enjoying it and shredding!
